Best burger I have eaten in a long time. Coffee was very good. Brownie dessert was delicious. Service was quick and friendly from what appeared to be only 1 guy working the tables. Very impressive. Very pleased we booked this place for our work Xmas lunch!

A good site and the car park is big but bumpy! The building is lovely. As are the staff. Friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and hot.

What a lovely cosy pub. Nice little bar as you enter the restaurant/pub. We were asked if we wanted to eat restaurant side or bar side, we were taken to our table, two big cosy chairs and right next to a roaring fire, soo romantic for our early valentine's dinner. A lovely setting. As I have dietary requirements, the women was really helpful and helped me though the menu. Food was delicious and came out nice and quickly. All staff were so friendly, we had a lovely dining experience. To top off the night I ordered a non alcoholic cocktail, oh it was amazing.

Service was good. A reasonable choice of lager. Cannot comment on beer. I'm a bit fussy about red wine and would have liked a glass of Cotes DU Rhone . Menu had a suitable range although I would have preferred to see the addition of steak fillet. Overall a nice atmosphere in a good setting and an enjoyable time by all

With the demise of so many local pubs over the years it is a blessing to still have a decent pub in this tranquil, historical conservation setting. Excellent service and attention. Gregarious staff and landlord. Well mannered, friendly and hospitable with a relaxed atmosphere. Not a pub for rowdy Morons. Friendly pub all round.

Ample parking available. Loved the ambience. The lady who served us was lovely. She was happy to recommend the wine and food. We will definitely make our way back.

Very friendly service, very relaxed setting. Lovely outside seating areas, especially on sunny days. Food was lovely.

We went for a cup of hot chocolate and pudding yesterday. We had a table at the bar area next to the fireplace and had a lovely time. The pub currently offers that you can pay forward for drinks at food which is a lovely idea. Information can be found at the bar. Hot chocolate came without cream on top. I am not sure if you would need to ask or if that is not offered but the drink and desserts were nice. We had the creme brule and brownie. The pub also offers plenty of parking.

Really nice pub with a good menu. We were a party of 6 plus one baby. The staff could not have been more helpful and our waiter was outstanding. The food was excellent well presented with good sized portions. Will definitely be returning in the future

You can tell that these guys really care. In my mind caring is the secret sauce that makes a venue special. This was a lunch with my family on Easter Saturday. The staff are really friendly and go the extra mile to ensure you have a great experience. You can also tell that the chef cares about the food they are putting out starting with a great menu which I was excited to try. What was delivered was a tasty meal at fantastic value for money. Lovely cozy warm pub. Lovely ambience. First time Going there with my partner. We had two duo of lamb …it was amazing! With all that’s going on in the world , you can still get a high quality pub meal, great value for money and good customer service!! Lars was brilliant !!! Only criticism is that you put some lighting in the car park to show people there is people inside!! Amazing otherwise 🤗🤗🤗

Lovely cosy pub, good outdoor seating. Lovely sunny day so we sat outside. Friendly staff. Food was nothing special, we had salt and pepper squid which was lacking both a bit of salt and pepper. Duck & Orange parfait was pretty decent and we shared the Sunday Trio which was also ok. Overall a decent experience.

Never miss this lovely pub if you ever visit Rickmansworth. especially if you are here for a Sunday roast. Cosy pub and friendly staff. Ample parking and a huge beer 🍺 garden as well. Lovely place to spend time during summer.

We are from Australia and have been travelling within UK and Europe for 12 weeks and stopped at this Traditional English Pub during a day out sightseeing. We have been largely disappointed with the food on our trip until we got back to the UK and today's lunch was absolutely a standout, delicious meal. Generous serves, great prompt service and beautifully presented premises. I had Chicken and vegetable curry and my partner had pie of the day ( pictured). We both had Sticky toffee pudding and icecream for dessert. Superb meal, just what we have been hoping for for many weeks. Thank you so much, thoroughly enjoyed it 😊

We had a family Christmas dinner here. The food was terrible, cauliflower cheese and carrots served with my pie were hard. The meat in the pie was tough as old boots. The prawn cocktail starter was also served with salmon which should have been better with just the prawns. They also charged a £50 tip. I will not be coming back here sorry.

Wow what a great find Ona Tuesday night. So tonight is date night and thankfully we found a lovely pub which was absolutely lovely. Our hosts Bobbie and Rachel were amazing and our short beef rib and pork belly was fantastic. They had a great selection of drinks and more than that the vibe was amazing. I can happily recommend this as a dog friendly pub.

From the moment you arrive, you are greeted by friendly staff that make you feel welcome. The menu is an absolute delight and the range of drinks is superb. We were seated and drinks arrived promptly then we were served by a lovely lady called Sheila and she was both friendly and efficient. The food arrived very quickly and took us by surprise as.we were chatting about how nice the building is and it did not disappoint. The seared sea bass with a pea and bacon veloute and spring onion mash was a gastronomic delight and my wife's beef and red wine pie of the day was equally well received. This was our first time here in over 10 years, and I can thoroughly recommend it based on today's meal. It was absolutely superb in every respect, and we will definitely be back soon to try some more of the lovely fare on offer. Keep up the great work. You have a winning formula.

First time visit. Very cosy pub. We ordered two starters each for four people, along with mini dessert, including hot drinks. Food very tasty. Staff were polite and accommodating towards our needs and had a chuckle at our order. It's quite different for me but enjoyable. There are plenty of car parking spaces. Would definitely go again and recommend a visit.

Totally delicious lunch! Restaurant was very busy with festive groups but this did not impact on the service provided. Lovely staff who were attentive, friendly and professional. We ate from the festive menu and the food was excellent. My friend said it was the best pork belly she had ever had in a restaurant and my turkey was full of flavour and cooked to perfection. Highly recommended.

Just enjoyed a fabulous Sunday roast in this delightful pub. Beef was superb, so tender and juicy. Accompaniments were equally as good and very generous portions. We were served by Ellie who made our dining experience even more enjoyable by her friendly and professional service. She was particularly helpful with one our group who had specific dietary needs and served us with a smile throughout!

Went back after a long time. Food was good. I had the calamari to start followed by fish and chips. Nothing to rave about just good. Great location and you get that warm and relaxed atmosphere when you go in. Plenty of parking space. What stood out was the customer service. Staff were absolutely brilliant.

First time visit and wow! Food was amazing. Great choices on the menu which made it hard what to choose, so a great excuse to go back. Food was piping hot when brought to the table. Totally recommend the pork belly for mains and the banoffee pie for dessert. Yummy!!! Staff were great. Micheal, our server was fab. He went above and beyond to make our evening very enjoyable. We even booked for Christmas before we left as we were that impressed.

Went for food and drinks on a hot weekend. Great place, in a nice location. Food portions are big, drinks range is great and average prices for a local pub. The outside seating area is plentiful and ideal on a nice day. Would definitely return.

Booked a table for 18:30 to have a roast dinner. We don't normally have a roast dinner out but we will be coming here again. Great friendly and fast service and by far the best roast we have had at a restaurant. Could not fault any part of it. I had the trio of roasts and the meat was cooked to perfection and good portion sizes. Highly recommended.

Lovely pub and location, staff friendly and hygiene very good. Food was good. Slightly disappointed with vegetarian options. The one vegan in our group had soup, but not given butter alternative. Seems very mean! Flora?!! Tiny tiny thing, but would have made a massive difference. London Pride was good here. Please make some tiny changes and it could be perfect for all......
