The fancy way. Good service, crew and boat, everything has been fine. It’s the Fastest way between Anakao and Tulear, the crossing is about 45 min and they’ll drop you near your accommodation. Be ready for the boarding, on a wooden cart pulled by 2 zebus. I’m saying fancy way because for almost 30€ (120000ar RT) it’s quite expensive compared to the local life and smaller boats (ask the locals)

The idea of getting on a boat with a zebu or tractor is original because there is no pier. Journey to Anakao of approximately 1 hour. Only means of transport otherwise 8 hours by car.

Great, fast service from Tulear to Anakao, and drops you off directly at your accommodations in Anakao. Leaves Anakao around 7:30am , and Tulear around 9am. Book in advance by email. Pay cash. Have a nice coffee at the station in Tulear. If you're lucky, maybe see a humpback whale during the trip.

Abbiamo trovato il servizio buono rispetto a quelli offerti in generale in Madagascar. Il prezzo è onesto.

(Translated by Google) The owner is a scammer! We had agreed for a specific price for transportation from the airport to the port and then ferry. Once we arrived at the port he asked us much more for the cars and then threatened not to start our ferry if we didn't pay, knowing we were stopping the holiday. Unreliable, profiteer and also very rude. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE IF YOU CAN AVOID! Inaffidabile, approfittatore e pure molto maleducato. NON USATE QUESTO SERVIZIO SE POTETE EVITARE!

Ottimo servizio, veloce e puntuale.

About 15 meters next to the pier you can take a local wooden boat to Anakao, which costs only Ar10,000 and also leaves in the morning. Don't trust the Malagasy people on the dock, they are crooks who are trying to steal your money. The cost of driving an ox cart is 1000 Ar. I hope this information can help you.
