Additionally best place for photo shoot. low tide in some areas but swim carefully because any time there will be high tide. if you want peace definitely come and sit and enjoy the view. it will be create good memories. Long way to walk around. But we can spend more time in beach in private resort area. Out the resort we can spend as much time we want. Try to be here for the sunrise. After 8am it will be hot. Sunrise is amazing view with cold breeze's.

Nice beach and views 😍 but maintenance is not good!😶 not satisfied with! The whole fish market is in the beach..all wastes are thrown into the beach! Not suitable to walk on the shore or to swim.. sunrise is great.. the waves were high🌊🌊💥

It is small beach where u can find the fresh fishes brought directly from the small boats by fishermen. Its not too crowded during weekdays but busy in weekends. You can find good fishes in cheaper rates at affordable price compared to wholesale fish markets.

This is the first time we visited this beach... Actually we reached there around 12 noon... Climate was supporting us to walk on the shore.... Couple of peoples were enjoying their surfing activities... Many peoples were there by then and probably would get crowded in the evening... Though the beach tide was enjoyable standing on the rock, the way towards the beach from the parking is not clean and tidy... I would say just okay place to visit...

Every time I visit I feel the sea is coming closer to the shore. Unfortunately it's not maintained by concern authorities and request they should look into the foul smell spreading. They can make more people visit if they clean the beach and place dustbins.

Expected a lot from the world famous Chennai Kovalam Beach. ⛱️🏖️🐚🦀⛱️Except for the large coastline and some boats 🛶🛶🛶🛶here and there,the beach holds very less beauty, and is very unclean too. It is filled with stray dogs, 🐕🐶🐄🐮🐮 cows etc and their excrement. The beach extends a long way,and the walk is horrible. Moreover there is nothing creative done here to attract tourists. The sunrays are soo horrible in the daytime,that you can visit the place only in the evening. Wished that the beach could have a little bit more of a maintenance . Very bad experience.😏😏😏😏😏

One of the busiest beaches where you can see boats waving and sailing forth back after fishing. You can always get some fresh Crab Prawns etc and some rare fishes too that you can't get anywhere. You can always get fresh fish at anytime. All the boats are lined up and that makes the beautiful view that keeps stress and depression away. Sea Food lovers can get vareity of fried fish from the nearby eateries but make sure you don't have a stomach ache 😂. Overall nice place to buy some fresh Sea Foods and Enjoy the weekend with your loved ones 😍.

I love beaches so that's why we decided to go for the beach 🏖️. This is the first time we visited this beach... We reached there around 2pm... Climate was supporting us to walk on the shore.... Visited on sunday morning, people came here to buy fresh fish... first time I visited in morning saw different type of fishes. Though it was not so much crowded but still felt like somewhat uncomfortable... other than beach is a beach.... wide open place where marriage of sand & sea happens... and the emergence of blue sky in the farthest distance.... always a moment of joy and inner peace .......

Very poorly maintained beach. Kovalam Beach is known by many people but what I seen today is in very bad condition. I attached the videos and pics. This issue is mainly due to no dustbins in and around beaches. So public after eating, throwing the plastics and papers in the same beach. Shops also need to keep the dustbins in their respective areas. Today I came to know by I went to clean the beach activities with the NGO. We collected plastic items to avoid entry into beaches. Corporation should start take action for the preventive actions.

Fishes are sold on the boat at one side. Water is mixed with fish waste. The public toilet charges ₹10 (day thieves) for the urinal. Too crowded. Will be a good beach if steps are taken to have good parking space. Thanks

It's a beautiful beach, it's wide and a little clean. There is a beautiful temple on the beach. I visited during the village festival, it was very good. Few shops and restaurants are available nearby so be prepared for it.

The beach is not that much crowded as like marina. I usually like to go here for sunrise. A small bike ride to here and choose a spot to settle myself with my earphones and just watch the sun rise with the waves coming to and fro. A releif I could get here.

Jus awesome. Pure bliss. Take the left that goes to Fisherman's cove. Straight down the road is kovalam beach. This is a better route than the traditional one at the junction. Apt for Sunrise and Sunset. Had a great time today. Peaceful and the sound of the gushing waves is jus out of the world. Wish it is kept clean. Could see garbage around the beach. Liquor bottles near the shore is a pathetic scene. Wish people are more responsible and have some civic sense. Highly recommended beach. 🌅🌄🌅🌄

One of the shallow beaches in Chennai . Even kids can confidently get into the water and play. Fish cleaning happens on the beach itself and so most of the time it stinks and a lot of crows come to eat the remains. Some of the areas are very stinky. Dead fishes float on the beaches. Good parking facility. If it is clean, this will be one of the best beaches in the world .
