Sujanpur Tira Fort is located at a distance of 22kms from Hamirpur town and touches the Kangra border. The fort was built by Raja Abhay Chand of the Katoch dynasty of Kangra in 1758. For more than a century, Sujanpur Tira remained the royal residence for the Katoch dynasty. The fort in the early 19th century was also the residence of Raja Sansar Chand, who is reckoned to be the patron of Kangra School of miniature paintings.

Beautiful Fort … it is poorly maintained… this is historic place and goverment should maintain it beautifully…if you are inside then there are chances that roof may fall anytime… even in some areas they have put wooden pipes so that roof will not fall (what a pity),,, road to this place is not good…there is no entry ticket is required… If you are here than Must visit Temple on the top of Fort and enjoy the Patasha prashaad there…from too of the fort you can enjoy the beitifull city view .. its awesome…

One of the best historical places in Himachal Pradesh on the banks of Beas river to visit along with family and children. Vehicles can go up to the fort. Parking space available here. No entry ticket. No wait to enter the fort. No queues. Nice peaceful environment throughout the year. Wheelchair entry not available.

Its stunning architecture, intricate carvings, and panoramic views of the surrounding landscape make it a must-visit for history enthusiasts and photographers. The tranquil atmosphere and informative guides add to the experience. However, accessibility can be a challenge due to its remote location. Quite a beautiful place to visit but it lacks the maintenance. Even Though it is under the Archeological Survey of India, nothing much has been done for its preservation and maintenance. The place gives you an aerial bird eye view of the Sujanpur town.
