Hotel Motel

😠 Worst experience I have ever had a hotel/motel! If you are someone who values cleanliness, the smell of your room or even like a good customer service experience this is NOT the place for you. Booked a non smoking room and got one however the moment I walked into the room it smelled so bad!!! Smell... People often mention room, rooms, night, staff, stay, clean, good, bathroom, dirty, hotel,

Worst experience I have ever had a hotel/motel! If you are someone who values cleanliness, the smell of your room or even like a good customer service experience this is NOT the place for you. Booked a non smoking room and got one however the moment I walked into the room it smelled so bad!!! Smelled like they had someone who was in there for a month just smoking away in there. (Room 203) we had to go next door to buy febreeze and air fresheners just to be able to unpack our car. (More $ our of my pocket) On top of all this I used the bathroom and the toilet was leaking after I flushed it. We went to the office to let them know and they didn't seem to care. We were told because we paid he can't give us any type of money back and that he could switch our rooms. We went to switch rooms and the cleaner came and berated us because "they already sold our room and customers are waiting so we have to move our stuff right away" (this was only 3 minutes after we were told we could switched our rooms). New room didn't smell like smoke but still was very unclean. PLEASE for you and your families sake do NOT stay here!!! Pictures do not show the true state if this place. The steps are falling apart, the doors have scratches on them from dogs and the doors barely latch closed! Had a hole in the wall by the tub and a hole in the ceiling by the door. Towels were dirty and stained and the only toiletry we got was one bar of soap. If you want coffee you have to pay for the kcup in the office! Almost 300 a night for the place?! This is a scam!

I’ve stayed it some cheap and seedy hotels from NYC to Florida and this has got to be the worst room I’ve ever seen. Door didn’t latch. Filthy baseboards, mattress, door, bathroom, walls, furniture. Would’ve been better off sleeping in my car.

Pros: Close to beach, friendly staff, good beds, AC, fridge, Flat screen TV, low rates. Cons: Rooms smell of smoke, no pool, rooms have minor things in need of repair, no phone in room, no elevator.

I had great stay here 2 night. friendly staff I came for weekend holidays with 4 friends i had booked 1 full bed and staff recommended me to get another room because room are smalll and only 2 people are allowed and before charging any money he showed me room and he explained every thing I don’t know why people argue with staff after staying whole night and hotel staff told me there were almost 9 people in that room but staff was helpful he returned there deposit right away I feel bad for staff people are crazy if you can’t spend money just don’t get room.

Great in case of emergencies because it’s a roof over your head with a bathroom (tub/shower, sink, toilet) and a mini fridge with a microwave. The room I had looked clean but the floors have not been mopped in at least a year. I swept the floor and used 5 swifter wet mop things and the floor was still slightly dirty. If you walked barefoot for a minute your feet would be BLACK and I mean that. They may sweep but they definitely don’t mop. Floors are hardwood and bathroom is tile if anyone wanted to know. The doors also did NOT lock and I was afraid of leaving in case someone wanted to go in. The smoke detector didn’t even exist and was just wires. I know from experience trying to find something affordable for a long stay, it’s better than nothing

First I’ll focus on how the current staff will quote one price on the phone then switch up in person. The same applies to online prices. This has nothing to do with increasing rates for the summer and more to do with scamming customers. It appears they could be skimming without the owner’s knowledge who they say is out of the country. By which they quote higher than rate and pocket what they can. Overall they will try to take advantage of you. While trying to get answers to why a room that was booked in advance was occupied the guy got very nasty! There’s a kid in the back behind a curtain who hangs out there listening, allows this drama to go on and takes part in the scamming that goes on. A customer walked in, returned key after one night and told them $325 a night is too much! He’s right! They quoted me $99 a night, then mysteriously change rate saying they never said that and they get combative! I had to phone police! At this point I had no desire to stay but intended to mediate because I will be filing a complaint. Beware! They discriminate against minorities, women who show up alone and the homeless! Which will be my future complaint. They’re nasty! Prior to all this they showed me a room and when I questioned the hair, dirt in tub asking if house keeping would have room ready? The guy snapped back it’s clean! It’s clean! Then proceeded to pick up hair in tub with his bare hands 🤮 As a healthcare professional this goes against universal precautions and denotes a very unsanitary and unsafe lodging! Which will be my fourth complaint. A nearby customer shared their dissatisfaction and complained that the water smells which could be a plumbing issue. This place will not last very long. They drive customers away and they don’t get repeat customers based on what I’ve shared.

DO NOT STAY HERE. This place is in desperate need of updating. The tub was stained blue for some reason. The tub also had chipped pits all over it. The wooden steps to the second level are loose and unstable. I found crickets and cockroaches in the room. There were stains on the floor also. I found a better hotel, so I decided to check out early before the checkout time after my first night. They are keeping a second night's rate and only refunding one night. ABSOLUTE RIPOFF. Their policy is NOT posted anywhere in this dirtbag place.

Very small old rooms that need a major renovation. Motel 6 needs to lower cost to around $50 (excluding taxes and fees) per night because of how small the rooms are, and their current condition.

I feel kinda weird judging this place. It's obviously an overnight joint, not somewhere youd spend time while on vacation.. I think that's known... I paid 95 for a Sunday overnight stay in this TINY one bedroom barely big enough to fit the bed and tv and a bathroom with a hose sticking out the wall next to the toilet that they called a shower (no tub). Maybe the more expensive rooms are a better experience.. not the worst motel I've been to.. only good for a last minute overnight stay id say.

Corporate needs to be informed of this horrid motel, then demo it. Junkies n riff- raff walk around. The rooms are so small that it feels like a prison cell, not clean, and smells. This is as bad as it gets. It should be $10 a room. There is not even a desk and a chair in the room to work or relax. Tub was stained.

Clean room and it look like it was recently renovated, with central location staff was friendly and it is close to food and other attractions

If I could give this motel 0 stars, I would. This establishment absolutely SHOULD NOT pass a health inspection. The door to our room was held together by tape, the smoke detector was hanging from the ceiling with broken wires exposed, the walls were COVERED in dried blood and dirt. We never took our shoes off because the floor was disgusting. The bathtub was stained blue, the sheets were stained, cobwebs everywhere. When we went to the front desk to complain about the sheets, we were told that it was the mattress protector and that they didn’t have fitted sheets. There was no comprehension that no one should be sleeping on someone’s else’s bodily fluids. There was absolutely no customer service, and our concerns were met with a smirk and disrespect. The first stop after we left this place was to get a hep b and tetanus booster. Spend the $50 more for literally ANYWHERE else.

We are a non profit if which we booked homeless veterans many times at this motel. There never was a deposit and then all of a sudden there’s a deposit and the management is very nasty. Needless to say, we will not be booking this hotel in the future and have have black listed this motel on our list of possible hotels.

Only thing good is the AC. This place should be ashamed and embarrassed of the lack of cleanliness. This drug house had people living in the rooms, doors would barely lock. Couldn't use the pool and no continental breakfast.

I would rate this place a 0 if I could. The rooms were dirty, they were too much money for what they gave us and not to mention they have their down stairs tenants screaming at each other, and this place has been in the news multiple times apparently. 0/5 for me go somewhere else it’s worth spending the extra money lol

Big mistake. Does not look anything like the pictures. Was dirty and small. Sink was clogged. Bathroom was dirty. Beds were sinking and uncomfortable. Only stayed for 1 night just to go to the beach and I will never stay here again.

Easy access. The room smelled strongly of smoke. Very basic, very small, not super clean. As someone else said, it was a roof over our head, but the price was absurd for the barebones room.

  • 1/5 Pavel S. 1 year ago on Google
False advertisement, the pictures don't even much the actual rooms. Also, the rooms are just disgusting, it feels like bugs will eat you while you sleep. And, the bathroom is just dirty, worn out and the entire room smells extremely bad. Finally, they don't even have shampoos, hairdryer or iron in the room. Wait, forgot to mention the mattress, good luck sleeping on that thing.

I stayed for a night, had a nice experience. Front desk staff were awesome. Rooms were clean, and comfortable; spacious parking space, and location is great too.

This place is so gross, you are better off sleeping in your car. The room is dirty, smelly and sticky. The Property looks like a Crack-house one of the rooms looks like it was recently raided by the Police. The Towels are stained and paper thin, as are the bedsheets. The Pictures do not represent the actual stated of the Hotel, and for over 200$ a night on a Saturday this place should be ashamed.

The overall appearance and feel of this one in Tom's River, NJ was that it's old and run down, but the room itself was very clean and comfortable. The main wooden staircase (off the Office) is a bit loose and rickety, and although the TV worked, I had a lot of trouble navigating it and then couldn't turn it off - had to unplug it. Not a terribly bad place, tho at $150+ for the night, not a great value either. But hey, it's August at the Jersey Shore, so the price was very competitive. Clean sheets on a comfortable bed for a good night's sleep, working a/c, no bugs, and a hot shower made for an unexpectedly nice stay.
