Astera resort is a piece of heaven nestled amongst the bustle of Canggu. My room was spacious, well lit, and the bed was one of the comfiest I’ve slept in. The staff were one of the highlights of my trip. They all made an effort to go out of their way for my comfort and were extremely hospitable. Devi, in particular, was a great source of support throughout my trip. The massage at the spa was the best I’ve ever had. Thank you! 🙏🏻

Significant construction and noise starting 0730am daily. We booked for 7 nights. Unlike all other hotels and villas Asteria didn’t communicate this until arrival and would not refund any nights despite us cancelling the booking and not staying here. We specifically chose this hotel due to the distance from the centre and all the images of green fields and calm. It’s not the case and half of the villas directly face constructions, tarpaulin sheets obstructing the view and noise from 0730. Be warned

The highlights of my stay were undoubtedly the shared pool, swing in the room and the comfy and long working desk with an amazing view. Very beautiful resort, and great place to stay. Although warm and kind staff but no experience in managing customers expectations. My experience there wasn’t up to standard in having my basic needs full filled, specifically housekeeping. the crew requires lot of work on being customer centered.

Villa is beautiful, location average - it’s too far from anything. Breakfast horrible for this type of price and place - plus it’s in your room, and is cold by the time it gets to you. Spa wasn’t anything special. Go down the road and get better ones for cheaper. Probably wouldn’t stay here again even though room was lovely, bed super comfortable and pool straight out bedroom was beautiful.

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay at Astera Villa Canggu, booked through Luxury Escapes. I have encountered several issues during my stay that have greatly impacted my experience and have not met the standards and expectations that were advertised on the Luxury Escapes website. Firstly, the room I was provided with did not match the photos displayed on the Luxury Escapes website. The room was outdated, poorly maintained, and lacked the cleanliness and amenities that were advertised. The condition of the room was subpar and did not reflect the luxury experience that was promised. Secondly, during my stay at Astera Villa Canggu, I experienced a serious skin rash, which I believe was due to the lack of cleanliness and hygiene in the room. This had a significant impact on my comfort and well-being during my stay, and I was disappointed with the lack of attention to cleanliness and maintenance at the property. Furthermore, I was disappointed with the transportation services provided by the hotel. The hotel attempted to charge me a higher rate for taxis compared to the standard rates in the area, resulting in unnecessary and unexpected additional expenses during my stay. This was unacceptable and not in line with the level of service and professionalism that I expected from a luxury property. Additionally, the room lacked basic amenities such as toothbrushes, which are essential for any traveler. This inconvenience further added to the dissatisfaction of my stay and did not meet the basic requirements for a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Furthermore, the service provided by the hotel did not match the premium price that was paid for the stay. The staff was unresponsive to my concerns and failed to provide the level of service that was expected from a luxury property. The quality of service was below par and did not meet the standards advertised on the Luxury Escapes website. Lastly, the hotel's food offerings did not match the variety and quality that was advertised on the menu. Despite the promise of a diverse menu, I was informed upon ordering that only fried rice and fried noodles were available, which I believe was misleading and dishonest to customers. Based on the above mentioned reasons, I kindly request a full refund for my stay at Astera Villa Canggu, as the experience did not meet the standards and expectations that were advertised on the Luxury Escapes website. I believe that the issues I encountered during my stay were unacceptable and have greatly impacted my overall experience. I appreciate your attention to this matter and I trust that Luxury Escapes will take the necessary steps to address these issues and provide a satisfactory resolution. I look forward to your prompt response regarding the refund request.

We couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay for our first two nights in Canggu. This is definitely the best place to relax and have some privacy… and if you’re bored you can always goof around with Alexa and ‘she’ will make you laugh with ‘her’ jokes. Or even watch Netflix!! The staff was amazing and always willing to help. We had a floating breakfast which was a lovely experience and they prepared us a flower bath in the outdoor jacuzzi where we relaxed for a long time and we also loved the fact that we had a private pool. The Villa is very tidy and clean, so that's a big plus +++ . Room is also very spacious and we love the fact we had a lot of natural light during the day. We also asked for room service and tried their food which was tasty and fresh. We can only recommend staying at Astera Canggu. Thank you so much for this lovely experience!

Relatively new place, clean, big, bed was very comfortable. Staff were friendly too. Location was pretty good, walking distance to several well known cafes. As mentioned by others, unable to call for Gojek if you want to go out. They will hire drivers for you which is usually double the price shown on Gojek. But the vehicles are usually bigger and more comfy. Had an incident where after housekeeping, the staff didn’t close the door properly. When we got back in the evening, we found that anyone could have gone in. But thankfully, nothing was lost.

Astera Canggu Villa was simply amazing! The villa had a beautiful blend of modern and traditional Balinese design, creating a spacious and relaxing environment. The outdoor area with the pool was stunning, and the staff were extremely helpful and attentive, providing great recommendations and making sure everything was perfect. The location was ideal, with easy access to surfing spots, restaurants, and shopping. I highly recommend Astera Canggu for a luxurious and unforgettable stay in Bali.

Bummed I couldnt get the room with the private pool as it was fully booked. Got a loft across the road. Staff informed that we were lucky as there was construction going on behind the private villas. Staff were cheerful, smiley and full of greetings. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Personal opinion, the rooms were more suited for couples due to the open concept shower and toilet. Location a short ride to the beach. Two marts nearby with a 3 minute walk. Breakfast was made to order instead of buffet. Though menu was not extensive, it was sufficient. Many coffe joint nearby if you prefer to get your own breakfast. Plenty of parking space for your rented scooters though not many bike rentals around the location. Will I come back? Yes.

I have mixed feelings about this place. We were awaken every day by the traffic on the road. It’s a problem in Bali, in general. There’s construction right in front of the pool so no one goes there. The breakfast was really bad. Even the coffee was undrinkable. So even if it’s included, don’t count on it. We were often awaken by the staff slamming doors many times and when we told the front desk about the problems we’ve had they just didn’t care. On the good side, the room is very spacious, clean, and exactly like the images. AC works very well but it depends on the room. The staff is nice I blame the management for these bad decisions, not the staff. They just do what they’re told.

love love loved my 4 night stay at astera! first of all, we need to talk about their service staffs. they are the loveliest bunch of people with smiles on, every time we walked by them. never once did they not stop to greet us and held the door open for us. my partner was limping from an overstrained muscle and they consistently checked in on him which made us feel at home. the room, o m g. we booked the villa with rice field view and it was so so perfect. it was beautifully decorated with lots of room to walk or hop (for my limping partner). hot shower water works perfectly because i absolutely hate it when it takes forever for the shower water to get warm. i need to commend the housekeeping team for keeping our room clean each day, getting rid of mosquitos while we were out (we’d recognise the smell of baygon from afar) and even noticing how we were consuming 4 bottles of water the first 2 days and automatically placed extras in our room without us requesting. location wise i’d say it was perfect. no loud noise at night in this neighbourhood and yet close enough to travel around. it takes 10-30mins by car to get to popular places like mason, milk&madu, finns, la brisa etc. oh and for breakfast please try paed in a bowl. that was fabulous, i had it twice! we also had english breakfast, waffles, nasi goreng, magi goreng, avo toast and more. those were decent but not the best in my opinion.

Absolutely loved my stay at Astera; the villas were a cute little haven from how busy Canggu is and they were so well situated. Definitely recommend for a honeymoon stay! The flower bath was such a bonus too

Immensely disappointed!!! We made a huge huge huge mistake booking here. Let me give few of the below important points why not to stay here: 1. Resort staff gave me a wrong villa. We booked Royal pool villa which obviously wasn’t the case. I confirmed with lady at the reception twice while checking in & she confirmed yes it is Royal pool villa. I reconfirmed the next day with another staff & they said it is a normal pool villa. 2. Food at the restaurant is waste of money. Even the complimentary breakfast is work skipping as it wastes your time to be there! 3. Breakfast you can only select one item from the menu! How hopeless. We stayed at 4 different hotels & resorts & none of the others had such useless option. On top of this, they have a restricted menu which is another turn off! 4. They have a variety of tea options on menu but can give you only one type. 5. Canggu area is full of hooligans. Not the best place to live around this area. I read a few reviews & literally don’t understand why this place has such good reviews! The private pool is not much of a pool to be frank, you can only call it a big bathing tub! Spa bath is too small for two people (obviously a one bed villa will be for couple so it should be bigger). Trust me, not a place to waste money! Such a disappointment to end our trip with.

Australia to bali only few hours this is many times back to bali after pandemic,now bali is growth up,canggu is very central place almost same like kuta, i was stay in canggu for a week is such pleasure stay with good staff and villa,culture and good vibes,we will comeback soon with next my son holiday school✈️

The newly 2 year old constructed Astera Villa Canggu was an amazing experience. We had booked a villa and it had all amnesties that you require from your own private pool and jacuzzi to pool facing bed and also having a luxurious layout. The location is perfect as well as it’s easy to go to the beach one way or other parts of Bali the other way and you do not need to think much about it. The hospitality of the People and all of their staff was just incredible, welcoming us with a big smile everytime we came back to our villa. If you go here you definitely need to try the Balinese massage at their own Spa as it was incredible. Cant wait to come to Bali and Astera soon.

Fantastic stay at Astera Villa Canggu. We stayed over the road from the main villas, room 902. Lovely room, aircon worked fantastic, shower was huge and hot. Nightly pizzas delivered straight to the room from restaurant below. The pool is also lovely with an infinity edge overlooking the terraces. The area is easy to get in and out of, quiet but close the the hustle and bustle. Best of all the customer service is so warm and welcoming. We will definitely be back.

It was definitely one of the best stay so far in Bali for us. We stayed there two nights and really enjoyed till the end. Their staff is super nice people who are always smiling and ready to help you. Rooms are absolutely clean and modern. It was so surprising that we havent seen any bugs or ants inside the room. Netflix was very enjoyable, private pool and jakuzi rocks! As a breakfast we prefered the best scramble! It was yummy.. i would definitely come back here next time. I recommend Astera Villa to all of you. Make yourself a favour and stay here💙

Come rignt on time to check in just to wait for another 30 minutes since the room is not ready. Next, Jacuzzi does not working so we have to wait for another 40 minutes for them to fix it. Later, we're have to ask the staff again since they're not have added the Jaccuzi soap. I found the laundry bag is missing too. Last, when checkout they're accusing us for drink one of the beer inside the minibar, which we didnt touch at all. They asked us to wait again until they finish investigating the Mini bar. We mad & leave the place immedietly because we're sick of it and tired of waiting.

Literally just finish talking to their sales reps on the phone (Mr. Trio Mandala) checking the price. i was given a room rate of IDR 2.4 Mio/nite , halfway through the phone call, he suddenly increased the price to IDR 4 Mio++ saying that price just changes.. Checking price experience had already given me a bad taste imagine what happen if i proceed and stay here.. NOT RECOMMENDED

The apartment we booked was a Smart Villa and it felt like home. There’s an Italian restaurant and Pd thai restaurant just outside with very tasty meals. Absolutely enjoyed my stay and will be back if I am ever in Canggu again.
