Went here for Valentines dinner as we've heard good things about Miller & Carter. We were extra disappointed with the overall experience, from entry to leaving. Made to wait on the side for 20 minutes with no waiting area, then placed at the table next to the toilets. No one approached us for 30 minutes to take our order, with one lady so occupied handling a whole section by herself (not her fault). Do not know why so many staff walked around pointlessly getting nothing done. Finally ordered our drinks (probably the best thing we tasted there) and starters took 30 minutes to come. Mains took another 30 to come so probably an hour after ordering. The steak was the most HORRIBLE steak I have ever eaten in my life. Texture was bad and couldn't even eat a good portion of it. They even forgot to bring the salad, which was not even really salad but just unwashed cut of lettuce that wasn't even broken down or tossed. Getting the bill was also a nightmare, taking at least 35 minutes to pay and get out of that nightmare. I cannot type all the bad things but I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Spent 3 hours there because of such poor slow service!

We were served by Tony and he was great. Really attentive, engaging but without over doing it. Great guy! And the food was amazing as always.

We had a really nice dinner. The Sirloin steak was perfect. Everything was delicious. Thank you for the good customer service!

Enjoyed our visit here. Inside is tastefully decorated & furnished. Wine menu has a good selection at a reasonable price. Our meals were very tasty, side portions were on the small side (the paper makes it look like there's more chips in the cup than there actually is) and had to ask for more fries and was disappointed to be charged for them. Would done here again as the staff are great and the outside setting is relaxing.

Amazing service by Fabio, Food was spot on and served in good time frame, Restaurant clean and presented well, Was lucky to sit by river view that flows under building. Very nice meal out.

We were greeted by a friendly lady and seated straightaway, we ordered our drinks and our waitress Shannon took our food order, we all ordered the sweet chipole chicken bites which were lovely, you should bottle and sell the sweet chilli jam that came with it. We then ordered a filet mignon and 2 of us had the black angus rump and asked for it medium well, when we received it the steak was more medium rare so asked for it to be cooked more, they happily obliged. It came back perfect and it was great to see they redressed the plate as well so it was all fresh. The steak was amazing, its now my favourite steak to have. Overall the night was great, lots of food as the portion size was big, we left a little note for out waitress Shannon who was amazing asking her to buy a drink for the chef who recooked our steaks and of course left her the money to do so. Your staff are wonderful and if in the area again will definately come back.

We went there several times. The service is always very competent and friendly. Restaurant with nice ambiance. I liked the view on the river passing under the restaurant. Very good food and a good range of wines. Will certainly not be the last time we had lunch there.

Have been to a number of M & C, they never disappoint. Rickmansworth restaurant equally great, we a team meal out, for first time in 2 years, lovely food and the service was excellent.

Had our Xmas lunch here. Granted it was a lot of us (around 80 people), the staff tried their best to cater to everyone therefore service was a bit slow due to the restaurant being really busy already. The kitchen was a bit overwhelmed but managed to serve delicious food when they could. Overall I had a nice time as the atmosphere was great. Would recommend visiting 😊

First time going to Miller and Carter and service by Shannon was great! She was lovely and polite, and kept checking on us seeing if we were okay. Lovely sweet girl. Atmosphere was great if you want somewhere quiet and not the typical restaurant loud background noise. Food was great sea bass was lovely and tender. The chicken was lovely and succulent. Overall I would recommend and would go again.

Visited over weekend for birthday meal. Food was fantastic we ordered filet steaks and lamb rump was the most juicy and tender meat I ever had. Thank you for the experience. Our server Was Ewa

I was out with my wife for her birthday and we were overall very impressed. Seated in a nice location we were given space and time - something that can sometimes interrupt the occasion of an evening out. Our waiter Katrina was polite, professional and ensured we had everything we needed without rushing us or being invasive. Lovely food cooked exactly as ordered and great service. Highly recommend and keep an eye for Katrina - she knows the score!

Our first visit, wonderful evening, the food was delicious! Lovely atmosphere in the conservatory area , The service was superb from Shivan , with his advice we had the lobster tails.. as addition , he manner was a delight all evening, he gave us no rush to leave Thanks Shivan and crew , not forgetting front of House ! Last night we went for a meal as an out of the blue treat for my partner and I. From the start you could tell that the restaurant was busier than expected and that they were slightly understaffed. This was understandable considering the weather and apparently a large party that had booked had turned up with double the number. We weren’t particularly in a rush and so we’re not bothered about a slightly longer wait. We both ordered the 12oz Sirloin, with the signature sides, onion loaf, lettuce wedge and peppercorn sauce. I have attached pictures but when the plates arrived we were very disappointed. The onion loaf is clearly underdone (my guess is the kitchen was trying to rush food out) and the amount of peppercorn sauce was slightly laughable! (About a mm of sauce in the pot that’s provided). Overall, we don’t normally complain and can understand staff being stretched but when the bill comes to £82 you expect the food to be of a good standard. Very disappointed but I think it may have been down to the circumstances mentioned.

Last time I dine here was in 2020 and I said to myself I wouldn’t return but was my in law birthday so ok let’s do it. Awful experience. The gentleman at the door was very polite and friendly. Food was tasty but not hot enough. I was dining with my jacket on was too cold inside. We approached the waitress saying that was cold and if there was any windows open and she said no, it’s not cold. My drink tasted like water. Music turn off at 9.40 and I was still eating my main course - rushing people off probably. Definitely understaffed. Lovely place and tasty food but won’t come back again.

Food was delicious. Adequate parking space for over 30 cars. Ambience was okay, not moody, not dark, not bright. Our waiter was Tony and his service was amazing. It was late at night so I didn’t get to look around the external seating areas.

I have been to Miller&Carter on two separate occasions in the last 2 months. Both for birthday celebration (My daughters 3rd birthday and my partners 38th birthday). On both occasions we were served by Becks who was very friendly and attentive nothing was ever an issue. I would highly recommend dining here as the food and definitely the service was worth it! Thank you Becks!

Food was on point! Absolutely mouthwatering. Amazing. Service was brilliant, cleanliness spot on, seating area in the glass dome was beautiful, airy and very well ventilated. The only slight disappointment was two of our guests wanted the sirloin on the bone and unfortunately one was only available. The alternative steak was also very good just not what one of the guests wanted. However this is no fault of anyones!

An amazing experience at Miller & Carter Rickmansworth on Sunday afternoon. Decided an impromptu lunch out for a change and decided to book here, we were not disappointed. We were greeted warmly by the front of house team and shown to our table promptly by our server, Diana. She was a superstar! Nothing was too much trouble, took our drinks order whilst we studied the Sunday Lunch Menu. Our drinks arrived (I had a Strawberry Twist, designated driver, and it was fabulous, very refreshing and full of flavour) and we were ready to order. Starters- we had prawn and crab cocktail which was lovely, not too much so had room for our mains. Decided on the Fillet Steak, medium rare, and it was delicious. We also had a side order of garlic button mushrooms which were great too. Dessert was Creme Brûlée which came with 2 homemade biscuits along with a fresh strawberry and blueberries on top. It was lovely, nice way to end our meal. The whole environment was amazing, nice cool air conditioning, gentle easy listening music playing in the background and a gentle humming of people talking at their tables. No fighting to be heard over the music or listening to other peoples conversations, it was a really pleasant afternoon. I would certainly recommend and hope to visit again soon.
