Good place for adventure , at peechi there a new cycling program 300rs per head , u should pre book. At the entrance there will be a checking. People who have booked can enter.

The dense tropical forests of Chimmini (Chimmony) are home to a plethora of rare flora and fauna. This gem is situated in the Mukundapuram Taluk of Thrissur district. The dam provides a picturesque picnic location and is frequented by locals and foreigners alike. Setup in 1984, the Chimmini Wildlife Sanctuary lies contiguous with the Peechi-Vazhani Sanctuary. Visitors can view elephants, sambars, gaurs, Malabar squirrels and sloth bears strolling about. The Forest Department regularly conducts trekking and bamboo rafting programs in and around the area.

It is a very calm and quiet place for enjoy a day with family and friends. Must carry some food because there is not much hotels or restaurants for getting good foods(*except some street food and ice-cream). Good place for walking and exploring the forest. It was a very nice moments with my friends.

Scenic spot.. well maintained park.. beautiful construction of dam...easy to reach.. good to go even in a hot climate.. shadey trees.. rockgarden is also there.. swimming pool is also available.. rest rooms are well maintained..

Good for a short visit, earth dam -cool to see if you are natural lover. Got small kids park but not well maintained ☺

You can enjoy a half day trip to Vazhani dam is you are in and around Thrissur. The dam and reservoir are not too big but is worth watching. A reasonably good garden is well maintained near the dam. There is a moderate entrance fee for visitors and cameras. Luckily they have maintained the toilets well. A food court is also available inside.
