Almost 340-year-old tree! Not every day you get to see something that cool! Was around during the signing of the Constitution! Awesome piece of history preserved!

This is my 2nd time of going to see the huge tree! I love to go to admire the huge graceful branching old tree. I'm a plant person so this is a reason I like seeing the tree. I live in central Florida and don't get to see the tree too often but when I do..it's a trilling experience for me!

This tree was approximately 175 years old when Abraham Lincoln was president. Our kids thought that was super cool. It's a short walk from the library, and worth seeing if you're passing through.

Such a beautiful tree! The story of the tree is that it was already planted and growing when the Constitution was signed. How amazing is that! You get to stand next to something that was alive and well when our United States Constitution was drafted and signed. Amazing! There is the sign in front of the tree that gives you all the basic information about the tree itself. And if you look on the back of that sign, there are instructions on where to stand and then dial the number on your phone and get your picture taken from the top of the telephone pole catty-cornered across the street. And it's free! Very cool! Just be very careful if you take a high profile vehicle there, like a motor home. Check it out on Google maps in satellite mode first before you do it. I got through there with my Super C, but I had to dodge a couple of branches and had to turn back on one street because it had a clearance of 9'6". You can park half a block away and be fine. But so worth it! Happy trails!

One of the largest and most beautiful oak trees I've ever seen. Like the sign says please be respectful. Very awe inspiring.

The Big Oak was definitely a memorable experience. When I say his name fits him perfectly. He is The Big Oak!! He sits perfectly on the corner and is so beautiful. Definitely can tell his age due to all the chains and bars holding him up and the limbs are amazing. My children loved visiting him this weekend. Definitely will be back.

It’s a big oak tree. A nice place to sit in the shade with a packed lunch from town. The gazebo is nice also

Enormous and impressive Old Maple tree! Amazing to see moss grow all over the branches and then little ferns on top of that. If trees could talk ... the stories we could learn.

It's exactly as described. However a few benches or picnic tables would be nice. This could be an amazing community space in addition to just the tree.

This is a really great and historical place . This Oak tree is more that 338 years old. When you reach there you will have some different vibes. Warm and comfortable vibes. If any one feels the same or not but I have a very happy vibes in there because of the tree. Old trees have a great healing power if you will be around them or you touch them same as elephant. This oak tree is at the side of the road on open place you can park your car in the street and spend some time with this historical tree. I just salute the people behind this tree who are taking care of this tree. Look at all the support they have make which help this great tree to stand up. Go and hug this tree, you will feel happy. Enjoy

A must stop for anyone visiting the charming city of Thomasville, Georgia. 68 feet high, a limb span of 165 feet, and a trunk circumference of more than 26 feet, this beautiful tree stands on 2/3 acres.
