Had a good experience here. This place has three dining. Garden restaurant, AC Room and the normal non AC hall. It's my first time here. We have ordered Plain briyani (115₹), Mutton sukka(186₹), BBQ Chicken ¼ (114₹) and sweet lime juice ( 48₹) I really liked briyani and BBQ Chicken. Sweet lime juice was watery. I didn't eat Mutton sukka but my parents said that it was average. Prices are in moderate range. What I mostly liked it here was service. Servers were kind and customer friendly. Good food, Good service.

Worst briyani in the world. Do not even enter this place! Pathetic service, cleanliness & food. They literally boil rice add colour stuff old meat and serve as biryani and You have to wait for an hour for this. Mutton chukka is just reheated piece from some mutton gravy. It was neither dry not was it eatable. Returned it immediately and asked to cancel the item as it was clearly an attempt to pass of old gravy as mutton chukka. They charge you extra for AC that they don't turn on! Chicken grill was dry and bony but was the decent item of the entire order. Paid around 1500 for these items after cancelling mutton chukka. All members of the table suffered acidity and upset stomach after this horrible experience! Do not enter this place if you value food , Money or your health.

Visited Hotel Raja Residency and Garden Restaurant for dinner with my wife and friend's family last month. Food was tasty but but the service is bordering on poor to pathetic. Poor waiting and order taking standards. I ordered egg masala and it was not cooked properly. Taste not all that great but price was ok. Water was not served even after asking for it multiple times. Ambience OK.. Had a disappointing experience. Will never visit again 🙄🤔

Located in Rockins Road. Very old and more than 50 years in business. Ample space for dining. A/C hall , non A/C hall and garden available for dining. Very good service. Huge list of varieties to select. Mutton soup is classic and must try. Actually lot of must try items .. notable ones are below Special parota Mutton Briyani Mutton soups Ginger tea Talcha Highly recommended. If you are in Trichy and passing through Trichy then try this hotel for lunch or dinner.

Idiyappam and tandoori chicken were tasty..However,by night 9pm barbeque chicken was not available The open space dining here is a marvelous experience...

Worst Hotel, they took more than 15 mins to just parcel a biriyani, inspite of telling them it's urgent. It was hardly 3 tables with 8 odd customers but they were incapable in running the restaurant. At last I have to throw the bill on them returned empty handed. There's no regrets visible on any of the person there including the cashier who was happy counting his days collections. It's a loss of 185 rs for trying this restaurant. 🤦‍♂️

I already ordered biryani and tandoori chicken, which tasted good. But mutton liver curry and fish fingers weren't good. In dine-in the parotta good, but the chicken gravy and chicken rice taste was good, but very less quantity off this price. So thought of visiting the garden restaurant where the outdoor garden holds lot's of potted plants, trees so overall ambience is good neat and hygienic. But if you enter from the front side of the road, they will make you sit in the entrance hall. You should not get into their words and move inside to the garden. If you enter through car parking, then you can directly get into the garden.

The tastes were very ok. Maybe the tastes were according to the standards of tamilians. Me being from andhra with the foods made with good spices and best tastes across india feel very bad. Still not very recommended restaurant, attend in case of emergency only. Thank me later😁

It's always my favourite biryani joint in Tiruchi whenever I cross the city, i make sure to visit here for biryani. Their garden ambiance at the back is good in the evenings to leisurely spend time. Though the place is known as Raja's Biryani, now they also serve and are popular for Arab styled dishes like alfaham chicken, grilled and tandoor chicken dishes.

Very worst experience today. We ordered food and waited for 30 mins.then the server gave only gravies and said main course is over and not available. We were forced to pay the bill today and came back for the uneaten food. Worst service. Also the server was scratching in his pants before serving. We came out with very bad experience today. Please do not go to this restaurant. Unhygienic behaviour and worst service by the restaurant. I don't recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Taste was good but customer service is worst,., we ordered mutton biryani and tandoori, atlast we ordered sathukudi juice, server didn't served it eve after 15 mins, so at the bill counter we asked to cancel it, but that man chased us and gave that juice to us near the bill counter and told us to drink., he told once ordered cannot be cancelled.. . For a juice we have to wait for more than 15 mins.. What a logic?? ? Plsimprove your customer service Edit. I don't remember the juice exactly.. That's why said orange juice.. And it's not convenience, it's inconvenience

They offer normal, a/c room and garden restaurant. Garden restaurant is amazing and feel free to eat. Children's also must enjoy here.

We ordered briyani, one of the bad briyanis... There is no aroma or taste...the server said mutton briyani is fresh and made just now, but the briyani isn't hot... It seemed like it was just heated (that too not fully) and the mutton pieces are too hard, normally briyani pieces will be so soft, but that's not the case here. Also we ordered grill, 65 and lemon chicken. Lemon chicken I don't know how the taste will be , chicken was so soft but I don't like the taste much. Grill was good with mayonnaise. Overall a bad experience.

A visit after a long time proved worthy since the dishes were not devoid of their consistency to attract the palate as were earlier. This is the reason for their remaining a reckonable non vegetarian restaurant even among many purportedly hyped new eateries of the same genre.

I have visited this hotel by seeing the positive reviews. I have ordered one chicken biryani here. The quality of the food is excellent but I am slightly disappointed by the quantity. The cost of the food is 170 but the number of chicken piece is only one. For this price range in Chennai you will get at least 3 pieces with egg. No egg is provided in the biryani. Otherwise the person who served food and the ambience is impressed me a lot. Families can visit this hotel without any hesitation. Neat and well maintained.

The briyani taste was very bad... I don't like this... The quantity of the briyani was more taste wise bad ... I like that chicken rice.

The food was strictly above average but can be tried once their pepper prawn fry was good but their biriyani was less in quantity but they had parking space for four wheelers and their idiyappam was delicious along with mutton fry.

About their wonderful biriyani everyone knows, so try their tandoori chicken. The 1st authentic tandoori chicken I've had in years. In recent times most restaurants are using the grill & not the traditional cley pot to prepare tandoori chicken, which is only half the story. The tandoori chicken I had in Raja biriyani was authentic.‼️😋

On 02.01.2023, my self took lunch in this hotel. I ordered Chapathi and Pepper Chicken Masala. When I tasted the masala, it was not bad. I finished my lunch with that. Just in 24 hours, I got vomiting and loose motion. When I treated in hospital, the doctor told it is due to previous day prepared chicken results in food poison. Till yesterday I was having a high opinion on this hotel. Now I decided not to go there again in my life.

Food: triedn egg fried rice and chicken BBQ. Both are well cooked up to the mark. Quantity of fried rice was good and much enough. Chicken BBQ piece was good enough. Price: Fried rice was price was good and low. Chicken BBQ price looks higher side for me. Service: is good quick no long waiting. its good. Atmosphere- they have inside and outdoor with garden area. they are good and pleasing. You can try others: lodge option there, near to tirchy railway station. hotel is recommended. for family and individual also.

In back side open area is available which is awesome and giving very good ambience, there is play area for kids and good seating available for families and also for bulk parties. Yesterday I went to this hotel! I ordered butter Nan and butter chicken masala! But they give me some other gravy! That gravy was so spicy! Usually Butter chicken masala have sweetness. That sweetness was missing and spicy too. I tell to server! This is not a Butter chicken masala! They start argue with me! After they collect my gravy to kitchen and add some butter! After they return that same gravy to me! After they adding butter it's give little sweetness! But the gravy have heavy spicy! I tell to him! They not accept it! Very worst behaviour of the server boy! No proper manners! Very worst! I am the regular customer to this hotel past 10 years. Every time I come I order butter naan and butter chicken masala only. So I know the taste. I like butter chicken masala in Raja hotel. In the Trichy no one have the taste like Raja hotel. But yesterday it gives very worst. I think they add some pepper powder I saw some pepper powder in that masala.

Not that much Tasty . Average taste . Mixed ambience.. moderate cleanliness.. not good for foodies .. barbeque styled chiken got too smokey ..

In need of modern decor and customer friendly staff. Food is Good, the garden area of the hotel needs to be reorganized and the place absolutely needs a proper parking space(the front entrance requires you to park in the road and the back entrance kind of blocks the walk way. I recommend only AC lounge for family as the normal area overlooks the road

Very bad stuff. Really upset with the food received just 20 mins back 1. Mutton Biryani - no masala and no flavour and very dry 2. Chicken Biryani - afternoon old biryani. No flavour or taste. Very dry. 3. Mutton chops kuruma - full of turmeric smell and no taste at all 4. Idiyappam normal kuruma - very bland Overall expected a good quality stuff from Hotel Raja. But very disappointed. They lost their old touch and food taste is pathetic

Food here is real good. Fried Rice, Parotta and Tandoori stands out. Rest are above average. Plan your dine in well over a weekend. Not much of an ambience but a good hotel environment and experience indeed.

I ordered a couple of items through Swiggy. The restaurant confirmed my order and after 40 minutes of waiting, they call me and say the items are not available, and we haven't confirmed the order yet. Had the worst experience and wasted nearly an hour waiting for the food. Advice to the restaurant : If you don't have something in the menu, remove it from the Swiggy menu or mark it as unavailable.

Today we ordered 1 mutton briyani & 2 mutton empty briyanis. As we were full after eating half the stuff, we asked the server to parcel our mutton empty briyani. But he "cleverly" parcelled chicken empty briyani instead of mutton. Worst worst worst experience ever. We have never ever even heard such a worst story in our life. Thanks for such an experience. You will definitely not withstand in this business for so long, if cheating customers is your strategy.
