Actually not bad - they have a reasonable selection and are not too overpriced given that they’re about the only place you could get a quick bite from at the island. That said, the bagel with salmon was OK, but the $6 hot dog was terrible, and we even had to ask again - as after 20-30 mins it still hadn’t been served. Seating areas are nice, with good view of the little inlet.

If you ever get a chance to go to San Francisco and you want to do Alcatraz I recommend doing Alcatraz and Angel Island combo. Angel Island offers a lot of educational things that happened in the ww II. We ended up eating at a taco place call Cantina in the island. I was very impressed I had the chicken adobo tacos they were seriously amazing. And my husband had a burger it was also pretty well done juicy not dried and plenty of flavor it is a little pricey but I don't mind paying for good food. Don't forget to grab yourself a drink!

Just a pristine wonderful way to get away from the city and out on the water and then hike around the the island and enjoy the historic buildings and vistas the island has to offer. Good food on the island with a cantina with oysters and beer great salads . Going by boat of ferry is great fun .

You're most likely on a tour, and it's 2 PM and you still haven't had lunch. $14 nachos and $6 beers to the rescue! Not terrible, but definitely tourist taxed. Oh, and there's live music.

Open 10-3 summer months, the food is much better than I would have expected, and the is a terrific view of the cove.

Nice island. We did the team tour which wasn't 50% closed due to the roads being down, so if you're visiting in the next few months considering hiring a bike. In terms of food this is the only place on the island to eat. So If you visit bring your own food. Unless you like to eat Mexican for lunch. Nothing really for kids here and for a place that proclaims everything is freshly made to order, a simple cheese sandwich felt like a big ask. Negotiation started with "We can do you a hand and cheese croissant but that's about it". In the end they reluctantly made my son a toasted cheese sandwich. Lovely island, but food is nothing to write home about.

I certainly enjoyed their food and customer service, good location next to my residence. The cashiers are always friendly. Will come back again.

First things first. Eat here and you won't be complaining about standard park visitor center slop. The food was good. The nachos were enormous and the sandwiches were great. All of that aside - daaaaaang this place was expensive...like, I have to deduct a whole star expensive. Ouch! The other thing to remember. If you're visiting as a part of a tour (say a joint Alcatraz tour) be prepared for a little timing anxiety as you wait and wait for your order while you're expecting your departing boat to arrive. We'll definitely be back...with mountain bikes!
