This cafe is famous across the country for its surreal-looking food and big portion. The strawberry-flavored whip cream pasta is gross, is big portion, and gross. Good for people who want to challenge their possibilities. By the way, I ordered "happy meal for adults", and it had almost 2 pounds of food. I spent 1 hour finishing it.

Excellent price for value. The menu offer a huge selection of quirky dishes mainly based on rice or "pastas". Even though the restaurant is famous for its amazing "melon wiped cream spaghetti" or "choco-banana pasta" and bigger than Everest Parfait, my favorites are the "1 coin" (¥500) menu.

The quality of the food wasn't the greatest, but the menu is imaginative and novel, the staff and other customers are super friendly, and the atmosphere is so charming if you enjoy classic Japanese kissaten vibes.

This place was an institution among Nagoya University exchange students. Their strange sweet spaghetti varieties are worth trying once, but don't make the mistake we did and neglect to order anything else. I have a sweet tooth, but the food was cloying by the end. Everyone else seemed to be eating normal food, and it looked great in comparison.

Nagoya is known for restaurants with big rations and Mountain combines that with a highly experimental cuisine that might not be for everyone. While it looks like an alpine house from the outside, the inside is more reminiscent of a Mexican house; indeed, you will find some authentic Latin-inspired items, such as the cactus (nopal) rice. But this is also the place to try (if you dare) even more outrageous combinations. Apart from the rice mentioned and a curry plate, we tried sweet pasta with green tea sauce and a tomato parfait. Surprisingly good! Come here with very hungry friends with an adventurous palate.

Mountain is a quaint cafe in a rather suburban area. They are famous for serving all manner of seemingly strange pasta like Strawberry, Melon, or Kiwi spaghetti, but they also have a large menu offering more traditional cafe fare. Of course, I came here to try something unique, so I opted for their Apple Spaghetti for 1000¥ along with their Strong Coffee at 400¥. My expectation: savory, sweet, and strange. What came before me was this beautiful pasta with bits of apple and pineapple, whipped cream, and a cherry on top, dusted with cinnamon. The first bite was puzzling, since it had an initial smell of sweetness coupled with a chewy pasta texture, followed by tart fruit flavor, and finished with a hint of saltiness. I didn’t know what to make of it, but after the successive bites, I was in love. It tasted like an amazing apple cobbler with the sweet flavors of apple and cinnamon, as long as I could get over the weirdness of having dessert pasta. The creaminess from the whip only added layers of flavor. As for the coffee, it was very, very strong as advertised. It was a bit thick and very black. I definitely recommend the visit here if you’re open to trying something deliciously unique.

Wide selection of food, huge portions for Japan, but price is reasonable

I am eating "Italian Spaghetti". Yea. They literally named it "Italian". That alone tells you how absurd the food is. The decor, oh the decor. So you are eating Japanized Italian food in a Germanic Mansion. Whipped cream on your spaghetti. What even is the line anymore. The only plus thing is the absolute dominating portion. So if you are starving, a just go there and order a "mere 400" yen ice cream desert 🤣🤣🤣

Curry was pretty tastey. Staff were friendly. Iced coffee tasted strange and watered down.

I ordered a spaghetti meal but it was too much for me. Nevertheless, it was very good ! They have a lot of mysterious recipee so don't hesitate to look at other clients' plate.
