One of the popular beaches of Thiruvananthapuram. The famous Madre De Deus church is situated on this beach, which makes this place popular for. Hundreds of people visit this church especially on weekends. The beach is wide and beautiful.

A wonderfully clean beach with white sands just adjacent to the Madre de Deus Church in Vettucaud in Trivandrum. It was not very crowded when I visited at about 11 am, but there were a lot of fishing boats readying to go to sea, and a few people who had come to visit the Church. In the evenings, it gets crowded, specially on holidays and weekends.

Beautiful Church and serene beach.Parking near by the beach maybe an issue in weekend, but there is additional parking on the other side of the road (further down the road)dedicated for the church.Beach was crowded owing to the closure of Shanghumugam beach.

Nice quiet stretch. Ideal for family visits in the evenings. The Vettukad Church is opposite the beach and it is marvelous building with very fine architecture. You cannot bath in the sea.

An environment where we can unwind all our mental stress.... Sitting facing towards the sea..... While entering the Church itself receive some positive energy...able to ignore all the angst and sadness while being inside this church and praying...

It's a nice place to spend with family and friends, church is right next to the beach. And beach is open for everyone. However during any festival time it will be too much crowded otherwise it's a calm relaxing place to hangout. Very good vibe, cool winds, cool nights, moderate days etc are the advantages besides the site of the Great church. For believers the church may offer super confidence, and for non believers it offers the the vibrance of the sight. But the sea is highly polluted, sights of plastic and other pollutants are common. To those visitors, come and enjoy the place but please don't pollute. The waves come up the beach was so beautiful. Watching the sunset is the best timing. People from all around the city and village will visit the church on Fridays. Parking is little bit difficult even if they have plenty of space around the church.

It's one of the well known churches. A beautiful church close to the sea. Friday is usually a rush here. The rest of the days you don't find it busy. The beach gives a beautiful view to the church. Its a best place where you take your family out and refresh your thoughts.

It's a very calm place to be..in the evening there is a huge church in the beach. Called Christ the King church. It's a newly opened and fabulous church in south Kerala. The exterior and interior design of the church is highly mesmerizing. You should visit this place once you are in Trivandrum. The nearby beach is not that big and quite ok for an evening outing. You will get icecreams and other snacks in the nearby shops which are there on the beach. You will get ample space for free parking as well. So it's not a big headache to take your car and family to this place

Whether you believe in god or not; this place will give you a positive vibe for sure. Such a calm quite place where anyone can visit without any religious constraints.

One of the most beautiful churches, if not the most beautiful in kerala. There is a divine aura inside this place of worship, as it'll soothe your soul as you sit there peacefully. The seamless blend of traditional and modern architecture as well as the woodwork is breathtakingly beautiful. Must visit place if you are anywhere near trivandrum.

Vettukad Church, also known as Madre de Deus Church, is located in Thiruvananthapuram. It is one of the oldest Latin Catholic churches in the region, with a history dating back to the 16th century. It is situated near to beach. Very calm & quite place. The church is renowned for the annual festival, "Feast of Our Lady of Good Voyage," attracting a large number of devotees. The vibrant cultural and religious traditions make it a significant pilgrimage site in Kerala. Has good parking space also.

Vettukadu Beach is a beautiful and secluded beach located just a short drive from Thiruvananthapuram near Madre De Deus Church (Vettucaud Church). The beach is known for its pristine sand, clear waters, and stunning views of the Arabian Sea. It is a great place to relax, swim, sunbathe, or simply enjoy the peace and quiet. The beach is not as crowded as some of the other beaches in the area, making it a perfect spot to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. There are a few small shops and restaurants near the beach, but it is not as developed as some of the other beaches in the area. This is part of what makes it so special. If you are looking for a beautiful and peaceful beach to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of Kerala, Vettukadu Beach is a great option.

Vettukadu Beach in Trivandrum, Kerala, is a hidden gem tucked away along the coastline of the Arabian Sea. With its serene atmosphere, breathtaking views, and rich biodiversity, this beach offers a delightful escape from the bustling city life. Upon arrival at Vettukadu Beach, visitors are immediately struck by its untouched beauty. The golden sands stretch as far as the eye can see, inviting you to take a leisurely stroll along the shore or simply relax and soak up the sun. The beach is less crowded compared to other popular tourist spots, creating a more intimate and peaceful experience. One of the most captivating aspects of Vettukadu Beach is its stunning natural landscape. The azure waters of the Arabian Sea, adorned with gentle waves, provide a picturesque backdrop against the lush greenery surrounding the beach. It's truly a paradise for nature lovers and photographers alike. Vettukadu Beach is also renowned for its biodiversity. The beach is home to a variety of marine life, and during low tide, you can witness locals engaging in traditional fishing methods, which adds a touch of cultural authenticity to the experience. Another highlight of Vettukadu Beach is the Vettukadu Church, also known as the St. John the Baptist Church. This centuries-old church stands as a symbol of faith and architectural grandeur. Visitors can explore the tranquil ambiance of the church, admire its intricate craftsmanship, and partake in religious ceremonies if desired. While Vettukadu Beach offers a serene environment, it is important to note that there are limited facilities available. It's worth mentioning that the best time to visit Vettukadu Beach is during the early morning or evening when the weather is more pleasant. The scorching midday sun can be intense, so sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses are essential. In summary, Vettukadu Beach is a hidden paradise that offers a serene and authentic coastal experience in Trivandrum, Kerala. Its untouched natural beauty, rich biodiversity, and cultural significance make it a must-visit destination for nature enthusiasts, photographers, and those seeking a peaceful escape from the city. The water/sea was clean. The beach was a little littered with bottles and wrappers. Few small food joints available selling mostly snack items (chaat, pani puri) The church is on the beach itself and is very beautiful from the inside and outside.

Nice place for couples for walking... Loveing moments ....Vettukadu Beach is situated at a distance of 3 km from Shanghumugham Beach. It is a sandy beach with fishing boats, and a clear view of the horizon. The famous Vettukadu Church is located in the beach. The beach is less crowded and not safe for swimming. The best time to visit is an hour before sunset when you get to experience the sun-filled golden hour.

One of the biggest churches in south India. It comes under the arch diocese of trivandrum( Latin). It's located in the sea shore area. We can see the flights bit near from the ground while standing in front of the church. The interior of this church is just amazing.. Its request for the people. It is a religious place and maintains the decency of the same.. And drop your waste in a proper manner. Don't jumb into the sea without proper safety
