My old review has been deleted somehow so I'm leaving another. It was a long review about how Marty messed up my Leica lens and then pretended it was working fine until I caught him out. I actually went to speak to another camera repair place in Melbourne and mentioned how I'd had a bad experience, they knew straight away it was Vintech and said they'd heard countless horror stories about them. So it seems these guys have a bad reputation in the industry which isn't surprising.

handed in an old camera with a broken battery door that I recently bought, found more issues with the camera and was told its not worth the money to fix it. Very happy with the service as I wasn't taken advantage of, as I do not know cameras well. would recommend to help you out with any camera issues

Went to Vintech to get a quote for repairing my film camera (thinking there probably wouldn't be much saving it). But the guy working there tested a few things and gave it a clean and got it working again in 5 minutes and free of charge!!! Such good and friendly service, will definitely be back next time I need camera repairs - thank you!

Behind the Yellow Door you will find Marty who provides excellent service - I needed an urgent sensor clean done. Marty was happy to help and did the clean on the timeline advised and at a fair price (no price gouging here!). Both in person and on the phone I have found him personable and engaging. Businesses run like this deserve our patronage.

The guy that helped me at Vintech today was so incredibly nice, knowledgeable and helped me out of a real bind with my busted vintage camera. Places like this and people like this are rare and I look forward to the next time I inevitably break my camera and get to visit them again. Incredible service 10/10

I recently had my camera fixed at Vintech - it was completed quickly and returned fully functioning again. I've no issue with the repair, but was less pleased when I went to pay with my debit card. I was told that there would be a 1.5% surcharge. While, this surcharge is understandable for payments of less than $10, when paying a bill of close to $800, I found this a bit greedy/disrespectful. It was pointed out that there was no surcharge if paying by cash. Hmmmm...............I paid by card.

I took my lens for repair and when I get back it got blurry edges, I took a lot of pictures with it and it was naturally blurry, I took a few shots of the same scene with other lens and it was totally fine, and they said check no problem, I sent them a lot of pictures and they said it was my problem with taking pictures. I have been taking pictures for a year, will I not know these basics? I can only say that they not professional enough

Had a delightful experience here. I wanted to clean the dust off my camera on my DSLR. They did a great job and in an efficient manner.

Dropped my Nikon Z off here last week for a much needed sensor clean. Ready in less than two hours and a very reasonable cost. Couldn’t be happier with service. Zoe and Marty are a lovely friendly couple who run the business very smoothly. I highly recommend and will certainly return as needed.

Greatest service ever! My beloved camera stoped working so I brought it to the repair shop, a man fixed it in couple of minutes and didn't even take money. He explaind in details what exactly happened to camera and gave me a few valuable recommandations.

Amazing service! To the point and honest, and thankfully steered me away from simply replacing my Nikon D7500 after it suffered a nasty fall and snapped off the hotshoe mount. Speedy service, very affordable and in a great spot in town! Highly recommend.

Went to Vintech to fix an issue I had with my Canon and was fully expecting to pay a decent price for the fix. However, one of the technicians was able to fix the issue in about 2 minutes! Super helpful and friendly staff here, highly recommended!!

My less than 2 year old Canon lens had mould on it from a trip to Indonesia. I was a bit scared my lens was ruined, but luckily they were able to clean it. It was all cleaned in only a few days. Can definitely recommend!

I dropped in just at lunchtime and the smell was revolting but that's beside the point. Guy was helpful in getting my stuck filter off my lens, but when I asked if they could do anything to screw off the stuck head from my tripod, he said he can have a look at it for $75 bucks, ok. He just looked like he wanted to get back to his lunch to be honest. Fair enough bro.

Best place I've been to for camera repairs/services. I had an issue with my shutter a few weeks back and they did an amazing job. Then more recently I needed a battery for my lightmeter, I tried camera stores all throughout the city and then tried here as a wildcard attempt and they were kind enough to sell me one of theirs. They have a nice range of cameras on display and if I'm ever in need of a new one, will be coming here to buy as I know it'd be properly looked at and I'd be supporting a great business. Had trouble with my analog camera and the staff helped me to fix it within no time. Gave me tips and everything and when I asked what I owed them they said it was only minor and I didn’t need to give them anything. Would absolutely go here again if something goes wrong with my camera they are super helpful!

Came across this place as our old film camera (Nikon f301) stopped working on our little Melbourne holiday. The guy was an absolute legend! Found the problem and had it fixed in literally 10 minutes. Was so happy with his work I bought another pre-owned camera from his display 😅

Don't waste your time going to this place, they will take your money to look at your camera and then tell you it'll cost the same as a new camera. I'm not sure what the point of being a camera repair business is. Also, the people are arrogant

I had a faulty camera. I thought it was done for and needed to spend thousands to replace it. Took it into Vintech and the friendly people there fixed it and it was a reasonable time frame too. It wasn't expensive to get it fixed also. To my shock it comes with a 12 month warranty and the cleaned my sensor and outside of the camera too. I would recommend this camera repair place for all your camera repair needs. I hope I don't need to get my camera repaid again but if I do I will definitely cone back.

Dropped in with an older, but loved camera, today with a potentially faulty power button. The tech took a look and was able to provide a great service. In and out in a few minutes.

I came to Vintech to have my Cosina CT-1 repaired. The team replaced the light traps, however when I tested the camera it had a fault not previously picked up and not worth repairing. A few weeks later I replaced the camera and went back to Vintech who replaced the light traps for free as a gesture of goodwill. I will absolutely be back and am so grateful for the fantastic service. Thank you!

I had my SD card reader replaced here. It was my first time repairing my DSLR. When I called up, I was relieved that I was advised an estimated range for the cost for the repair. I had the SD card reader replaced at the cost I was informed. Unfortunately, there was probably some manufacturer's issues with the card reader that it drained the battery. I tested it out for a few months to confirm that. I called Vintech and he was happy to check it for me. After rounds of testings, Vintech identified the problem and replaced the SD card reader for me free of charge. I am very pleased with the outcome even though it took a while to repair it. It's easy to find a company to do the job. It's not easy to find a reliable company, which helps the client to rectify a problem when something didn't go as planned. I would highly recommend Vintech because you can trust them and they are reasonable.

This morning I brought my parents’ film camera for cleaning. I thought it has the stain inside the camera. But the lovely clerk have a look and find the stain is not inside. He helps me clean the camera in two mins. I would definitely recommend this store!

Got some work done by these guys back in March of 2020. Not only were they friendly but also gave me an honest quote and the work delivered was above expectations. Really happy and would recommend Vintech to anyone looking to have work done on their film camera.

Came in with a jammed film advance lever on an old camera fully expecting a full service to be required, but he fixed it on the spot in under 30 seconds! Not only that but he showed me how to unjam it myself for the future. Definitely returning for my future repair needs.
