22 minutes in the drive thru just to receive a sandwich with a bug burned into the lettuce… they gave me a refund and wished me well. Won’t fix the trauma of almost eating an insect.

If I could rate tonight’s meal a 0 I would. 45 minutes in line, missing items, incorrect order. I ordered 4 beefs dipped all were dry. This is the third time my order was messed up. You just lost my business Portillos!

Always a great experience. The food is phenomenal. Maybe their prices have gone up it was a little expensive for a hot dog. Service was slower than I remember. We waited about 13 minutes to get our hot dog with fries.

I stopped into Portillo’s and definitely notice a difference from before. The prices have definitely gone noticeably higher and the quality seemed to change. I was in on a not busy day and the food took a while to come out, not fast. I’ll probably return but it’s going to have to be a while.

my sandwich hard af and the lettuce is rotten it’s brown, back to the sandwich the chicken is so hard and over cooked I nearly broke a tooth trying to bite it and tasted rubbery for the aftertaste and whoever gave me my food for pickup was rude asl tell ur staff to quit if it’s so damn hard to give u your pickup order

Unsatisfied with the customer service. Our food was laying on the counter for 30 minutes even though we asked for it 3 times. When we got our burgers they were cold and we returned them to the kitchen where we were met with attitude and they took their sweet time in remaking them. I do not recommend coming here.

I visited this restaurant at 10:30 PM, expecting a pleasant late-night meal. However, I was met with disappointment. Firstly, the burger I ordered arrived surprisingly cold, lacking the freshness I anticipated. More concerning was the state of cleanliness. The front area was littered with garbage, significantly detracting from the dining atmosphere. Upon noticing this, I felt compelled to inform a staff member. Rather than receiving an apology or prompt action, I encountered a dismissive attitude. The staff's response to my request for cleaning was not only unprofessional but also conveyed a lack of customer care. This experience has unfortunately tainted my view of the establishment. The combination of poor food quality and inadequate customer service, particularly in handling feedback, leaves much to be desired. As a result, I've made the decision not to return for future dining. It's disheartening, as I believe every patron deserves a clean environment and warm service, regardless of the time of their visit.

This Portillos is located in Tinley Park. I've been here numerous times and have went through the drive through and dined in and ate. The drive through is usually very long but my most recent experience was Sunday around 11 AM and there was no wait at all in the drive through. I gave my order and paid and pulled up to the window and waited. It took a little while to get my food. I ordered a single cheeseburger with everything minus the mayo and ketchup. I also got a large order of fries and a piece of chocolate cake. I hadn't ordered a burger from here in awhile so I thought I would mix it up and get one as I usually get a hotdog with everything or a beef sandwich. The cheeseburger was disappointing it was small and the bun overwhelmed it. The toppings were scant and the piece of lettuce was wilty too. The large fry was also lacking this visit. Usually when I get an order of fries here no matter what size, the box is overflowing with long, fresh hot fries. Not this time, the fries I got were mainly all the bottom scraps that were the hard small ends except for a few long fries and the box was not overflowing let alone completely full. The chocolate cake still tasted the same and good and moist as usual. However, I did notice they gave a smaller size portion of cake than they used to give and of course charge more for it. I think my total was around $18 plus tax for these 3 items and really not worth it. In the past Portillos was my go to place for fast food items like hotdogs, beef, and the like but I may have to reconsider based on my most recent visit...

The food from this place is amazing and worth the wait. The burgers, sandwiches, sauces and fries are great. Would definitely recommend and tell anyone to try it. Will definitely come back for more and to try what i haven't before. Only thing I was disappointed by was they forgot my onion rings and cheese sauce for the fries.

Every Portillo's I have went to has been Awesome! But this one was the very first I had ever been to, so it holds a special place in My Heart. Awe! Haha! But seriously this particular one is the best! Try em out and see.

Went inside to order a cheeseburger and well done fries. Well the young girl who took the order did her part by announcing my fries were to be well done so by the time the burger was ready order would be hot. I questioned my order to be told fries were not ready, they dumped already cooked fries back in fryer by taste of them and burger absolutely cold. Horrible food service., they have gone downhill.

This place has really fallen badly. They cannot get the simplest of orders correct and the quality and consistency of the food has fallen over the cliff. It's not likely that we'll be headed back this way any time soon. No need to get into great detail but when you cannot even get a sandwich and fries order correct you pretty much suck. Used to be better than great now it's just stay away!

Food is still delicious good quality but inside eating was disgusting especially Sitting in booths near windows spiderwebs on top shades are crested with mustard and ketchup and dirt obviously haven’t been cleaned months if not years

Portillos’s lines are long but they get you through rather quickly. I feel sorry for the folks standing outside taking orders. Management should spring for warmer clothing or give them an allowance for that. Better still rotate the staff so no one freezes. BTW: check your order before you get too far away for missing items. Mistakes happen. Big money Big money.

Portillo's is so awesome! The decor in this restaurant is so nostalgic. It was very clean and we had very friendly staff. My son got the number to Hot dog combo what a great deal. They're fries are great. My husband said their chicken tenders were very tasty and the honey mustard sauce was a little bit sweet and spicy. Everything was prepared correctly and served nice and hot.

Ordered hotdogs and fries for the kids, a cheeseburger for our dog. That food was good and acceptable. My wife and I ordered 2 big beefs dry. What we received was a soggy skinny beef sandwich. Pretty underwhelming.

Had the Italian Beef for the first time! It was... fine. Super expensive for what it is though and not worth. The main problem was service. NEVER! MOBILE ORDER! My God, I have no idea why it took so long for what we ordered. It wasn't that busy! 30+ minutes past the expected time felt crazy. The employee who was handing out the mobile orders was a very nice person though. I really respect that they put things that should be cold in a fridge behind them and grab it for you when you pick up your order. It's small but I wouldn't honestly expect that from anywhere normally lol Overall - I would only return for the dessert. The Strawberry Shortcake and Chocolate Cake absolutely rips! Probably the best desserts in 'fast' food. I'd never mobile order from here though again, as they seemed to HEAVILY prioritize people who ordered in person.

Love the ribs and Italian beef sandwich (dine in I get the big Beef with peppers dipped). The beef n cheddar Croissant and burgers are excellent. I always loved the chocolate cake shake, but the last few times it's been disappointing. I don't think I'd get it again. Barely any cake and blended so much there are no cake "chunks" nor frosting. They have great Onion Rings as well. Can't go wrong here

One of the best fast food restaurants in the Midwest. It is a staple and a must have whenever somebody who used to live here comes back to town. The hot dogs, beef sandwich and even the noodle salads are great. You have to get the cheese fries as well. Each location is different with old memorabilia and nostalgia and has a awesome atmosphere. I used to go to another location over 20 years ago and the food is still amazing. Continue to be a Chicago legend and I will keep coming back.

This location is always great for making a quality meal and having fast service. This time we only ordered 2 slices of lemon cake to try and they had it ready for us at the first window. There were a few cars ahead of us but the line moved pretty fast.

They never disappoint. Portillo's is the best place for beef sandwiches and Chicago style hot dogs. You have to try the Cake Shake at least once - fantastic. Be prepared for a long wait in the drive thru. But your patience will be rewarded with delicious, one-of-a-kind food.

This Portillo location always has a crowded drive-through, but the line goes fast. The food is good and hot when you receive it. The staff are friendly and efficient. No complaints here. If you like Portillo's, you will love the food at this location. If you haven't tried Portillo's, don't let the long lines deter you, it simply means the food is great.

I just ordered through Grubhub. Italian beef and small cheese fries. The fry container was less than half full with a big container of cheese. Did not get what I paid for as far as the fries.

1st time at this portillo's. I had a combination beef but they forgot my sweet peppers 😕

Best part was the music. The floors were not very clean, neither were several of the tables we tried to sit at. I ordered a big beef, dipped, with hot peppers. It was as if I had gotten day old bread that was just sitting in the sun. Did not taste like it usually does. Beef was surprisingly chewy. Peppers were hot and spicy, just the way they should be.

Oh, I love Portillo's... Philly cheese steak is out of this world! I moved to AZ and was kindly surprised to find one there.. what a treat. Love their salads, fries and everything in between ... So many options and they're all great.

I ordered a salad and tea, took 10 minutes. Friends nuggets and onion rings sat, she had to tell them it was her order, tjey were cold. Fruit Fly wouldn't leave us alone. Employees sit in dining area on break, he was playing loud music 4 tables away. Bathrooms needed attention. Employee taking care of dining room was on the phone. Chopped Salad was good. Flavor of cold onion rings were good. Big chicken strips.

Only make it to Portillo's a couple times a s year as I'm not from Illinois, but it is absolutely on my list when I'm in the area. The employee as the register quickly realized I was new to ordering, so he took it upon himself to too my Italian beef. He said "you're in good hands". And I sure was! It was fantastic, and the best Italian beef I've ever had. The entire staff was quite friendly, and clearly enjoyed what they were doing. The environment there is classic and inviting as well!

YOU SHOULD BE EMBARRASSED As a Chicago native Portillos is a staple. I will never again go to any location after this. I put in an order days in advance for a catering pick up I scheduled a pick up for 2:30 in the afternoon we were throwing my mom a surprise birthday party so we gave a 3 hour notice to ensure if there were any issues it would be fine we picked up the order and you only gave us the salads and none of the other catering when my brother-in-law went back to return it it was revealed that you guys didn’t even make the rest of the order. This was nearly a $700 order and you guys didn’t even have the urgency or care to ensure that it was correctly made or taken care of at all. management tried to compensate us with two cakes which was absolutely ridiculous and then offered a credit of $100. Which at the time was acceptable but when they brought back to my house not only was it cold and obviously just thrown together and a mess you guys did not include any of the Hot or sweet peppers or the cheese for the salad as requested on the side. At this point our 60+ guests has been waiting for the food and since there is a complete lack of urgency clearly it would take another hour for this to be corrected for the second time. We had to go to the store and buy and prepare it ourselves. I wouldn’t even complain if it wasn’t how expensive this catering order was and you guys messed it up multiple times. And it wasn’t even a complicated order it was three trays of salad three trays of beef and two trays of Italian sausage and you still couldn’t manage to get it right TWICE. It is beyond ridiculous. Not only will we not be returning but either will the 60+ people who witnessed this.

Called in order and they told me it will be ready in twenty minute, when I got there the lobby is closed with no one to give me my order. I waited twenty-five minutes in line for the drive thru to get my order which was cold. Why are u guys taking phone orders if I still have to wait thru the drive thru

Amazing food! Their Chicago Beef and Chicago Dogs are authentic and delicious. Staff are friendly and service is quick. Plenty of seating and taking and they even have an efficient drive thru!

I believe it’s the best burger in town, good grilled meet with the right dressing, French fries are not soaked with oil like other places.

I've come here multiple times and each time was pretty much flawless. The line moves quickly inside and out. Obviously this location is ran well with leadership and performance. Keep up the good job!

I was a first time Portillo's. Patron so I didn't really know what to expect. The menu board is pretty self explainitory. I had the chili dog,fries and the Italian beef dipped with sweet pepper. Both were good 👍 i'd definitely revisit this establishment. Fast friendly service, with a clean, welcoming atmosphere. Well do Portillo's staff!

They 6 star know how to do it. As for cost I had a party of 3. It's bit more expensive than the competition and worth the extra cost. I don't expect to see any problems with Portillos future growth. They are loved every where they build.

Always gotta love the food. Just wish the wait time wouldn't be so long. People usually always nice, good still hot, though you do have to check your bag to make sure your received everything. But will always be a good place for food.

Very bad experience I ordered online at 3 and made the order to be picked up at 4 and I arrived at 4 the curbside is very unorganized the pick up the cars randomly. I asked 4 different people for my order they kept going in side and telling me it's coming I called inside they told me we will send it right a way and they didn't I called again and asked for a manager they wouldn't get a manager and they hung up on me. I finally got my order at 4:30. I'm very disappointed from the crew there and the manager who don't want to speak to customers. Never going back there.

Always forgets items in orders happens every time at this location. NOW that it is take out only especially so far the have forgotten salads, fries, and cakes. I try to avoid now.

Used the busy drive through, but was pleasantly helped by the DT attendants processing orders. The food was exactly how I wanted it and hot when I made it home. Love this Portillos location. Always great service, food and people. 5 STARS and always a returning customer.

The line was long but they have a good system so it went pretty quick. We ordered two grilled chicken sandwiches. The chicken was severely overcooked. It was very hard for me to swallow it. I gave it two stars for the delicious cheese fries.

The meals and service were ahead of our expectations. I really loved the ambience of this spot. Amazing place to take the family out for dinner.

Good stuff, but a little disappointed that the italian beef no longer comes with peppers, but instead you pay extra for them. Highly recommend ordering online before going or you are looking at 30+ min wait.

Portillos is great, I was Door Dashing and I was hungry. So I went through the drive through to order My food. While I was there they found my Door Dash order and I received that to while I was in the drive through. It was a lot faster than waiting in the Door Dash lot.

I eat Portillo's often and this was the worst. I initially got the wrong order then upon receiving my order items were missing... it was just not the food that I was used to. Placing the order was good but the wait was unacceptable and to have so many errors. 🙄

Ordered online for curbside pickup as we were short on time and didn't want to go through the drive thru. Got there to pick-up only to learn they were not doing curb side that day, and had to go through the drive thru. There were no signs stating this upon entering the parking lot. Wasted over an hour in the drive, in order to pick-up food that was now cold as it has apparently been ready long before I received it. By the looks of the other people wandering the parking lot that day, I wasn't the only ill-informed person. Also the people working the drive were just as clueless about what was happening and why that day either. I had been informed that they don't "know" until that day if they are doing curbside or not. COVID or not, communication needs to improve and you should remove "curbside" from the website as well, as this business does NOT do this service.

Best chocolate cake EVER! I usually buy the whole cake and it works great for parties and myself.

Combinations we bought this evening had very little beef on them. Now I remember why I hadn't been there in over a year. I've been making my own combinations at home with Italian beef and sausage from Mariano's. Much better quality.
