Terrible place. Showers don’t work if there’s more than one person in them. If there is more than one person then it is a few drops of water coming out. There’s no place to put things in the rooms, like shelves etc or just even flat surfaces so everything gets messy. The older woman who helps run the hostel just shouts and shouts at you, interrupting conversations and honestly making you want to leave. The breakfast was a fried egg and bread but the egg had been prepared at 8 am and then left on the side, so it was cold hard and like plastic. The elder woman made you pay literally immediately after entering the door, not even time to properly put your bags down etc. All the people there were lovely but it was just a weird environment. She wanted people to call her Momma, which just made me uncomfortable and a lot of other guests feel that way. I really don’t recommend this place. It was the weirdest place I’ve stayed in my life.

Place was dirty and the lady (owner i think) was shouting a lot. But localization was great, near the city center and price was amazing, really cheap. For one-two nights is ok, garden is cozy and you can spend evening there with other travelers. Rooms are dark

Had a really bad and unpleasant experience with this hostel. I had a reservation there for some time, and 2 days before arriving I wrote to ask how to get there from the airport and surprise surprise, I was told that they can't host me and I need to cancel. Apparently they were having plumbing issues, but they did not bother to notify the guests who had reserved there. And they said it's perfectly acceptable to write me two days before arriving (not by their own initiative!) that the reservation is cancelled. Really unprofessional and doesn't seem to understand the basics of hospitality.

The best breakfast ever! The place is very cozy and the garden is amazing! The hostel is just 15 minutes walking from the main city square. Close to the hostel there is a parking where you can park the park for 700 lek per day. Per friendly place!

During our roadtrip we were looking for a place to stay, we walked in with no reservation & asked for accommodation additionally we received the warmest welcome you can imagine. Perfect hostel

There is something about hostels (like this one) in Albania, where you immediately feel at home. The owner welcomed us with open arms and made us a delicious dinner (he is a chef!), we stayed there the whole night and chilled with the travelers from all over the world 🌜🌞 Faleminderit shumë 🤪

We left the hostel a night early as it was not clean, lacking a decent kitchen and bathroom facilities. Misleading photos even according to the volunteers, definitely didn't represent the current state of hostel. Organisation was lacking, couldn't tell who worked there, overbooked and didn't have enough beds available. We were over charged for our stay despite showing them confirmation of the booking, they made an excuse about not having any change but then pretended it was a better deal! Can't understand previous good reviews as the only good thing was that the beds were clean and comfy.

It's was a great recommendation by me for those who want to explore Tirana. All the bus stops are within walking distance, you can go anywhere airport or picnic places. They also offer breakfast and honestly, the hostel is very clean and at this price, I can't get a meal from the restaurant. They have a nice sitting area outside in the garden. I am from London and I spent 12 beautiful days and the staff was very friendly

We chose Zig Zag hostel because it was central located, well priced and looked chilled. Zig Zag Hostel was great and exactly what was needed. My friend was very sick with a fever and he got kicked out of the room with all the stuff because the lady was supposed to clean it. After Looking at the pictures they put obline we decided to stay there since they looked great. So we booked the 2bed room.. Unfortunately the only room without pictures.. for a certain reason. It was dodgy, not renovated like the other rooms and dirty.
