Friendly stuff and loved the fact there were volunteers who are actually travelers! Some travelers ended up staying there for long time cuz they liked there and I had fun time with them! Good place to meet people definitely! I wanted to stay longer actually...

Pros: 1. Very nice ambience. 2. Cleanly maintained. 3. Good Wifi 4. Comfortable beds Cons. 1. They keep turning off the air conditioning off in there rooms at random times, even when there are people sleeping in them. It disturbs the sleep for a lot of people as you suddenly wake up sweating.

It's a nice hostel very well located in Tirana, of course some people are noisy and don't pay attention the night or the morning, but after all, it's a hostel, not a five star hotel. There is also a kitchen well equipped, a common space, guitar, coffee maker and numerous bathrooms. I found the personal and the volunteers super great ๐Ÿ‘Œ

One of the best hostels I ever stayed in my life. Rooms were very clean, the bathroom was kept spotless at all times and the volunteers were friendly and helpful. Since the hostel is also not that large, it kinda concentrates everyone in a few social areas and it makes it easier for everyone to interact. They also served dinner (for which you had to pay, but very cheap) and breakfast (for free) and both were very cheap and tasty. In fact, their dinner was probably the best meal I had while in Albania.

The owners of Blue Door Hostel go beyond excellent service. This is reflected in the volunteers they hirer. Everyone is friendly, knowledgeable about the city Tirana and all of Albania. They offer hikes, tours, places of interest and much more... The hostel has a great location 10 walk to the city center, coffee and restaurants 10 minutes away. It is a pleasure just to sit and relax with other travelers on the Sun Deck top floor, Bathrooms are clean, bedrooms have A/C also, clean. Large common/kitchen area. Thank you for a great stay and will be back at Blue Door very soon.

Lovely hostel, everybody smiling, helpful and kind. You can feel like that you are at home. They are all behaving like a family. Rooms, kitchen, toilets are always clean, you have own head light at the beds. Near to the City Center. They have a roof where you can watch sunset always.

I had a room at Blue Door in August, 2022. The room had six beds, but I was the only one there so the entire hostel was fairly quiet. I was there three nights and on day four, I had slept on my left side causing my clavicle (collar bone) to become sore. I made a passing comment that it was sore and the entire staff, whoever they were, demanded I see a doctor. So I was headed to a bakery and stopped by a doctor who checked it out and I was good to go. I returned with the results and then they "demanded" I go to a hospital (of their choice) for an x-ray and a second opinion, to which I became fairly direct with a firm "no". The staff and/or occupants had come together and said I go to the hospital or I would have to leave. It was an "effing" sore shoulder, the type everyone in the world has daily. Everyone at the Blue Door were very clique-ish and it was clear that they didn't want me there. I'm seventy-one, but pass for 50-55 easily. The remaining occupants were all under 30. But I was not going to get a second opinion after already seeing a doctor. This was an overt scam and someone had to have links to the hospital "of their hospital". Moreover, one night, a cute French girl made her way to my room and sat on the edge of my bed. She was "very" cute...for a few hours. So I don't know what's going on there, but it seemed very shady particularly after a night with the girl. My advice for the place is if you're 25-30ish, you're in. Not for anyone over thirty...unless it's your lucky day...or night that you're looking for. Because I was the only occupant of a six-bed room, they did not want to provide me the access to the air conditioner and they had no fans. They didn't want the AC on using it on "one person" as they said. That's their problem, not mine that they had low occupancy. Welcome to the world of business, Blue Door staff. There is a saying in the business world: "The customer is always right" a motto that falls on deaf ears at Blue Door. Dennis Tedder PS: I 'am" an effing doctor, you losers. Dennis Tedder

Cool Hostel and really friendly staff. Very easy to meet new people when you are traveling alone. The bathrooms (3) however are not very clean and one was always clogged and leaking so we only had two for everybody. The hostel was also very cold but we could ask for a second blanket. In around 15/20min you are in the city center which is great. The nana making breakfast in the morning is a sweetheart!!

This hostel is clean and great! The rooms are large, they have a large number of toilets and showers! The kitchen is very big and the living room is big with TV, stove for heat, an Albanian flag, etc. And for โ‚ฌ6 every night you can have dinner with other tourists, an Albanian-style dinner prepared by a super old lady (babuskha) in this place! ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡ฑ

Very friendly owners/volunteers. Quiet but social hostel - there were about 8-10 of us there, including the volunteers and it was a lovely little group. We all went to the casino one night and had a blast. This was No '22. The weather was still good and sitting on the roof terrace in the mornings was great.

It is very nice hostel if you are working remote and travelling. The common area and balcony are quite big. Owner and local employees have good recommendations about the area. Close to the old bazaar.

Super! This place is amazing and the atmosphere even more, it gives super positive vibes. The staff is very kind, they helped us with luggage and they also parked in our car. The rooms and the common areas are really clean and there is a nice balcony. The district is safe even by night and it's close to the city center. I really recommend it!!

I loved my stay here. Gino and all the volunteers were friendly and helpful. The hostel is located in prime location and within walking distance of Skanderbeg square, supermarkets, restaurants, Toptani, and more. The hostel is well-maintained with all the amenities in the shared spaces. The kitchen is spacious and you can cook food easily. The vibe is chill and I never felt out of place. The wifi is strong and the communal space is comfortable. I met interesting people, had great conversations, and enjoyed my time.
