Except the location of property near beach nothing else is attractive to enjoy. I wonder how other people gave 5 star in review. Price they charge is not worth for food and accommodation. Rooms were dusty and flies in the rooms which is not hygienic. Ac not working properly. No manpower to attend customer grievance. Welcome drink was given 30 % coco cola diluted with 70 % water and they were naming it ice tea. Beach also looks very risky. overpriced.

The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, providing a comfortable and relaxing environment. The resort amenities were top-notch, from the pool to the spa to the dining options. I especially enjoyed the delicious meals served at the on-site restaurant. Apart from being a beach front property this place has nothing so special to offer.. Even the beach is little unsafe on their side.. Overly priced.. Customer satisfaction poor.. They even charge you for extra tea bags in room, which I find absurd at a 4 star.. Worst of all they don’t even provide bottled water in room , only RO water.. We paid Rs30000 for 2 suits for 2 nights. They charge you a bomb and give you peanuts.. I mean a 2 star would provide you with a better satisfaction than this.. If you have booked here then please be ready for some disappointments!!! Purely money saving business is run here!! All the best and hope this review saves you’ll some money..

Thank you for the wonderful stay we had. If you want to choose a blend of craziness and calm breeze over a weekend, this resort does justice. Well maintained with beautiful ecosystem. We had a warm welcome by our event organizer Mr. Jay. He made us feel comfy by hosting the activities along with our family tribe. Such a lively person and knows how to keep up the moments throughout the activity. Wish you a great success in your endeavours.

We went for a family get-together at the Sea Crest restaurant by the beach. Food was good. We went on a weekend. So, it was a buffet menu. Good spread , both veg and non-veg. Taste was OK. Good ambience. Nice spots for taking pictures. Evening sea breeze was awesome. Only thing is, we could not access the beach as it was closed due to rough conditions as well as presence of poisonous jellyfish in the waters.

A family resort, very close to the sea Has the cottage concept.. Service : The workers are many and often laid back in work.. Not very actively resolving the trouble.. I had to wait for long almost 30 minutes outside my room to get my luggage delivered and my key to enter I side... Beach : Calm beach.. Although was littered due to the recent cyclone. Accessibility : although widespread over a large area.. Has buggies to travel to the rooms.. Has wheel chair accessible rooms and washrooms. Food is good.. They also have open dinning areas besides the canal.. Under open sky and trees.. Fun: Have hammocks to enjoy a serene nap in the tuff of coconut trees..

Overall the resort was very aesthetic and pretty, however they could do better with the rooms since they are a little old now. The service and food was food good too but one turnoff point was when you are asked to eat in your room on the weekends If you do not take up the buffet which is mandatorily required to be taken up in order to eat at their restaurant.

Feeling bit unlucky and disappointed. The room allocated to me initially needs a lot of repair. Dirty bath tub, wall peeling off, faulty switches etc. I appreciate the support from staff. They acknowledged the problem and tried to get me a different room. That's when fate tried to play with me. There was a wedding event that day and most of the rooms were booked. So I have to settle with something better than my first room. The swimming pool was closed. Other facilities were open. The ocean made up for all the pitfalls. You can feel the sea breeze every nook and corner of the facility. I had a very memorable experience having my food at the sea crest restaurant just by the seaside in this property.

Starting with the check-in, it was smooth. Room allocation: we were disappointed by the room allocated, room was in good shape but there was a pillar inside where the door opened in the room, restricting the space. Also kar time i visited we had a bath tub but this room was very small and the bathroom didn't have any bath tub. Service: Room service took its own time, we got what we ordered. The complimentary lotion was nearer to its expiry of 3 years and was pale yellow. Activity: My kid enjoyed the swimming pool and indoor games. But the pool needs maintenance, cleaning and a size increase. Beach: Beach was closed due erosion and high tide 🌊 Food : Breakfast was not at par, I had better food earlier last year at the same place. Staff : Staff was very good and they guided where required.

I've visited here for our team lunch. They had a veg/ non-veg buffet with only 6/7 varieties in each ( felt it's not worth to pay 1600-1800/head for a lunch) Comparatively veg food was good than the non veg. We didn't even get the ICE water in hot climate. But this is a good environment to play at evening.

I stayed here for a corporate meet. The rooms are very dirty. The property is not maintained properly. Felt the stay like an underrated lodge. Windows and doors are rusted. The floors are sticky. The washroom toilet basin and wash basin are very old, a lot of stains. The furniture cot bed and sofa has to be maintained a lot. The restaurant ambience is good. And the food is good. Morning breakfast with a sea view is a feel good one.

One of the best resorts in Chennai. The view and the location are just amazing 🤩 I especially like the sea view in front of the dining, and their services are also good and satisfied 😊. This place is very nice and neat.. I visited this place two years before for celebrating office day function. My team experienced very good feeling. We enjoyed lot. The rooms are clean and well maintained. It's spacies room and looks innovated. Food is Good. We spend time to playing games, here available play court for that. Then we enjoyed swimming. It's very clean. Totally it's awesome experience.

The sit out and evening breeze and view were amazing. There was an engagement ceremony when we went, the decorations and other arrangements were amazing and extraordinary. We enjoyed well watching the events. There was a boat decorated with lights that attracted the crowd amidst other special lightning.

Good stay, lot of parking facilities. Dine at sea view. The kids can enjoy fun activities, swimming pool etc... For dinner during the weekend you can expect good food and varieties. During weekdays only a few varieties. The cost of dinner seems to be costly. But the quality wise no need to compromise. Good stay.

We had our TGIF here. Food is excellent. Service was also good enough. Only thing which bothered me was the presence of large airplane parts near the playing area. That possessed a great threat of injury to anyone playing in the volleyball area.

Been there last week with my parents . Writing this review especially for this young chap named Mr Ritam . He gave us a homely feel , he was there anytime we needed for any kind of assistance. He was so energetic and enthusiastic and had such a jovial attitude while showing around the property! We felt good , had a wonderful stay and looking forward to visit soon . The food was delicious .

Very good stay. Rooms are neat and clean. Room Tariff are reasonable. Services of all staff highly appreciable, especially Mr. John at Front Desk who helped us a lot. He is very soft spoken and answered our complicated queries with a smile. He treated us very well. Hightly recommended.

The reception was not able to handle a hand full of customers and on top, they had a confusion about my room. I had booked for a sea view cottage. I had to wait 2 hours for their confusion to settle down and get into my cottage. All the view I had was another cottage, there were no sea view cottage. The bathroom was clean, but a mess in design. They did not have a lengthy curtain for the shower tub and water was all over the place and it did not drain. My vacation and money wasted. I will never visit this place nor recommend. It should never be a 4 star resort, may be a 2 star.

We have been visited for day out. The given hall was very nice atmosphere. Good sound system., and very good air condition. The food was very taste and prepared at the right time. Over all experience is very good. We will plan for night stay.

This used to be the only & best resort in ECR road and used to visit frequently during my college time, 7-8 years before. Very sad to see the resort has zero standards now. The staff is poorly trained or hospitable. Nearly half of the property vanished due to sea intrusion. Food is definitely overpriced & not worth it. The pool guard was very rude to the guest despite poor maintenance of the pool itself- no filteration also.The worst was when I went with my family to the restaurant for evening snacks, they waiter had refused to let us sit in the open restaurant seating and had told they will serve only if we sit in the bar even after seeing my 3 yr old nephew and ladies in the group. Pros- they gave a room upgrade but the AC was in poor working condition. The view was great if you get near the beach. So in conclusion, worst place to go with family but if you choose to have a bachelor just drink party on beach, go for it. But also note drinks are overpriced.

Would definitely recommend to book the rooms with breakfast as the spread is really expansive and not just limited to Indian dishes. You could have a very nice stroll along the beach shore. We booked a cake in the restaurant for a birthday party and the manager was courteous enough to accommodate us near a beach backdrop to accompany the celebration. Incredible to see sunrise in the private beach they had. Overall it was worth it to spend a relaxing weekend with family.

We stayed just for a weekend. Nice place, food and accommodation quite good. The guard at the beach was over cautious, not allowing people to sit on the sand even above the hightide mark. Sea at this point is very rough, so can't safely wade beyond ankle depth, unlike at other places like Neelankarai, Ideal Beach, or Covelong beach. The swimming pool is still closed. Breakfast buffet was good, but the serving staff were quite unhelpful. The overall experience was pleasant. Will definitely consider a short stay again.

Rooms are small and service is hopeless, the Sea Crest restaurant food is very poor, the dinner buffet is very expensive relative to that food quality and quantity. Only Room service dining is good in this resort! Having said so, the resort location and it's ambience is very good and as is located right next to a beautiful beach which is very clean and well maintained. There is a huge amusement park right in front of the resort which is slightly expensive but the rides are good.

We booked for one day stay for weekend leisure time and spent lovely time. Instead of booking online, I called them and reserved a " double club room" . They provided discount as well. Pros: 1.Resort management is friendly. Room service is fast and neat. 2. Rooms are very neat and bathrooms are clean 3. Beach is walkable distance from rooms and restaurant. 4. They provide indoor and outdoor games like table tennis, carom board , chess, kids play station, badminton, cricket bat etc to play 5. At evening, they conducted wonderful entertaining fun games.. which enjoyable by family and kids. Resort makes your family fun filling. 6. Morning breakfast buffet is really tasty and fulfilling with dining view of sea. Cons: 1. They say deluxe and club rooms are same almost. But club rooms are different and more spacious than deluxe 2. Only breakfast was complimentary. Although food was tasty and good in quality, food cost is too too... High.. May be 5 star restaurant price will be cheaper than this. 3. They say outside food is not allowed. So you are forced to order food in restaurant inside resort. So be prepared for that. Thanks MGM resorts for providing wonderful time.

Excellent beach side location. Sprawling property with ample parking and buggy for internal transport. However, some rooms are well appointed while others are in need of serious maintenance. Staff was polite and served with a smile. Did not eat there, so cannot review the food. Good restaurants in the vicinity if one needs to eat out.

First and foremost, the location of MGM Beach Resort is simply breathtaking. The gentle sound of crashing waves and the refreshing sea breeze create a soothing ambiance, perfect for relaxation and rejuvenation.

They have an excellent property but really need to pay attention to upkeep and maintenance of their rooms becoz of more bad smell , needs to improve food options and food quality no taste at all and the cleanliness of their private beach. More Beer bottle pieces were in beach side kids and family should be careful in beach side. House keeping responses not good. Not a worthy to visit.

This review is purely based on the management. Gone are the days when MGM focused on customer. I have been coming to MGM since a few years and I was amazed at the hospitality. Mr.Asif (manager) was always my go-to-person and would always offer great deals and was extremely courteous. Now he has left and the new management is not bothered about old customers. They are charging you higher than what it reflects on their own website and telling us they are giving the best price. It's nothing but cheating. Am very much aware of dynamic pricing but it doesn't change within few minutes of manager quoting price as 13K+ taxes for sea view cottage and 15k+taxes for suite room. But when I go and check website the price for suite room is only 11900+taxes. I finally decided to directly book from website but now I am feeling skeptical and sad about my upcoming visit. I recommend everyone to first check their website before talking to management for deals.

I booked a deluxe room to stay for a day with my family. It was an ultimate experience. It has enormous space and is very beautiful. Closer access to the bay of bengal (beach), swimming pool, games and activities room for both kids and adults, so many hammocks across the place to enjoy the nature and cool sea breeze and more. Rooms are clean and well equipped. Room services are super cool and all the resort people are prompt and responsive. From my view it's a go-to-place for rejuvenate and recharge before you resume to your machine life from the holidays.

I have visited mgm beach resorts as a part of my office's engagement activity. The amenities, games and other activities were all good. The problem was with the toilets. We were more than 20 in number and everyone faced the same issue. The toilet sink didn't drain well. The basin sink didn't drain well too. Even after 5 to 6 flushes it's not drain, we waiting for long to use toilet one by one, it did the same way. I personally believe that this is a very important part of personal hygiene. It was supposed to be a very fun part. But it actually was very stressing. Please please please book your rooms only after checking these amenity. It turned out to a terrible experience.

We had a team outing in MGM beach resort for around 275 members. The place was very good and the hospitality was excellent. Would like to thank and appreciate valli and team for making the event smooth and successful.

We had our college Reunion at this resort. We were excited by meeting our friends, so didn't pay much details abt the resort amenities and so. First thing - the resort is located far away from the airport. So reaching there will take sometime. Once there we enter thru a narrow lane to reach the reception. Check-in - Since we made a bulk booking, it was crowded at the front desk. It definitely took sometime for us to get the rooms, though there were 4/5 staffs. (Welcome drink was provided) Property - is vast with rooms far away from the reception. We have to take a battery operated buggy to reach the rooms. (Again there was waiting time) Rooms - We booked the Park view rooms. Room was ok with an extra bed on the floor. Open the glass door to reach the lawn behind. Since it was raining we were not able to sit outside much. Toilet was clean with running hot water. They do provide toiletries and fresh towels. Lawn - The property has a huge lawn. Party hall - we had the entertainment at the party hall with In house MC and DJ. Food was provided outside the hall with the selected menu. Taste was OK. Restaurant - Breakfast was provided at the restaurant, which had a good variety. Taste was good compared to the food provided at the hall. Service - Staffs were courteous and were helpful. Five stars to them. Finally it was a memorable day for us. The property is ideal for large gatherings and get togethers. Tats why so many reunions are happening there. Kudos to everyone 👏 👏💐

The hotel offers great hospitality and all staffs are very caring and diligent in their duties from reception to manager to restaurant staff, house keeping and life guard staff. There was a minor issue which was promptly addressed much beyond our satisfaction by the Manager, Mr. Kaushik. The open air sea side restaurant is a great place to enjoy evening dinner and is a major attraction of the resort. Souvik provided great service while serving dinner to us.

The room was okay but it had moldy toilet paper on the counter. The breakfast was good. When we left our room to go swimming when we came back our money was stollen from the wallet we left in the room. For 10,000 per night. I'm disappointed

Good resort but not a right time for visit. Rooms are decent. You don't have access to swimming pool due to covid. You can't get into beach because there is higher amount of jelly fish in that private beach. Food was ok. Free breakfast is part of package when you book and the only nonveg you get is egg ( if it is considered nonveg). Lot of improvement has to be done

Organized our office offsite at MGM Beach resort for a day. We had a 100 strong crowd and booked the largest lawn. No complaints from any of our employees and the service was good.

Worth to visit this resort. Food is awesome. Cherry on the cake are the duo singers in the open area space. Just loved their singing and lovely gesture, always. Definitely, will look ahead to plan more outings in the same place. 🙂

Its a nice resort with good ambiance. The staffs are very polite. Beach is well maintained. Swimming is not working because of covid regulations. Morning breakfast was nice with good number of varities. If u order in alacarte the price is very high. Few rooms of same category is having bathtub attached and few rooms have only mirror bathroom. Overall a good stay. Can enjoy a weekend at this resort.

Amazing resort. A large and beautiful place to have some good time with friends, colleagues and family. It's perfect spot for a one day trip. Lunch is good and liquor is not included in the lunch menu. But overall it was an awesome experience. Absolutely loved it to the core.

We were jointly cheated by both Agoda and MGM. We just checked in today in Room no.211 and the receptionist said breakfast is not included. I requested the managers , is there any provision to include the breakfast. It almost became an argument, they said it would cost Rs.600/- per head for breakfast and with a tone take it or leave it. I just replied them back that we are not coming to stay to have FREE breakfast. Then they said they will give 15% discount for the food we order as a great favour. My family is shocked by the response of the managers and surprisingly the room too small for 3 adults and for which they are charging 6200/- without breakfast.. We are not going to have even the free drinking water bottles provided by them and going to have dinner and breakfast outside. Think twice before you book a room in MGM Beach resort.

The place is very beautiful and nice. It's a place to enjoy for both children to old people. At a single stretch to see the beautiful garden to blue sea with dancing webs string their heads on the shore. It's really wonderful to see the sea sitting in the resturant with your favourite food. But we feel the food is little costly. It's expected a package to be provided including food with a reasonable price. Then I am sure it'll be the best favourite place to come randomly.

Nice place, good food. Location is just on the edge of the sea, so close that part of external patio was taken away. One star less as food is only served up to 4pm and after 7pm. Had to wait 2 &1/2 h to get food served 😜. Really recommend to visit.

True to its brand it's a vast resort with many green lawns and gardens. It's a great choice for a photoshoot, as there many picturesque locations. Battery car service was provided for transit which was helpful. The food served was good with more than enough quantity, but pricey. The beach could be kept more clean. It was a good stay.

The place has gone bad over the months. And the very recent rains haven't helped. Half the restaurant- Sea Cliff has been swallowed by the sea n for a old timer it was a sad state of affairs. The food n management too has deteriorated. The fact remains that establishments are trying to come out of the lockdown n ramp up Businesses but I think this one has missed a trick and has unfortunately not worked to get back the footfalls / clientele, going by the upkeep and state of the resort overall.

Stayed there for two night! Pros: The resort is well maintained. Rooms are decent. They have a private beach. Cons: -For this rooms it's very overpriced. -Staff is ignorant. Cutlery plated at the buffet place are not washed and maintained properly. I complaint for two days no one seem to care about it. Their was no hot water, even after complaint no one attended.

Had gone for a day out at the beach and for the restaurant food for lunch. It was a get together for the entire family. Food was excellent. Enjoyed thoroughly. Staff very courteous. Didn't stay in the resort. But should be good and comfortable the way the cottages look.

Visited the resort for team outing. Ambience was good. Big space, larger shore area compared to other beach resorts in ECR. But the problem is the taste of the food. Out of 30-35 varieties of dishes, only 5-7 are worth and tasty. Others are there for like name sake.

Booked for engagement function. Excellent location, unfortunately unable to conduct it in lawn beside beach due to possibility of rain. However, excellent arrangements were done at banquet hall. 2 No.s Buffett counters were arranged, one indoor and one outdoor. Special thanks to Mr. Ravi Kumar from banquets, coordinated and arranged everything in a very good and professional manner. Food is excellent. Family, friends and all guests were very much satisfied with everything.

The rooms were okayish however we did find cockroach and the cleanliness was poor. The property is old and truly needs a revamp Still staying in the resort and decided to write it from here mainly coz of the staff. They truly need better training. The kids have very few things to do most of the things in the activity room and play area were broken.My kid was on the piano and I was sitting right beside him and he came and was rude saying that's not the way you play it(he's 4) and when confronted he was not even a staff from the kids activity room. We were told the beach is open from 7 am to 10pm so we were using the beach at 10 am when suddenly a life guard said 'Po ma po ma ' meaning get moving get moving . Asked him what the issue was and he then said theres some cyclone warning in Andhra.Agreed they need to take precautions bt they call themselves 4 star property wish they had some staffs who knew how to talk to guests . Swimming pool not open,beach not accessible ,no proper activities wonder how they expect people to while away the time Food was average.Cleanliness overall was below average and lots of stray dogs in the property and it was unsafe to let kids out and take walks in the evenings .

It's a good place to chill. Facilities are awesome. Lodging place is also good. Beach area is not that clean. Lot of plastic in my opinion that too on a private beach...

The resort, as a whole, was very good though It had few drawbacks (e.g: we had booked a family suite for 4 adults but the room given had only bed and we had to ask for extra bed which was laod out on the floor). Food was good. Pool and beach was great. Having an amusement park next door is a plus to spend an extra day.

In the past this hotel was actually good I had stayed here a lot of times, over the years the standard of the hotel has gone down. I wouldn't recommend this for any big standard events at the moment. The breakfast and lunch which we had there was not good. Absolutely no taste in any of the food. In fact I had to take my family out for a good dinner. The property needs a good renovation work to improve the ambience. In fact I booked a suite room paying a huge sum of money , when I arrived I was disappointed to see the size. In fact it was in the size of a standard deluxe rooms in hotels. And the rooms were not clean to up to the mark and had safety hazards such as the toilets, which may not be suitable for old people. On top they had only one battery car for taking people from the suite which was far away from the main reception. Hopefully a good renovation work and improvement of the restaurant will help improve the hotel reputation.

Beach not much clean and unsafe to swim because of steep slopes that is common with all beaches along ecr but grassed playground and park next to beach are well maintained.. Food in sea crest restaurant was delicious with lot of choices in both veg and non vegs

Pathetic no customer service only gold digger. Never visit on weekends they will not allow u eat beach side. Will ask you to buy only buffet for high money. You can get many other better resort at the same cost. Don't repeat the same mistake as us....

They have an excellent property. Really well thought of landscapes. But really need to pay attention to upkeep and maintenance of their rooms, food options and food quality and the cleanliness of their private beach. It has the potential to be a 4* property at least if efforts are put in.

Very nice place to visit... Extremely big area. Make sure you check multiple rooms... Because some rooms come with a good view and have more space too. Food is a bit on the higher side... But good tasting food. Friendly staff. I went for a friends wedding by the beach and just enjoyed the place except the weather.

The resort is located at a very pleasant place.Their private beach is awesome and has been maintained good. We had chosen Club rooms which cost us around Rs.8000 and we were totally disappointed when we checked in.The room had a weird smell.When we switched on the tv we could see only the free channels.When we called the front desk about the same,they said they couldn't help in this matter.The bathrooms were average and could have been maintained better.Overall a bad staying experience indoors.But the resort itself is beautiful and has good lakes and ponds inside. The dinner menu is average.No special items.And they serve only paneer and dal as side dish. The morning breakfast is good.But the coffee could have been hotter. Overall if u book the club suite like is,u would end up disappointed about the rooms for such a high cost

Good spot to spend your weekends.Beach view and restaurant is wheelchair accessible. We went on motorised wheelchair hence it was accessible.not sure about the resorts.

Spacious rooms. Well maintained. On the beach. Staff are helpful. Mosquitoes present. Food is palatable

More or less a decent place to hand out Esply during these covid times incase u wanna avoid crowded places. Food is good but bit expensive. But ambience s lovely.

Nice independent rooms for stay with a balcony. A private beach to walk to even at night. Rooms are good. Golf carts available to go to the rooms. Went for a wedding here. Nice AV hall for that.

Not a good experience right from entering the room allotted. Telephone was not working. Wifi did not work. Instead was given a Dongle to use. Dongle worked for only 5 min and stopped and then started again. This happened through the evening. Got fed up and stopped complaining. TV not working. Bath tub very dirty. Ultimately had to change room the next day. Poorly managed by by the Operations head. The food in the restaurant was good. Rest all was rubbish. Absolutely 3rd class resort and also while checking out also had to wait for the buggy for 20 to 25 min and call several times. Initially was allotted 506 room and then changed to 605. Will never enter MGM resort again and would not recommend to others.
