Stayed at the hotel end of last year. The stay was very good and pleasant however the service was average as the reception didn't acknowledge my gold Accor status as I questioned about where my welcomes drink vouchers were. However beside this point, it has been more than one month since my stay and I still have not been awarded my Accors points for my membership, I have sent and email and no one has replied. Can you please reply ASAP

Spacious room and great facilities. Separate bath, toilet and shower. The location is good, walking distance to Tianhe shopping mall, the book center etc.

I never write reviews but , this hotel is absolutely the BEST hotel I've ever stayed at! I mean what can I say from the moment I stepped in the hotel , the staff was very friendly and very helpful . It was my first time staying at the Sofitel Guangzhou so they upgraded my room. The room was beautiful and immaculate. I didnt bring a swimming cap so I didnt end up swimming but the indoor pool looked amazing! I did how ever play table tennis. Yes table tennis ! In a room with high ceilings and good lighting. There was no one around at the time ( around 10 p.m) so an hotel staff offered to play with me and she was really good! In the morning I really wanted to try breakfast buffet becuase of the amazing smell , but had to opt out because I had to attend a meeting. At the end of my stay the hotel had a coincidental mistake and lost our luggage but it was not their fault. My girlfriend and I were headed the Guangzhou south high speed train station. And while we were in the bathroom , a couple who wore about the same color clothing as us and heading to same destination , took out cab and luggage along with it. What a coincidence! But this in my eyes is where the hotel shines the most. Nolan He , the concierge supervisor was very helpful and immediately called the hotel car for us and got in contact with the cab who took our luggage . We met the cab driver at the train station and all was good. It doesnt end here though. Nolan brought in the train station carrying our luggage and took us to the ticketing booth and also waited for us to enter the train which was very helpful because my girlfriend and I are not very fluent in chinese . This took over an hour of Nolon's time ! Very grateful for his help and service. In all , Sotifel has all the amenities a top 5 star hotel should have but their hospitality and service is absolutely bar none. Dare to say the "best in the world"?

Modern, classy and chic. One of the nicer Sofitel hotels that I've stayed over the years. The highlight for me was the room's bath tub, where bath salts were provided for guests to enjoy a nice soak, perfect after a long business work day.

Not worth price paid. I arrived late in the evening and waited nearly 30 minutes for them to clear and verify booking via Agoda. They said they had not received confirmation of booking and had to wait until they received booking confirmation which is fine but instead of following up on it and checking they did not done so and made me contact Agoda to get Agoda contact them. Check in process was horrible. Restaurant on first floor served fried noodles with beef. The beef did not seem like real beef. 5 star price for fried noodles with beef for 2 star beef noodles. The meat was chewy and horrible. Was nor worth $220 per night. This is about $80-100 hotel rate for their standard room.

Was excited to stay but unfortunately the experience was just OK. Overall design was nice but it felt like either the hotel is old, poorly maintained or was built cheaply. Many of the power sockets would come out of the wall, the kettle didn't work, and the shower made weird noises. The buffet breakfast was also not what I'd expect for a 5 star hotel. Worst though was that the aircon didn't work so it was very warm and hard to sleep and when we let the front desk know, their response was "so? Lots of the air-conditioners don't work!"

Executive lounge closed at 8:30 but no drinks after 7:30. We had a late arrival and did not accommodate us at exactly 7:30. Restaurant on 6th floor had plenty of staff, and only 3 tables eating in large, rather souless Le Grill. Awkard attempts to place napkins in our laps (ewe, personal space) and confusing i-Pad menu left us just wanting a quiet cocktail before ordering room service. Staff would not serve us, insisting we go to bar on first floor. No reasonable explanation for this. Opted out for room service which was fine. Breakfast average—had much better in much more economical places w coffee service at the table. Awful coffee. Nice people in restaurant but not particularly stellar. Everything diy except for their creative version of eggs benedict. Room outdated, old carpet and rather garishly appointed. Lumpy king bed, no sheet, or blanket. Only duvet. Not a spectacular view from 27 floor. Bathtub top notch and only thing that will keep me here for second night. My friend’s room has disgusting smell emanating from bathroom, pervasive throughout room. Gym old but serviceable. Beautiful pool. Quiet at least. However for premium price and a 5 star, service underwhelming and indifferent besides the sweet room service guy who appears to be both answering the phone and serving. Super disappointing. Do not recommend whatsoever. Not good value. Will not stay here again.

Like the creative design of the carpet , first time to see the pillow for the bath tub. Spacious area.

The hotel is situated at a central area but it's not near to a subway station. The nearest subway station needs about 10 minutes walk from the hotel so the best way is probably by cab. Maybe I had higher expectations because it's Sofitel as I don't really think they live up to the standard of a 5 star hotel in few aspects. One thing I do appreciate is that they immediately act on it when feedback is given to them. The hotel also offers free breakfast for Accor Plus gold status and above.

Location was excellent in very good area. Everything very close. Big hotel with very nice breakfast and dinner. - Hotel needs some renovation. - Most of the staff dont speak English. - Has some weird smell like old. - Expensive hotel but doesnt justify being a 5 star hotel.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Sofitel Guangzhou Sunrich during my visit to Guangzhou, and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. This luxurious hotel truly exceeded my expectations in every aspect, from its stunning design to its impeccable service.
