This is one of the pond inside University of karyavattom campus. The pond have some of tragical misbelief ( still believe that its just a story). But in 2019 it's upgraded to a hygenic pond.. its almost 10-12 feet in depth.

Hymavathi pond is a pond inside the campus area of University College kariyavattom It's also known as "chira" There are lot of fairy tale stories about this pond in campus.

Quite infamous over the past 30-40 years as one of the most haunted spots that Trivandrum can offer, Hymavathi's pond is the stuff of urban legends. This is a super-eerie pond and an abandoned pump house in the midst of thick woods. The time I went, the whole place was infested with large worms. This is a perfect spot for thrill-seekers as there is something quite naturally creepy about the place.
