Peaceful and pleasant place to visit. One of the oldest and unique rock formations in India. It is the first part of the tourist location, after which we can go to chakrateertham.

Good place for children's to take photos by siting near by rock. Temple at the end. Don't buy food items anything inside as it was not good and over costly. I bought small tender coconut for 50rs which is of no taste and thrown out. I recommend not to buy that. It's of free entry fee

Silathoranam Garden is a park and tourist attraction located in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. It is about 6.13 kilometers away from the Tirupati railway station. Natural Arch, Tirumala hills, a notified National Geo-heritage Monument,is a distinctive geological feature 1 km (0.6 mi) north of the Tirumala hills temple, near the Chakra Teertham in Tirupati district in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India. The arch is also called Silathoranam (శిలాతోరణం) in the local language (Telugu language: sila means ‘rock’ and thoranam means a garland strung over a threshold, connecting two vertical columns or an ‘arch’ as in this case). The arch measures 8 m (26.2 ft) in width and 3 m (9.8 ft) in height, and is naturally formed in the quartzites of Cuddapah Supergroup of Middle to Upper Proterozoic (1600 to 570 Ma) due to natural erosive forces. The Tirumala hills range is known to be the second oldest rock mountains considered to be over several million years old . The rock garden formed by Silathoranam is a natural rock formation in the form of an arch, near the Chakra Tirtham. its is worth a visit and and if one uses imagination one can visualize various animal/ bird forms among the rocks. All the reviews that one reads states that there are only three such rock arches. But that's not true. There are many such nature made wonders, It is a protected monument and one cannot go near it as the rock is cordoned off (which is a good thing otherwise many people have a tendency of carving the date of visit

Silathoranam Garden in Tirumala is a mesmerizing place that offers a unique blend of natural beauty and spiritual significance. The garden's main attraction is the natural rock formation resembling a gateway, known as Silathoranam, which is believed to be millions of years old. The tranquil ambiance and lush greenery make it an ideal spot for nature lovers and photographers. The well-maintained pathways allow visitors to explore the garden at their own pace and enjoy the panoramic views of the surrounding hills. The presence of a few seating areas provides a peaceful space for contemplation and relaxation. Whether you are a devotee or a tourist, Silathoranam Garden is a must-visit destination in Tirumala that will leave you awestruck with its natural marvel.

Natural Arch, Tirumala hills, a notified National Geo-heritage Monument, is a distinctive geological feature 1 km north of the Tirumala hills temple, near the Chakra Teertham in Tirupati district in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India. The arch is also called Silathoranam in the local language. The arch measures 8 m in width and 3 m in height. The arch resembles the hood of a Serpent, a Conch and a Discus. The Best time to visit the arch is between 6 A.M. and 8 A.M. There is a well maintained garden in front of the arch . Visiting Time: Monday to Sunday Morning 8AM to 6PM. How to Reach: The location of the arch is well connected by road, rail and air routes. The nearest railhead to Tirumala hills is Tirupati. By Rail: From Tirupati railway station the approach to the Tirumal temple is only by road, a distance of 19 km (11.8 mi). By Air: The nearest airport is located at Tirupathi, about 15 km (9.3 mi) away from Tirupati, which connects to Chennai, Hyderabad and bangalore airports. By Road: Regular bus services (both private and Govt. transport services operate) are operated by all the states bordering Andhra Pradesh. The approach road from the temple is wide and is an avenue of trees. Private vehicles are allowed to the location.

One of rarest marvelous work of nature . You can find a beam kind of stone in the form of thoranam suspended without any support. Surrounding has rock garden which is pleasent and graceful to watch the gift of nature. Backdrop is good for photoshoot . photos taken beyond 2pm are obstructed by sunlight. Just walking further leads to chakra tirtham where the sudrashna is sawyambhu. The way has stone step which is very slippery and the way is like a sanke and ladder. Aged people get exhausted while teens enjoying the pain and kids doing it with ease. Everyone becomes bahubali there by lifting a massive rock with two hands . Carrying Water, frooty and candy will be a added booster as a tender coconut cost Rs 90 each.. Enjoying dasa avatra idols of Vishnu and other gods in rock garden relaxes the pain of visiting chakra tirtham.

Best place to take kids and spend time. This place has a garden for kids to play. Carry an umbrella and caps as this place is wide open. It would be good if they add some trees and make it relaxing. Follow me at instagram for more beautiful pictures and travel information @shivu.mind 🙏🙏🙏

Nice place to visit and spend time with Nature. Should be taken up for more elaborated visitor facilities. Good place to spend time with Nature. Morning time at 7 to 8 and evening at 4 pm to 5 pm is best time to visit for Nature lovers. However, all day is also fun. Just simply nature, don't over expect.

The rating of 4 stars is subject to debate, as it could have easily been a 5-star rating if the cleanliness and ambiance were consistently well-maintained. Nonetheless, TTD has made noteworthy efforts in developing several impressive locations surrounding the temple, ensuring visitors have a memorable stay. One such example is the well-maintained garden of Silathoranam, which offers a delightful atmosphere and consistently meets expectations. For those who venture deeper into the area (approximately 500 steps), they can also visit Shakhu Chakra theertham and receive blessings from the priests while engaging in prayer.

It's one of my most most favourite places on Tirumala. In addition to the beautiful natural arc and the temple, it also gives you a view of the forest, windmills and the nature. It's a view of a lifetime. I never miss this whenever I go to Tirumala.

It is a natural stone arch, located just around 1.5 km from the Venkateswara Temple, this arch is naturally formed, archaeological wonder there are very few of these in the world. There is a small Shiva temple , Garden and Rock Garden developed & maintained by TTD which are beautiful. You can reach this place by walking from the temple.

This is a geological wonder one of its kind in India and a few others in other countries like China and USA. It's a very ancient rock formation dated back several hundreds of millions of years. This is in the form of Arch that has stood challenging the weather, storm etc since millions of years. Around this arch there are several other rock formations.

A delight to see this natural wonder. Even more wonderful is to see how the entire area has been preserved, and maintained so well. Very pleasant visit. Inside the campus is a lovely waterfall on the way to the temple on the premises. A very nice morning spent there. Takes a couple of hours.

Great place for nature lovers. Quite and clean, well-maintained place. Also there is a very old. shiva temple in a walkable distance. The path to siva temple is not smooth it will be challenging for elderly people but I am sure young kids will enjoy this small trucking.
