The location is good. I didn't talk much to the owner, he seems to be friendly. The whole area where we stayed was smelling from the curry in the kitchen. No possibility to get rid of the smell. Rooms very basic, not too clean. There was a locker for our bags. The bathroom was not clean, there was nothing to put the towel or the shampoo. Our roommates were staying there for longer, we felt a bit disturbed by them. Someone started to massage my friends feet without asking her, maybe not the best thing to do. Definitely questionable the good rating.

Reasonably close to things, but could use some visible signs. Beds are reasonably comfy, if cold until they put the heat on around 10 or 11pm. Was disappointed they charge you a conversion rate to change their price from "euro" to their own money, "lek" so it's cheaper to pay in euro for me. The hostel's proximity to Tirana's main attractions is advantageous. However, there's room for improvement in terms of amenities. Charges apply for towels and the use of a heater/AC. Despite opting for a double bed, my assigned room had two singles. Additionally, there's limited space for storing luggage and clothes.

Get ready for a sloppy stay, This lady will ask you for money before your name.. First: shock and disappointment, the pictures on the reality do not look like the ones on the site.. Second: Some rooms were without air conditioning, and when I told her I would pay for an air-conditioned room, she agreed, but she said that the air conditioning would not turn on until 9 pm , when the temperature was in Tirana (37). Third: She hid the remote control of the air conditioner and refused to answer my call, and after I threatened her to leave, she told me, “I don’t know where the remote is.” Then I sent her husband and watched him bring the air conditioner remote from the store. Then she left the place in protest, but her husband tried to attack me aggressively.

Fair price, good location. Bad service. Standard hostel with kitchen and common area. Shower and toilet near by room. But room was very cold and 2€ for heater? No way. Possibly will be problem in summer with heat. No tv in the room or anywhere

This is a brilliant hostel... the facilities are top class. The beds are super comfortable, the bedding is decent quality and each bed has its own locked storage area and locker, with keys provided. A towel is also provided, which is not common for a lot of hostels. There is a kitchen and common room and the staff are really friendly and speak excellent English. Brilliant value.

A good value hostel that is 1 of the cheapest in Tirana. It is small over 3 floors but they are currently in the process of building an extension with extra showers and private rooms which will be nice when it's finished. Each bed has a socket; free WiFi and a decent kitchen to cook.

Other than that, in last day of my stay, a girl was robbed and lost her notebook, she was not using a locker, due to the lack of keys

Overrated. You get a bed and that‘s it (no towels). Not too clean. Staff not very helpful. Feels like a huge flat share, where no one wants to invest anything because people know they move out very soon again

First of all the people are ok but rooms been quite messy and dirty. No bugs but a bit of mould in the room. Please clean the rooms better!

The hostel was a first time choice i had made,never stayed in one before.However I was amazed.The hostel beds are comfortable,toilet is clean,kitchen is well equipped and the place is well heated and comfortable.

Running by passionate couple who can tell you many advices about Tirana and Albania. The rooms are big and selection of the interesting guests is speaking itself about quality time you will have in this hostel.

Great stay. The best thing about Buff is the owners. Stavri was really helpful; from contacting me before arrival to give advice, to arranging my bus on to Kosovo. Matilda was also lovely and enjoyable to chat with. The hostel has everything you want - clean, comfy bed, air con, and even a free breakfast! The location is great; a short walk to the center, but in a quiet residential area with lots of cafes and restaurants. Thanks so much!! I’ll definitely be back soon!!

Great brand new hostel, super comfy bed and superb location. Tirana is an amazing city to discover and enjoy and the hostel is walking distance to the main spots. Horray for Stavri and Matilda, the best staff you could have around. I´ll be back :D

We stayed at Buff Hostel for few days during our summer holidays. The owners, Matilda and Stavri, are a lovely young couple who know everything about the city and the country. They are so friendly and helpfull that they helped us to plan our trip and stayed at our disposal on WhatsApp while we were actually driving around the country. The rooms are clean and simple, all made in wood pannel, giving an arty look to the place. The breakfast is amazing. We highly recommend this place!

We had a really nice stay had Buff Hostel. Well located, nice comfy room and really friendly and helpful owner.

All in all a great hostel. The location is in 10 Minutes walking distance to the center, lots of food around it. The dorms are realy nice and clean, aswell are the bathrooms. The owners are very friendly and do their best to make your stay as good as possible, they even managed to find an english speaking car garage for us, as we had a few problems with our car. Would definitly recommend to go there
