We had such a fantastic time on a weekend getaway to Niagara Falls! We could NOT believe the size of this Loft room - it was absolutely gorgeous. Super happy that we decided to stay outside of the core and in this nice little spot. We were greeted so pleasantly by Karen at the front desk - she had our room ready for us before we were due to check in, which was a bonus for us! Everything was super clean and just really beautiful. Love love loved it. We would definitely return. 🩷🙏🏼✨

Pleasantly surprised at what a nice hotel after driving through what to be as a rough neighborhood. The room was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed and crisp white linins. Other than the dirty coffee cup and the broken toilet seat we had no complaints. We checked in later in the evening and it wasn't worth the bother to call down regarding the toilet seat, but I did leave a note in the room when we checked out. I'm sure had we called down it would have been taken care of, but it was late and after a long day of wine tasting we just wanted to get to sleep. As for the coffee cup - it happens, not a big deal. Overall would definitely recommend the hotel. It was close and convenient to getting around and had several amenities in the area. The staff was pleasant and welcoming.

Stunning and comfortable! Stayed at this hotel on August 28, 2021 with my wife. We booked the jacuzzi suite and it did not disappoint. The room was more than we expected. High ceilings with a fan, stone wall, comfortable king bed, leather couch, table set for 2 with wine glasses, plus a kitchenette complete with 2 breakfast bentos, a microwave and dishes. All these small details made our stay that much better. Our room package came with a gift waiting for us in the room. I won’t spoil the surprise but it was appreciated. We read some bad reviews on our drive up and was not sure what to expect, especially about the comfort of the bed. I can honestly say that we didn’t experience any of those negative comments made. In fact I have nothing bad to say. This spot is truly a hidden gem. My wife and I have found our new get away spot! Thank you for a great stay.

We enjoyed a very stylish and nicely decorated king suite with kitchenette. Continental breakfast brought to the room (night before) was just right to start the day. Colocated italian restaurant was great. Room was serviced each day we stayed. Short drive to the Falls. Would stay again.

We stayed here for one night, paying full price and found our stay very disappointing. We woke up the morning after our stay and found a leak in the bathroom ceiling, which dripped on us and on the towels. I made efforts to contact the hotel staff (office, front desk, after hours service etc) but no one picked up. I waited until operating hours had begun and made attempts to call again, still this time without any answer. Finally, the after hours staff answered my call, and I explained our situation. She apologized and offered me a full refund on our stay for the night. 2 hours later, I found they had only refunded me less than one third of what I paid for the stay. When I called them to get some clarification as to why I had not been issued the full refund I was promised, the staff said she spoke to the manager and they decided to refund only $100, and I was not called to be notified about this change in our agreement. When I asked her why this decision was made, she said it was because the only issue was the leak in the bathroom, and asked if the room had any other issues. For a four star hotel, a leak in the bathroom spilling on myself and the toileteries, and rendering the bathroom unuseable, this is unacceptable, and there shouldn't need to be more issues presented just to receive the money I was told I'd get back. Besides all this, the couch in the room we received was ripped and the elevator in the hotel was missing the button for the ground floor (I have pictures and videos of all these issues). We will not be staying here again in the future, due to the poor service we received, and we'd recommend others to avoid this location as well. Issues like these ultimately are not the problem, leaks and equipment failure happen, its normal, but we're very disappointed in the response we received in dealing with these issues, especially considering we have stayed here multiple times in the past.

Wow, blown away by the support and service last night. Our association accidentally didn't book, and 75 people showed up and the hotel accommodated us, food and everything. Dinner was outstanding. They did so graciously, seamlessly and quickly. Huge kudos. Can't give a higher rating.

Simply put this is a beautiful hotel. It was well kept and the staff were very friendly. Aside from the restaurant on-site there really is nothing else within a decent walking distance. However there are dozens are places a quick drive away. Niagara falls is also a fairly quick drive, so this is a great alternative then the overpriced places there.

My wife and I took a weekend trip to St. Catherine's from Windsor and spent the night here. The inn had a shared parking lot with a few other businesses but had plenty of space; there was a restaurant, floral business, and inn in the vicinity. They even have space for special events. The inn had a historic look to it and was a bit different than other hotels/motels; they didn't have breakfast (that I know of) because there was a restaurant downstairs already and the front desk closes at 9pm. However, help is only a phone call away; in the rooms, there is a binder like in some air b&bs where they explain to you what's in the nearby areas, phone numbers for services, etc. The room was a bit small but clean and had everything you would need, from a microwave and mini fridge to TV and small desk. The bathroom had plenty of countertop space and everything was functioning properly (even had a tub for those who likes taking baths). Although the wifi and TV signal was a bit iffy at times, our stay there was still very pleasant. The inn was fairly small but was more personal or close, they treated you differently than other hotels. Overall, I recommend giving this place a try the next time you visit St. Catherine's, with decent rates and historic look, you'll definitely enjoy your time here.

My husband and I went on our first mini trip together after having our son to a wedding in st Catherine's and we stayed here. It is a beautiful building and a great location. Very close to niagra falls and easy to get to. We only had to talk with one staff member at check in and he was super nice and funny. We will definitely be staying again if we are in the area!

Absolutely amazing experience! The property is stunning, staff were great, room was gorgeous, and amenities were lovely!

  • 4/5 Michelle 9 months ago on Google
The hotel is in the perfect location because all the amenities you might want are within minutes of the hotel, and some are attached. Niagra on the Lake and Niagara Falls are within minutes, but it's not as expensive as staying in Niagara. Our room was one of the loft suites, so we had a kitchen, and the grocery store is within walking distance along with the LCBO ... bonus. The hotel needs a few upgrades, I would say, but it is a historic hotel, after all. The hotel is beautiful and the staff are beautiful, friendly, professionals and very accommodating. We will go again.

Had a wonderful overnight at Stone Mill Inn. Easy access from either the QEW or 406. Well-appointed, generously sized room made for a pleasant stay. Great location for venturing to the many nearby wineries. Very close to some excellent restaurants.

We loved our stay at the Inn. Great location to grab a Starbucks in the am or a nice bottle of wine at LCBO. Also close to the wine regions and outlet malls. Room was quiet nice and clean. Also great meal in the adjacent restaurant.

Excellent boutique hotel. Rooms are nice and centrally located. Restaurant on-site is very good. The only issue was the HVAC. Too warm in the room, freezing in the hallway. Strange.

This is a great place to stay! Right in the middle of Niagara-on-the-lake & Niagara Falls! Beautiful rooms! Great Staff! Johnny Rocco’s on site. Really enjoyed our stay!

Attended a business meeting at the inn and had a great time. The venue itself is breathtaking and the food was delicious. We have a variety of items from the Johnny Rocco's menu including rice balls, pizza, bruschetta, spinach dip, and parm chips which were SO good. It was my first time here and I'd definitely go back and recommend this to friends.

My daughter had the best Bridal Shower ever in the ballroom at Stonemill this past Sunday. The venue was beautiful and they worked very hard to make the Bride feel honored and special at the shower. The food was delicious, and the staff could not have been more helpful or courteous to everyone. Our coordinator Madison Canham made planning this event effortless. Thank you for going above and beyond to make Judy’s bridal shower perfect and you did!! Everyone commented on how beautiful it was and the food was delicious! I highly recommend the Stonemill to anyone looking for a beautiful venue, and to ask for Madison, she is the best!! You won’t be disappointed. Thank you again.

Lovely hotel with an old elegant charm. Beautifully decorated lobby, with Christmas trees and lights everywhere. The staircase is a show stopper, and the resturant is adorned with these massive indoor iron gates (a rustic and beautiful design) the rooms were very clean and comfortable. The exposed brick in the room was a bonus, getting that elegant charm carried through from the lobby. The walls are a tad thin, and we did have a bad mannered guest beside us, however the overall hotel experience was lovely.

Pleasant, clean, modern well appointed room. We stayed one night mid week while hiking Bruce Trail. Exceptionally quiet. Great bed. Nice restaurant attached. Also walking distance to Keg, Kelseys and Boston Pizza. I would definitely return.

We had our wedding block at the Stone Mill Inn and it was the most perfect spot we could have chosen. The rooms are beautiful and the staff is so friendly and helpful, especially Gena who went above and beyond to make sure us and our guests had everything we needed.

Gina is an amazing hostess. Accommodations are clean and very roomy. We were greeted with a complimentary bottle of wine. Wine glasses and a corkscrew in the room (iykyk), and complimentary water bottles, which should always be there but are often charged.

The hotel was amazing and the service was top class. The receptionist went above and beyond for our stay there and made sure we were well taken care of. This was during the snowstorm and was very accommodating with everything and welcoming.

My wife and I loved the room, the dining was excellent. Great ambiance. We loved our stay (Sept 21) which was convenient to our cycling through Niagara for some winery touring.

It was a very nice looking hotel, rooms are so pretty and the staff are all so kind. The food in the restaurant was amazing. The biggest issue we had was the cleanliness of the room, the closet didn't look like it had been cleaned or vacuumed in a long time (when my pants fell on the ground they were full of dustbunnies and hair).we did a quick wipeover of table and chairs with a wipe due to the virus and our wipe was filthy of dust and I knew it would be as I could see the layers of dust before wiping. The biggest issue for me was the dirty wine glasses and coffee mugs. One wine glassed you can tell was literally just wiped with a cloth and one mug still had coffee at the bottom. Regardless of a pandemic that is my biggest dusgust that I have with going anywhere and to have this happen to two of the 4 glasses we checked..there was no housekeeping available on the second night of our stay and they didn't tell us until about six but the lady did come from downstairs to see if we needed anything so that was nice. There was no hot water in shower either, my husband took a bath both days as it was nice there but just no hot water in shower.

Booked the Loft Suite. It's a very nicely decorated 2 level room with a full kitchen, dining area, living room and bathroom with Jacuzzi tub on the first floor. King size bed and TV on the loft level. This suite gets full marks for value as it's only a bit more per night than the premium suite. What made this stay even better was the Dinner Package at Johnny Rocco's their on site restaurant. We paid an extra $30 for the package and that included a bottle of wine, appetizer, steak dinner for 2 with salad and dessert. The food was great and there was so much of it that we ended up taking some home. The meal was brought to our room although we also had the choice of eating in the restaurant. I would highly recommend the dinner package should you stay at this hotel.

We had a fantastic stay at Stone Mill Inn!! We celebrated our 31st wedding anniversary and took advantage of the Kevin Lunn Spa for a super relaxing 'couples massage', and had a delicious dinner at Johnny Rocco's Italian Grill. Our stay was all (and more) than we hoped it would be. Thank you to the staff for the wonderful gift of a bottle of wine in the room, that was a very nice touch!!

Quirky little hotel in a gorgeous restored stone building. The agent at the front desk was friendly and very helpful. Rooms are well appointed and comfortable but could use a bit of regular maintenance. Only a slight issue because we really enjoyed our stay - so quiet and peaceful.

Hotel is a lovely stone building with magnificent main stairway. Rooms are very nicely appointed beds are comfortable. Main desk is not manned 24hrs, although there is a contact number. Unfortunately there was a party being held in the next door room, with desk not manned I had to complain directly fortunately other occupants were apologetic and it quieted down quickly.

I will start off by saying the hotel is beautiful! The room was perfect. When we checked in the hostess was very nice and pleasant to us and we even got to check in a little early. We paid extra for the fall and winter package which includes a voucher for the restaurant (we had horrible service) at dinner time, a bottle of wine to the room and continental breakfast in your room. The hostess at the front desk said the bottle of wine and breakfast (which you store in the fridge until the morning) would be delivered to our room at some point after check in. Our wine and breakfast never arrived. After 9pm there is no one at the front desk so we had to wait until 9am the next morning to speak with someone. When I called in the morning the woman working the front desk was so awful. She was arguing with me that she personally delivered the wine and breakfast to our room the day before. Told me to check the fridge and the counter. I checked and said that there was no breakfast or wine. She insisted as if I was lying and was so rude and told me to check again as she mentioned again that she personally delivered it to our room herself. I then said “you must have brought it to another room because we did not receive it.” She at this point it still very rude and then says “well I will have another wine and breakfast sent up to your room” as if she is giving me an extra wine and breakfast. She was basically accusing me of stealing!! I was so upset I told her not to bother and hung up the phone. She made me so mad and ruined the whole experience for me and not to mention we were already upset about the horrible service at the restaurant the night before.

I booked the venue for my cultural bridal ceremony and I cannot thank the team enough. Madison was an amazing coordinator and so accommodating to the millions of changes I had before my event. The food was amazing all the guests were so impressed with the buffet. The tea and coffee was a huge hit which is something you wouldn't expect to be great in most venues and parties. Also the people who helped set up and clean up were so sweet and helped so much. I would recommend booking this venue and specifically asking for Madison because she made everything so seamless!! Thank you so much

This hotel did not disappoint! I was looking for a decently priced hotel for one night in the Niagara region that offered a boutique experience and The Stone Mill Inn delivered as promised. I was definitely a high maintenance customer because I had a lot of special requests such as arranging for chocolate covered strawberries to be ready in the fridge, coordinating flowers with their florist to be ready in my room and for the restaurant to coordinate room service with a special lunch for my family as soon as we arrived. Plus I needed early check in at 1pm instead of 3pm because I had a wedding to attend. Lastly, I have a service dog and they were able to make special provisions for us. Gina, the hotel manager did not disappoint- she even went beyond the call and had the room ready at 12pm (an hour early). The room was incredibly spacious and had a lovely private balcony, fireplace and jacuzzi tub. It also had a kitchenette was a small fridge and microwave. Everything was modern and well maintained ( can’t say that about my experience with the vintage hotels that charged me a fortune in comparison) and the robes and touches like the bedding, pillows and accent pillows really completed the boutique experience for us. It’s not on the main drag of hotels because it’s in St Catherine’s but I have done the Niagara on the lake thing where you stay close to the strip and I think you get more bang for your buck here if you have a car. Oh by the way, you don’t have to pay for overnight parking here! The exerior of the hotel is lovely and they do a lot of weddings here! I honestly never do this but I’m gonna give this place five stars because it’s such an amazing experience. Thank you Gina and team, I will definitely come back in the future!💯

I absolutely love the Stone Mill Inn! We were looking for a nice hotel close to our wedding venue (Ball’s Falls) and stumbled upon the Stone Mill Inn. We were very impressed with this boutique hotel’s level of service, beautiful rooms and layout, and price point. We booked about 20 rooms for guests post-wedding and worked with Gina as our coordinator. Gina was absolutely fantastic; I truly cannot say enough about her. She even went as so far as to press my flowers for me as I wasn’t going to be able to get them to a florist before leaving on my mini-moon. We stayed in the loft suite and it was incredibly spacious with a full kitchen (kitchen, microwave, stove), separate living room, and jacuzzi tub. I have had the great fortune of staying at quite a few beautiful vintage hotels and this one is by far my favourite. Although I live close to St. Catharines, I definitely intend on staying here again and I highly recommend that others do the same! – Eryn & Brett

One of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in. Room was amazing, warm and welcoming. Super clean. Staff was very, very courteous. Exceeded my expectations. It's a 5 star plus!!!!! Would definitely stay here again and I highly recommend it. Close to Niagara falls without having to pay the exorbitant prices for Niagara hotels and their damn hotel taxes .👍👍

Showed up here after making a reservation for a quiet room only to find a massive wedding party arriving. Asked the front desk if they were on our floor and he assured us they were at the other end of the hotel. As they flowed into the bar for more drinks, we went upstairs to unpack and relax. Only 15 minutes later, we were surrounded on all sides of our room by wedding guests, who promptly left their doors open and continued partying. Now we're not against weddings and we know they are festive and noisy! But he just lied to us straight up. So we went down and mentioned we were, in fact, NOT at the other end of the wedding guests. He looked at us and announced, "Sorry, no refunds!" Before my wife became unglued, I asked for the manager. He went to the back and in less than a minute returned. Said nothing, just gave us a refund receipt. No apology, no manager to discuss, no concern. So, no go...ever... for us at the hotel. I recommend the same for anyone else. And by the way, the parking lot and entry area is littered with cigarette butts that have been there for a long time. It's clear employees and management don't really care about much here.

Beautiful clean room! Front desk agent (we didnt get his name) was super nice! We had to check out the same night we checked in so the manager gave us a discount on our next booking which was unexpected and very thoughtful! Will definitely be back.

Stayed 2 nights and will definitely be back. The girls at the front desk were wonderful, thank you 😊 Food at Johnny Rocco,s was fantastic!! Wings are great !! So was the pasta. We were lucky to be upgraded & were very happy with our King room, another big Thanks! And the mattress & pillows are a 5🌟too, most comfortable.
