There are many veg restaurants in Thrissur. But what makes Kalpathi stand out is perhaps its simplicity and quality. A small restaurant nestled in the shade of an old banyan tree and facing a temple, the name of the restaurant perfectly matches with the ambience. The menu is also tribute to typical south Indian cuisine. But that doesn't mean they innovate! Pizaa Uthappam (see picture), an invention of Kalpathi is a perfect mix of tradition and Modern. It elegantly sums up the changes in dining habits of the area over the past decade or so. If you are in Thrissur, visit Kalpathi and experience one of these and I assure you that you won't be disappointed. Five stars for Food, Staff and Ambience!

Mouth watering veg stuff here. Very neat & clean restaurant in the heart of the town. It's just 100mtrs from the round. I choose this one whenever I come to town

Two days i had meals from this restaurent.. it's a pure and small vegetarian hotel.. taste wise it's good and recommendable.. they provide with matta and ponni rice.. highlight is the 'ulli sambar', which is excellent.. As i told earlier, it's a small restaurant and hence seating arrangements is little bit crowded.. overall, it's good but certainly not a family restaurant to have enjoyment..

Twice I had breakfast from Kalpathi, Crispy MasalaDosa & next day Mini Break fast... Both were too good, courteous staff ... I strongly recommend all Thrissurians to visit this hotel and experience the taste of Kalpathi.... All the best

Their Chappathi Set has to be famous as it is a healthier choice as advertised in their hotel as well as tasty. This hotel is a good choice for Luncheon if you are out in Thrissur. All 4 star is for quality of food, their infrastructure, washroom, washing has to be improved, but the same can be negotiable considering the fact that the hotel is located in a less crowded place.

After a long time had good ghee roast with ghee and superb sambar...chutney to be improved....very nice service and hospitality....

Very high price, poor service.. A ghee roast is Rs. 70..exhorbantly high price for a non AC restaurant of its kind..
