What a beautiful location. We stopped here on the way back from Harefield Hospital and it was worth it. We did not eat but the menu looked godd and alot of the patrons were having food and it looked good. If your passing it is well worth a look.

So our server was Elliot and he was absolutely delightful. The food was lovely as the service so it was well worth the visit. If you want to come on a Sunday always book in advance. Other than that don’t forget to download the vintage inn app and sign up at least 2 days before you visit to get some great savings. The first one is £20 off if you spend £40 and includes drinks so defo worth the effort.

A lovely nature setting for this pub with river garden, we had booked lunch today (Mother's Day) here and it was a nice experience. There was a special set menu for the day, from which we chose our dishes. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced. Waiting staff was friendly and helpful. Nice interior decor, too. We'll return!

Roomy, good friendly service and nice food. Good range of draft beer. Nice toilets and furnishings. Music was annoying.

Quality, delicious food! Abit on the pricey side though. Very kind and helpful staff! We ate outside in the garden and it was lovely. Watched canal boats go by.

A lovely meal as usual. Koftas were very tasty, we had sea bass and steak pie today which didn't disappoint either. Elliot gave us great service and wasvery friendly. Love that we have such a fabulous pub on our doorstep. See you again soon.

The venue has plenty of parking and is beautiful inside. The staff were extremely attentive but patient with us - we tend to chat a bit. The menu was varied and inventive, and the food was delicious - we each had something different and everyone loved what they had. The prices were reasonable. One of our party had not been before and said she would be recommending it. Thank you.

What a change! The last time I came here it was a shambles. Dirty, tired & the staff lacking. I entered this place with trepidation thinking, at best it would be acceptable, well how wrong was I. The food was good, hot & well presented. The service is excellent & professional. The beer selection on the ale side is limited to two, Doombar & London Pride. I will bear this place in mind for future use.

We went for a birthday lunch it was a nice meal we had a chicken pie which had lots of chicken but no mushroom and sea bass was nice with a nice amount of vegetables. I however, had a starter of 3 kabab sauages they were very processed and dry and a side of mac & cheese that was very dry I had to send it back, it was ok when I got it back but it was too small for a side. I think the food is expensive for what we got. The service was good and the staff really friendly and helpful

Came after a recommendation from friends and have really enjoyed it. The food is very generous in size and good value for money! Staff are lovely and very attentive too. Will definitely be coming back again

The food really stood out as the shining star of the experience. There was silence on a table of more than ten when it came out and everyone started scoffing. Could have chosen quite a few of the options from the extensive menu, but not so large that you worried that they couldn't possibly do all the things on the menu well. The kids meals were great value for money and each ate everything. My only gripe is that the service was slow, a bit haphazard, a starter got forgotten for the kids and came after the main. So that was a little disappointing. Otherwise I really recommend this place!

A decent dining pub, in a good location and with many garden tables. Although very quiet when we visited midweek for a late lunch, and the food was excellently prepared and presented... the approach to service was a bit old-fashioned with customers having to go to the bar for everything (despite staff outnumbering customers), and no genuine table service offered - except for the delivery of your bar-ordered food. I suppose that keeps staff overhead to a minimum, and maintains the pub-with-food illusion. It didn't stop us enjoying a very good lunch though, and the staff were friendly and welcoming.

Elliot was a great server today. We enjoyed all the food and the portion sizes were good (would have liked the mini crème brûlée to be a little bigger though!) We will definitely be back

Best food, environment and service in the area. And it was raining. I will definitely be back on a sunny day. The aubergine parmigiana was delicious and Elliot was very helpful.

Awesome cosy venue set on the bank of a calm canal. Apart from the incredible food, they welcomed our little doggie inside, as it was pelting down with rain, in what would have been the pet friendly area. I was surprised at the size of some of the other doggies who were welcomed in too. Some only just managed to stand under the table with little space left. All were well behaved. Service was amazing. Very friendly and helpful. I realised later that I might have been there around 17 years ago and must admit that as cosy as it was back then, the upkeep and renovations have kept the environment just as warm and welcoming. I will be back soon. Need more photos when it is not pouring...

By far our favourite in this part of London. Love the layout and well spaced out tables. The servers are always attentive and the food is lovely. Jesse is a great and efficient server..... Quick to respond. Has a good understanding of the menu and always paying attention to the guests.

Lovely place... Doggy friendly inside too. Great sittings outside. Peaceful and surrounded by nature. Very cosy interior decor and vast selection of food and drinks. Sunday roast presented very well but meat not cooked perfectly unfortunately - chicken was too dry and beef/pork chewy and not soft enough. Parsnips quite hard, other veggies nice. Desserts great! Coffee very nice.

We have been looking forward to coming to Harefield and visiting the Coy Carp for weeks and weeks. We arrived here on our boats today and after buying four rounds of drinks, were fairly bluntly told to drink up at about half past ten "because it wasn't busy enough to justify the wages". The floor could have done with cleaning and the fire had died hours ago already but staff were just hanging around waiting for us to leave. Next time we'll just buy our own and sit on the boat. A shame because the chef, who I met in the afternoon, had already convinced me to try the sea bass, but now I won't bother.

Went to grab a drink the other night and really, no complaints. I cant vouch for the food as we didn't have any, However, don't be brought down by the overall rating. Staff was very pleasant and they have a good selection on tap and other drinks.

Lovely country pub, great location on the Grand Union canal. Warm welcome, good service, great menu and plenty of choice for adults and children alike. Freshly cooked meals, pizza was great although would have liked some kind of garnish with my Fish Finger wrap! Lovely place to stop and refresh after a walk along the canal

This place is amazing. Located in nice area at the canal. The food is very tasty and menu offers a lot of interesting choices. The decor inside is stunning. Very spacious garden and quick friendly service. Highly recommended!

Excellent location, superbly done interiors and a great set of folks. Surprised at the ratings - if the old pub ratings are still reflected there is a way to fix them by writing to google. We had a super Sunday Roast - really nicely done. Just the right amount of roast veggies etc so zero wastage. Will be back.
