Dear friends, Myself order a 1kg halwa through the website link given above. I received a 1kg halwa after 4days.But the sellers addres was different I don't know weather I got the real one, what I received is untolerable sweety and ghee pured halwa .very difficult to eat just 10gm ,also I have doubt that they used buffallow milk ghee insted of cow milk ghee the aroma came out from halwa is buffallow milk ghee.

To be honest I'm not sure what to rate this place. It was way too crowded and I literally had to fight my way to the counter only to be addressed very rudely by the cash collector but I guess all of that is to be expected here. The consolation to all of this is the Halwa itself. Definitely worth the claim to fame!

Real place to taste halwa of Tirunelveli, it melts in ur mouth. Heavny taste. Opens 5.30 pm to late night. No name board display, its just a shop which painted with blue color. Which is quite opposite to temple main entrance side by hotel nellai. There is story behind the shop name, they made halwa in day time and sell the halwa after sunset. Very long queue for halwa som time crowdy tooo.

The shop that's buzzing with people and is crowded always is the original Irutu Kadai. They close by 7.30 to 8 finishing everything sold out. Small shop and very difficult to identify since shop will have no name board or hoardings. Taste is divine and they don't have any other varieties in shop apart from Ghee Halwa. Just Ghee Halwa and thats there dish. Start a with half kg minimum and priced at Rs 200 got a kilo. You can get sample ghee Halwa a scoop for Rs 20. If it's Thirunelveli it should be Irutu Kada Halwa. Landmark is koilvasal stop.

We ordered Pizza and Bhel Puri. After eating pizza my 11 year old daughter got fever, vomitting and loose stools. She was admitted at hospital for 4 days. Don't ever try this bakery. Be aware..it's scary for kids.

The best THIRUNELVELI HALWA Shop. Small shop but unmatchable tasty halwa. It works daily from 5.00pm to 8.00pm only. You have to stand in queue to buy halwa here. And the queue starts at 4.00pm itself. If get late you may miss the halwa. You can buy packets of 0.5 kg each and in any number but you should buy it in one go. Just go and enjoy the halwa there. It's worth the wait.
