The staff are nice, professional, and helpful. I really like the fact that we take our orders. The food was appealing, flavorful, and enjoyable. The only down side was the tables because they didn't clean them. I defiantly understand that when it's busy there's not a lot of time to do that, but it would be more appealing to eat on a clean table.

We decided to treat our girls after their report card grades. As soon as we pulled into the parking lot, we had a sense it would be bad. One of the employees was outside screaming out to another person in the parking lot. She was loud and using profanity. We waited a couple of minutes until she went back inside, and we still decided to give it a chance. We walked into the restaurant, we sat down and waited for someone to bring us the menu. No one came to us, never greeted us or acknowledged us. The place was empty with the exception of us and another couple who was already eating. There must have been 3 other employees in the back. After 5 minutes of no service, we walked out very disappointed. We wanted to treat our daughters to some shakes, but this experience ruined their first time to Steak N Shake. I doubt we will ever step foot into this location. Very bad establishment.

We did an online pickup order because we drove past it on the way to my daughter's dentist appointment. We mentioned that we missed their shakes. When I went in to pick up, my feet were sticking to the floor. It took a good 10 minutes to finally get ACKNOWLEDGED that I was there. Another 10 minutes or so go by and the employees are yelling at each other, acting like Tinley Park is the city or something. It was an experience I would have expected in Harvey. Our order finally came out, and I guess they are illiterate there, because our order had a kid's strawberry shake and while my shake and my wife's shake were right, they gave us a different shake that was not obviously a kid's strawberry. And they shorted us a large fry. I got the shake and the large fry and at least the large fry was fresh, but the fries that I had already gotten were not fresh. So I'm not sure why I waited that long. The shakes were really good though. The place was dirty looking, floor was sticky and it definitely needs a good overhauling. I've been in mom and pop shops in the ghetto and they were miles ahead of this S&S. I'm not even sure how they're in business with Freddy's right around the corner.

Place was gross. They told us to wait in front of the restaurant for our order. It never came, an employee walking in told us our order would be right out but they never brought it out. I went in angry after I got tired of waiting. The same employee that told us our order was coming acted like she didn’t just saw us waiting and pretended like she didn’t know what was up. They tried to give me a refund but they refunded the wrong card. They also tried to give me free food for to make up for it , but I could not eat it after what I saw while I waited there. The girl cooking the burgers had slippers on with no socks, barefoot cooking food!. She proceeded to put more burgers the grill with a meat fork the same fork she was using to tap the screen to see the order then back to touching the burgers with it. I can guarantee the tv screen never gets cleans as I could see the layer of grease on it. Never going back there again.

Asanti was shift manager, she was so helpful and patient as we tried using the kiosk and we messed up and she literally just stepped right up to help us out. We received the type of service that was outstanding, haven't had such a nice friendly service like that in awhile at a fast food establishment. We dined in and everything tasted fresh and the milkshake was perfect. It definitely hit the spot. Thanks again for the great friendly service.

There isn't a cashier anymore. You order off if s computer. You can't add any special instructions. 3 stars for service because of that. I asked one of the cooks if Mt fries could be well done. He informed the other cook who verified with me which I appreciated. It sucks because the service I did receive was good, but not having interaction with the employees and customers is terrible... hence 3 stars. Food was good. Shakes were great. Atmosphere was dead. Not busy at all.

What every fast food restaurant should strive to be like. Steak and Shake has got it together. Forget McDonald's these guys have the best fries on the planet. People at this location are super nice and very accommodating I give them a lot of credit. Decent prices as well.

Kitchen is very nasty would not recommend…they also make the workers wipe the floors with rags, instead of mops. Lady Manager is very rude when talking to employees, feels like she can say anything any type of way. It is not what u say, but how u say it. I had no problem with her instructions, but her deliverance was terrible. She also feels the need to try to be funny when she is the only thing funny. Wiping floors on hands and knees is very disrespectful and tacky, this is 2023, who doesn’t have mops? Would not recommend to those looking for work. Quit on my first day as this was an very bad experience for me. They also did not tell me what uniform I was supposed to wear. I had to ask the day I was supposed to start, and was told that I couldn’t start because I didn’t have the uniform that they didn’t tell me about. I was under the impression that I would be given the things I needed to wear, since I was given no heads up to get the items. I know those who work other fast food restaurant jobs, who all said that this establishment is foul and that is not how they should operate, as other places such as McDonald’s don’t even treat you like that. Shift was from 11- 5pm and I decided to take a break at 2:50, but manager got mad and decided to be dishonest and criticized my work ethic by saying that I took a break 2 hours into my shift, which is untrue. Manager was upset that I no longer had an interest in working there and decided to blame me, instead of taking accountability for the establishment. Kept texting me messages saying that this type of treatment is just part of the job and also left a very long nasty message to a family member of mine who was concerned about the scrubbing floors on hand and knees situation. Anyone with common sense would leave.

Awesome food and service. Michelle (I think the Manager) personally walked the food out to me. Order was perfect and love that they have longer hours. Best steak burgers!! Keep up the great service and work!!

I want to tell you, hands-down, best experience at a fast food place I ever had the staff was so polite and nice even though they were busy they still did the best they could and I appreciate it. They are so polite there, and so respectful and so professional I highly recommend going there.

The restaurant was clean and service was timely, considering we had a all group of 5. Our orders were correctly done and we had no complaints. Their shakes are delicious as well as their burgers. The menu is very limited, but for those who don't care for a lot of variety, this is the place for you. Steakburgers is what they do.

Recently moved to the area and was very excited to have a steak and shake close by. The last few times that my gf and I have went the food has been great. Tony, the cook working the grill, made sure to greet us as soon as we walked in and even got our order started before we were done entering it on the kiosk. He is always polite and the food he cooks has been some of the best Steak and Shake that we have had. Looking forward to going back and getting another burger soon!

The only thing that gets a star is the staff. They are amazing. However, this location should be shut down. It is by far thee dirtiest restaurant I've ever been in. The smell is horrible, everything is beyond dirty and the bathrooms were out of a horror movie. It is so disgusting when I walked out I threw up. Disgusting is putting it lightly. I worked in a morgue and that's what this place smells like. HORRIBLE !!!!

I was totally disappointed with the new concept. I saw 4 other patrons fill the same way. my granddaughter like the food and the shake. I was happy that the young person came out to me and my granddaughter to help us navigate the kiosk. however they were reluctant to do so

I am so glad this Steak and Shake was good. The food was fixed just right and the only thing I didn't like was some food option were not on the menu. They didn't have the chicken strips or macaroni and cheese at this location. Other than that everything was good

If you’re thinking of ordering off any delivery app don’t even bother. Without fail every-time I’ve ordered they completely leave something out. I tried to call and ask if I could pick up my missing items and and the phone was hung up immediately. Disgusting behavior because the food is good.

Quality yet affordable. I appreciate the professional staff that keeps a friendly attitude as they service your food. They always give a smile which makes me happy to offer the occasional survey. Flying colors! Aim high guys!

Got 2 milkshakes and 2 double cheese burgers. The burgers were made all types of wrong, they messed it up. No pickle, no mayo, no ketchup. Only old rotten lettuce and onions. The burgers were made so thin that it would take 3 of them to make a real patty on a McDonald's burger. They hide the lack of quality with excessive salt. The milkshake was very good though. We won't be back. Not worth it with all the other choices out there. Manager was nice but food was a serious let down.

Food was good, but no real service to speak of. You order at a kiosk, then go pick up your food when it is done. I had to ask multiple times for some things. But at least the food was very good.

Burger was SO salty and they didn’t have shakes..??? I also don’t like sweet drinks and they had no water bottles or unsweetened tea. I did get there within an hour of closing but it’s not like I showed up minutes before. Maybe it was the day before restock or something.

The last time I eat there was before covid. You order at a kiosk now. NO waiters or waiterss. Just the cooks in the back. They call out your # when the food is done. So weird. The menu was very limited. I could not find the mushroom Swiss burger which I loved in the past. Still had milk shakes in many favors. Not sure if or when I will be back.

Opened my to go bag & saw this, then realized I didn't get my drink from my combo meal & was told "its self service but we outta cups". Absolutely useless staff...
