Lovely ambience. Good service. Now the food. Great sashimi. The Otoro was excellent. Very fresh and somewhat generous in portions. However, the sushi rice could be more cooked; it was a little undercooked on the day we were there. The sushi rice could be packed more tightly too. Perhaps, it felt loosely assembled due to the undercooked rice. Avocado and salmon sashimi salad is good. Cooked food is a little hit and miss. Takoyaki has a bit too much dough but in general the taste is nice. Soft shell crab has way too much batter. Left it virtually untouched. Was a little strange to find out that the restaurant does not have sake despite having a sake list. They asked if I would have Umeshu instead. I did as I do like Umeshu. A little pricey for the food quality.

Fish is relatively fresh, but the texture of sushi rice is way too hard for my liking. The plate I ordered here was the Premium Nigiri Set (14pc sushi). Priced at $46, I expected a bit more "premium" of a selection, definitely including more varieties, but was disappointed to see this.

Best Mori Nigiri this time, you guys keep surprising me with new things! Absolutely loved it, so many different variation and flavors! It was delicious! What's with that 1 star review? Very disrespectful towards their restaurant. Ive been eating here for the past 6 months. Idk, maybe he's having a special week of the month. Ive never once received less then the amount served. Love you guys, foods great!

Sushi Mori has a lot of space so it’s a great place to go as a group. The menu is adequate in terms of variety, and the quality of the sushi/sashimi is pretty decent. The price of the menu is on the higher side, but it seems justified with the quality of the food. Main reason why I gave it 4 stars is because my dish, Unagi Don, was $30 but was quite underwhelming in terms of quantity and the composition (see photo). All in all, I would come back here, but would steer clear of the Unagi Don, unless you’re trying to flex.

Without a doubt, the best sushi place in the Yonge-Eglington area. Personally, not a fan of the rice (compared to other places I've eaten at) but it's acceptable. The sushi-grade fish is definitely fresh and the edible golden flakes on the red tuna was a nice touch. The service was a little slow, but honestly, for the quality you pay, it's acceptable. The servers were very attentive so that's a major plus. Overall, if you're wanting a nice bite of sushi in the area, I'd recommend Sushi Mori

I found that our rolls were light on fish, which isn't something I've come to expect from a premium sushi joint. For example, look at the photos of the Philadelphia rolls and you will find much larger portions of avocado and cream cheese over the fish, when a proper Philadelphia roll should have a balance of the three, with any leaning being towards a little more fish (at a premium joint). I will say that the rice used for the rolls and dishes is a premium rice, and the chicken katsu is of high quality. With that said, our $5 sake seemed a bit watered down. The ambiance is nice, the restaurant is beautiful and the service is good. However, when I'm dropping over $100 for a table of two, I expect my rolls to not be lighter on the fish than a good AYCE joint. Same goes with the sake. if I could gives this place 3.5, I would. At the end of the day, I cannot honestly give this place 4 stars when a dinner here can run $20 shy of the most high end sushi joint in the city, without delivering on the things that the best of the best deliver on consistently.

Can’t say enough nice things about this place! Food and customer service were absolutely amazing. Our server Min was incredibly helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. Ordered the sashimi appetizer, takoyaki, soft shell crab, best mori sushi, japanese fish and chips, and matcha cheesecake which were all AMAZING! My favourite would have to be anything with the bluefin tina.

This was the worst dining experience I have ever had in my life. I am not sure if it was just a one off, but it was so awful I had to write this. This was my first time at this restuarant. It was like I was on an episode of the twilight zone. I ordered the Aburi Shime Saba and it did not come out or taste like what I am used to having this dish. When I explained this to my server she informed me that she would go to the back and find out what could have went wrong. She returned saying that the Sushi Chef had left and that she was told that is how they make it there and she understands that it wasn't what I was expecting. She was not sure what to do. I was confused as to why the chef had left and asked if the chef would be back. She went to the kitchen and returned saying yes but didn't know when. At this point my friend and I asked if I could order something else and the server said she did not know and had to talk to her manager. She came back to our table and said no and that I could not order something else. She was very sweet in her delivery though, I have to give her that. We were so confused as to what was happening. Then we asked if we could speak to the manager and she said she would have to find out. Keep in mind the restaurant only had about 3 other tables at the time. Upon her return she said the manager said she was unavailable and not able to speak to us. Unbelievable. We were shocked. What kind of customer service is this? Horrible. At this point we were both ready to leave so we asked for our bill, in which I was charged for the dish that I didn't eat. I asked about it and the server said that her manager said that she would make the server pay for that dish. In my experience of dining at restaurants when something like this occurs, I have witnessed with others, it being comped and the patron would not charged. I have also worked at a restaurant and know that this is common practice when this happens to not charge the customer. That the manager has the audacity to make it come out of the servers pay is ridiculous and terrible leadership. I am so disappointed in this restaurant and hope that this isn't how they operate. I would never return to this establishment. I would also recommend that you don't as well.

I went here yesterday September 04 Sunday, and the lady who served us was really annoying. We tried to order another drinks and she ignored us more than 6 times . She just eye rolled down every single time when she passed us. Food was good but the server's service was worst in toronto.

Fish is good and fresh. I think it's overpriced though so -1 star. Menu is on average 40 and up. If you want to have really good sushi I recommend it. The service is mediocre. Just come here for sushi and sashimi. Place is cozy hidden gem. Yonge and Eglinton is chaotic but this could be your sushi escape.

This place is uniquely decorated, which makes it an interesting atmosphere to sit and enjoy a good bite. The service was a little slow but not a deal breaker. The food was great, loved all the rolls that we ordered, the salad was decent, miso soup was pretty standard which I like and the tempura was large and crispy. Although a little pricey, I'll most likely go back.

Lovely place. Great service and delicious food. We ordered a bunch of stuff and each dish was better than the earlier. The soft shell crab and dynamite roll were my favourite. Go for fresh and delicious sushi.

I ordered SEAFOOD champong and 2 salmon donbri. There was like none of seafoods in champong only vegitables in it. Salmon was the worst. Salmon was not freash at all even its a raw fish. It stinks, smell like bleach which the chemical that you wash the dishes and floor. Also, like 6 pieces of Salmon with rice cost over 24 dollar that doesnt even make sense at all. I paied over 85 dollar for this garbages. I wont come here ever again.

Pretty good food, a bit pricey for what you get however. The atmosphere is nice and it has a lot of space. Not a bad place to hang out and drink.

Was excited to try this restaurant because they have Korean foods as well. But portions of foods were so small despite they charged them almost 20$ a dish. Taste was just ok. Also never seen any Korean restaurant charges extra for kimchi as side dish even though we ordered korean dishes.

The interior is quite big so it's a nice spot for a group of people. It has a nice aesthetic and atmosphere. The sushi was really good and their Korean food is excellent, plus they have a nice selection of drinks and friendly service

First they made a mistake with our order which is ok. After they did that the waitress came and told us and said "there was a mistake you got the wrong roll" and got us the right none. We had a few piece of it at the time but she came to still wanted to take it away from us even though it was their mistake. She asked if she can leave it i said sure but then she said thanks as she is still going to charge us for it which she did (not like she could have took the half roll and gave it to the correct table). Anyways that's my fault to a degree. Next at the end as soon as we finished our last roll she came running to us and didn't ask if we need a bill but just straight up and said "bill together" as if she was kicking us out. Came gave us the bill I paid and tipped. As soon as we paid she took some of the dirty plates "not all of them" but she also took our water as well that we were still drinking, again kicking us out. So we sat for a bit with no water and a few dirty plates.

Amazing service ! Our waitress was so kind and understanding. She was very attentive and caring. The food was good. Portions aren’t big but they’re okay. The restaurant itself was beautiful. Would definitely go back !

Small menu and expensive. Taste is good, although was not a huge fan of the beef special rolls. Some may love it but I wish the beef was more seasoned. Great decor and ambiance.

Delicious and beautifully presented food. I loved the artificial cherry blossoms woven through the ceiling beams and bamboo (?) potted plants everywhere. Be aware that the online menu is not exactly the same as the in-restaurant menu (several dishes were listed as having 8 pcs, for example, but only ended up having 6 pcs when we ordered). For those looking for an upscale romantic atmosphere: Also be aware that despite the upscale feel of the website menu, this leans toward more a bar interior, especially with the big screens with sports playing, fast-food type small/thin paper napkins. Fine if it's what you're expecting, of course! The website photos, however, gave the impression of much more upscale atmosphere. Maybe it would help if the site included more of the restaurant, including the sports tv screens? But again....the food is fantastic. I would come back again for the food for a casual night with friends, but not for a special anniversary dinner.

Flavour for sushi at this place was quite good, however the prices at this place is a bit much. It was $15 for six pieces of spicy sushi. There was also something rock hard in the sushi that unfortunately was inedible.

Great spot for food and drinks. Location makes it a bit pricy depending how much you can eat and drink, but the staff and atmosphere are fantastic!

The ambience is lovely, they’ve got fake trees and soft lights. There’s not a lot of vegetarian options here- we had the avocado roll and the yam roll. Really good!! The rice was soft and well seasoned. The yam was fried and added a nice bit of crunch to the bite. The veggie gyoza was good too, although it was fried. I would have expected it to be steamed. Took a star off because the takeaway box they gave us was styrofoam and not recyclable.

This place is adorable inside and so extremely good! We’ve had take out and dine in and it’s consistently some of the best sushi in the city. You can find decent sushi much cheaper than this, but their stuff is worth every dollar.
