My husband and I stopped by Carnales after searching Google for authentic tacos within our radius. The taqueria is located conveniently near 75 and down the street from Lagrange Library. They have no indoor seating but provide picnic tables with umbrellas outside. You place your order at the window. I was impressed 100% when placing my order with the employee as I could hear Mexican music playing inside and employees communicating in Spanish. I knew at that moment this was going to be a very authentic experience. I placed an order of 4 street tacos with carnitas. My husband requested Birria Torta but unfortunately they were sold out so he ordered the chicken quesadilla instead. He inhaled his meal before I was able to capture a photo but gave a big thumbs up with a mouth full of food. We also ordered their house made guacamole and queso dip which did not disappoint. From my experience with my street taco meal, the side salsas they provided with my tacos were definitely made in house fresh. I enjoyed my avocado salsa verde with a hit of the red hot sauce shown in picture. It was just enough spice kick for me. I ended my meal with a chilled Jarrito of Pineapple. We give this place 100% 10/5 stars for their excellent authentic food, fresh quality ingredients, fast service (forgot to mention we waited less than 10 mins for our food order), price of food was reasonable and most importantly I appreciated the guy at window would periodically open to check on us. Seriouslyyyyy salivating about the menu while writing this review. My next visit I will definitely be ordering the birria quesadillas with caldo. I will keep you all posted with more pictures and review from my future visits to this taqueria. Ps. Carnales, you need to sell merchandise! I would respectfully represent and help advertise. Please stay away from 100% cotton and go with a tri blend. They are more flattering fit for women who love to eat tacos! Update: 6/5/22 we went back the day after with my parents and they as well said this was the most authentic Mexican tacos they have had since being home down South. This time I grabbed 2 quesadillas of birria with the caldo and man oh man it was excellent. Hands down their salsas Carnales provides with their tacos is the talk of our table as well. On the other hand, I did hear a bit of hesitation on the lengua tacos and my parents wished it would have had more meat and been chopped up lengua vs sliced thinly. When ordering the Coca Cola instead of the jarrito I assumed it would be the Mexican coke with real sugar cane but was given a coke can. These are just minor observations that don’t change my mind on my rating or authenticity of this taqueria. This is my authentic stop for tacos and while we were there I heard a customer asking for catering needs. What an excellent idea!! Keep up the phenomenal work! I will provide updates with pictures as I make my way down the menu. 10/02/22 This is our 3rd time eating at Carnales Taqueria! Seriouslyyyyy everything on their menu is mouth watering good. This is hands down the best authentic Mexican tacos I have ever had!! We chose the birria taco pizza this time and holy guacamole was it delicious! We rave to everyone about their carnitas and birria recipe! I continue to update my review and post pictures to prove their authenticity and deliciousness we experience every time!! Food was great! Specially tacos. Pastor and Lengua tacos are 10/10 but any taco is great, quesabirrias are ok! If you don’t mind the noise around the area it’s better to dine-in. Delicious!

I absolutely love this place! They have a great menu but I've only had the quesabirria and it is life changing! 1000/10 would recommend to anyone who likes good food.

This Mexican food has been the best I have ever experienced. I can’t recommend this place enough to whoever is looking for some really good Mexican food. I honestly don’t think I’ll go anywhere else. They should open a full restaurant because the presentation of the food was impeccable. If you could think of fine dining for Mexican food, this place would be it without the dining but they should really think about opening one! It’s a walk up and order food we had both and each time has been amazing! Highly highly highly recommend trying. I live closer to Sylvania and I will continue to drive all the way over there to get this food.

Where’s the PORTION! Food tasted good, but the tacos 🌮 were almost as big as my thumb! (I’m only 5”10 200lbs) Felt like a kids meal. I paid $42 for my wife, son(4yr old) and I. Would be well worth the 42$ if the portions were at least normal size, NOT mini. I wouldn’t recommend if you’re trying to fill up! Go to Dearborn Michigan for real authentic Mexican food (primos) with great portions would rather of traveled and put the extra money in my gas tank to get a better amount of food.

Small take out only place. The food has been good every time we go. We've gotten the carnales tacos, chicken and rice (a favorite) and quesadillas - all tasty. They give you 3 sauces for the tacos which are pretty hot but flavorful.
