A truly lovely hostel, and for sure a hidden gem. The property is well located a short walk from everything and is a quiet oasis. There’s a balcony and garden where you can relax when you wanna escape the city feeling. The beds are comfortable and the room was spacious with big lockers. The host is very kind and welcoming, and the big bonus is the loveliest dog welcoming you upon each return to the hostel. Would definitely recommend this place for everyone, either solo travelers or traveling in groups!

One-week stay and this place felt like a second home. The garden has a very tranquille vibe, the interior style is on-point, comfy beds, great showers, much needed AC, flexible breakfast hours, very responsive owner (knowledgeable Alpinist), comforting dog. Not unimportant, just a stroll away from the centre, main cultural sights, Zgara, bakery, supermarket and it felt very safe also at nights. All in all, recommended and maybe a see you again!

great experience, for having never stayed in a hostel before Dolsin has set a very high bar. clean, located in city center (35m walk to terminal, 10 to the square, 10 to blloku, etc). Had a great time and recommend!

It was so good. My best hostel experience, Dolsin is a nice person, his dog Shadow is much more nicer (sorry Dolsin) If you are looking for a place to stay I’d recommend it 10/10. It’s like 10 mins to get to city center, 20 to Blloku where you can eat, drink etc.

My sister and I stayed at the Bearded Dad Hostel in Oct 2022 and had a wonderful experience! We were created by the owner (Dolsin) upon arrival and treated to some fresh pomegranate juice from the garden. Dolsin was very friendly and spoke good English. We shared a private room with shared bathroom and everything was kept very clean. There is a shared balcony area and nice garden outside with table and chairs. The hostel is located a block off the Main Street so it’s near the city center, but quiet to sleep at night. I highly recommend this spot!!

We had a great stay in this hostel. The showers are superrelaxed and clean, good beds, personal lockers, great host, chill garden. Perfect value for money. We would really recommand this hostel to everyone!

This was by far the worst airbnb i have ever experienced. Because my Dutch card wouldn't work to withdraw any cash i had to rebook. Iy wasnt easy too book another night. Airbnb wasnt coöperating either, so i booked my stay a day later due to availability. When returning to the Hostel after trying everything to solve this problem, i tried explaining the situation. Instead of compassion, i was shouted at untill i started crying and walked away. Sadly, this too was not respected as i, a solo traving young woman, was chased by said shouting angry man. You can imagine i felt threatened and in danger. The fact that i will not be getting a refund for the nights i'm not staying because of this, is just salt in the wound.

The hostel is great. The location of the hostel is quite close to the center and the bus stations. As for the room, is clean and very comfortable. Also, the owners are truly helpful and make sure you have a good stay here. They made it an extremely enjoyable stay. I would definitely recommend this hostel.

I visited the Bearded Dad Hostel at the grand opening party. This was my first time visiting a hostel and i was amazed by the warm welcome. The location was very easy to find and it was bigger than i expected. Loved the fact that the hostel had a lot of outdoor space to socialize. Definitely recommend this place.

This is the perfect hostel for a weekend getaway in Tirana. The downtown area on Main Street is a best kept secret and the Bearded Dad offers everything you need if you don’t feel like venturing out.

Lovely hostel, friendly staff, very quiet, clean and comfortable rooms, excellent facilities – probably the best equipped kitchen I’ve seen in any hostel. The hostel is in a pretty central location for exploring the city. Highly recommended, would definitely go back.

I stayed for a week and I can say everything was just GREAT! The location is right on city center. Super cozy inside, clean showers, comfortable bedroom and the owner respectful and helpful. Shadow (the dog) was cherry on the pie! Just amazing vibe. Highly recommended.
