Found this pub to pass some time while most of the family did a trip to Harry Potter experience. This is quite a large pub with a good car park that does food. The place was clean and tidy and the decor was good. The ladies serving behind the bar were great and really friendly and it appeared to be a place that the locals love as many were spoken to by name, but they made us outsiders very welcome. I always think having owners or staff like this is makes the experience so much better. They had a good menu but as we were just waiting we only had snacks of the menu but they were really well cooked and came quite quickly.

I've lived locally for 41 years, and this is now my go to pub. It's vastly improved in the last few years, and food, service and atmosphere are great. If you like nachos, I can't recommend theirs highly enough. They deep fry the tortillas, so they're lighter, crisper and have a much cleaner flavour than the typical Doritos style ones most places serve. (Zoom in on the bottom right of the pic). The only thing stopping me from giving 5 stars was a recent incident where we were waiting on drinks 15mins or so after food arrived. Asked at the bar, and were told that they were short staffed with only one person serving. Given that it wasn't too busy, and we only ordered a bottle and a pint, it shouldn't have been an issue, but it's understandable that things get delayed or forgotten at times.

This pub has a great atmosphere with some lovely food! The Sunday roast that they serve here is really tasty and delicious. The drinks are pretty reasonable in price and the staff members are very professional and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place for the family

Lovely food and great team working. Went for our anniversary dinner and the staff couldn't have been more friendly. The decorations is such a good idea of useing old alcohol bottles and creates a lovely atmosphere. Definitely recommend.

Terrible experience! We were the first people to arrive and to order lunch. The food took 80 minutes to arrive. we ordered one stake (medium) one hunters chicken and two kinds meals. Stake was well done and chips were cold. 3 meals arrived, then another 10 minutes until the last kids meal arrived. We asked the staff who were working how much longer it might be as we had to be somewhere at 2pm, which was a 10 minute drive from the pub we thought that 1 hour 50 minute was more then enough time to order and eat 2 adult meals and 2 small kids meals and potentially dessert and to eat them and enjoy them . Sadly the staff never checked and we then had to eat our food as quick as possible to make it in time.

Nice open and spacious, foods good, regular events. Lots of outdoor seating although heaters haven't worked for quite a while. Car park, wifi, quiz night, live music once a month.

Haven't been here for a few years due to moving away but came back to the area for the weekend and some celebrations with family. I must say this pub has changed a lot over the years but it has a friendlier atmosphere and better food than its ever had.

This is a lovely pub with very good food and a good variety of drinks. The staff are very friendly and helpful. If you're in the area, I recommend you give this place a try.

Clean and tidy, friendly atmosphere, went for quick meal before The Vue film. Service slow, but helpful staff, food hot and rosemary & thyme chips delicious. Would go back and tell friends nice little pop in for lunch

Great little pub we found whilst driving. Didn't need to book a table which was great as we were both hungry. The food was very nice and came out hot. The pub was very clean and tidy and the staff very pleasant, polite and friendly. Would recommend if in the area.

Decent menu but sadly Buffalo Cauflower spicy has been removed. Buffalo chicken is OK but compared to Ember Inns Buffalo wings, Swans are very average. Friendly people, excellent staff. Def3worth a visit.

Good food but poor service. Not enough staff in. A chef left due to an emergency but not enough staff to cover. Order through the app but apparantly the kitchen was closed. Decided to get our puddings as a favour eventhough had already paid. Extremely rude staff, such a shame as the food is very good

My wife and i had a Sunday roast today. It was amazing. The food was hot and every element was great. The stuffing, meat, roast potatoes, veg and even a cauliflower cheese that i loved and then ate my wife's. Yorkshire was delicious. Service was brilliant. Good atmosphere and great pub. Loved it. You know it's good when every mouthful is followed by a wow. Good size too. Highly recommended.

Essy to book a table online if you plan to eat. Good food for a pub and reasonably prices with a good selection to choose from. Staff are very polite and are a credit to pub chain . Had a nice sunday roast. See photo attached.

We had my daughter's wake at The Swan on the 12th August 2022 and the service we received on the day from Jo the Assistant Manageress was absolutely first class. I cannot praise her enough for her kindness and empathy for the sad occasion. She went above and beyond for the whole day , to the area we were given and arranged to display a large collage of photos of my daughter and place individual photos in the area as well. And although obviously very busy (it was a Friday) she constantly found the time to keep asking if there was anything I/we needed etc. Thank you so much Jo. You are a credit to Greene King and I hope they appreciate you! 5 ***** The food and service was fantastic too, with a selection of hot and cold finger buffet. The only reason I didn't give 4 stars in my rating was because I did call on several occasions before the funeral/wake - all at non busy times and every single time my call was not answered and went onto an answerphone. Further to this not a single return call was made as a result of the messages left so I visited the pub in person. Otherwise, highly recommended!

We had one beef and one turkey roast dinner, it was fine but the portion sizes regarding vegetables were pathetic. One broccoli stem, the equivalent of half a carrot chopped into as many pieces as possible and a tiny cauliflower stem which would fill a teaspoon!!!! Come on, really, why serve such portions unless to a toddler. It was such a joke, we complained to the waitress and she brought out a plate of proper portions of veg and potatoes to us hence why I gave 3 stars and not 1. Well done to the management for dealing with this issue professionally and quickly.

I came here with my 12 yr old daughter for lunch before Harry Potter. I wasn't sure what to expect as the prices seemed more reasonable than some of the other near by options, however I was pleasantly surprised. My daughter was immediately impressed by the music - Taylor Swift, Avril Lavigne, One Direction - teen pop! Food was of good quality and nice price. The staff were friendly and helpful. My one criticism were the men's toilets - a bit smelly. Otherwise a great place to hang just before visiting Harry Potter.

I really enjoy the Thursday quiz with Kurtis. I don’t usually come to the swan but the quiz means I am a regular. Such a fun night with a great atmosphere.

Been many times. Came today with sister and not disappointed. Food, Fish and chips PERFECT. REALLY ENJOY IT THERE, GREAT PRICES AND GOID PLACE TO HAVE CATCH UP WITH FAMILY. AM GOING AGAIN ON SATURDAY WITH OTHER SISTER. THANKYOU

Road trip from the South West. Was planning on stopping here for food. Used the facilities and they weren't the best. Not checked at all that day according to the sheet on the door (13:30 on a Sunday) the tap was broken & there was no soap in the dispenser. It was really busy (which is a good sign) football was on and we couldn't get a table so had to find somewhere else.

Held our Dad’s wake there today. Super friendly staff, huge amount of food for the buffet. Great value for money. Excellent service all round. Would recommend and although not our local, will definitely return.

Great mixed grill for the money, loved the seniors menu which meant there wasn't a load of food left over. Very friendly staff and quick service. Beer selection was good too.
