Believe it or not this was my first time being there since they did away with their hibachi. Have to say everything was amazing service was great. Definitely need to try more dishes.

A very beautiful restaurant. Excellent food and great wait staff. A little expensive, but you pay for quality and service. Worth every penny. A very wonderful date night for our anniversary. 💖

Sushi is delicious! Some of the best….nice atmosphere inside. They have an outdoor section as well, and they have live music outside on the weekends. It’s best to call and reserve a table for that. It does get busy but you can tell the servers really work hard!

Probably the best sushi place in Toms River. Ambience is great. Service has always been good. A varied menu and a lot of different options you won't find elsewhere. It is priced a bit higher so we don't go as frequently as we would like, but when we want a guaranteed great meal we always consider going.

I asked the waitress about the scallops and she explained they had sauteed scallops with asparagus so I ordered that. There were 4 scallops with no sauce, very dry and 4 asparagus (they were a little sandy). When I looked at the bill it was $53 for the scallops. I think that's completely overpriced for what I received

We really liked this place. Staff is super nice and very welcoming. Food was excellent. Drinks were just a little on a pricey side, but by no means a deal breaker.

The dinners are a bit pricey. My nieces love the sushi dishes so that's why we dine there. The low end dinners don't taste that great. The high price dinners look good but out of my price range

Absolutely amazing service & food on the 18th hole of a golf course! Couldn’t ask for a better restaurant in TR. Tip—> Order the Banzai Roll😜 The manager, Kevin has become a great friend of mine. One of the best restaurant managers I’ve ever seen. Professional and extremely appreciative. Always a great time - overall excellence in every aspect. The entire staff + bar is 100%! Highly recommend!!!

Being a handicapped person can't understand why there's 300 parking spots while there is only three handicap spots .There is however several spotsThere is however several spots near the frontFor managers.Just another one of those are you effing kidding meMoments.Not to sound like a complainer butAccording to federal lawThere should be12 handicap spots in that parking lot.

Our "go to" restaurant. Best of everything. The food is outstanding and the only place we go to for sushi. (You have to try the duck----Amazing!). Friendly, helpful staff. We are never disappointed after a meal from Shoguns.

For $200 bill for 2 people the service needs to be top notch and unfortunately it just wasn't. We were the only people seated to eat and they decide they need to elaborately package a sushi boat delivery order directly next to us. They had the whole restaurant to do it and did it right next to us. One app came incorrect, not a big deal the waitress was training. We were seated directly in front of the sushi bar and apparently that is where all of the staff hangs out so we got to listen to their profanity laden conversation our entire meal. Definitely not the "upscale setting" they claim.

Went for dinner and enjoyed everything about it! Our server, maggi, was attentive, friendly and on top of her game! The other staff members were just as kind. The food was amazing and very fresh. Cant wait to return

I have been to the shogun quite a few times. I love the live band entertainment. I have had the opportunity to eat different dishes.. the presentation and quality.. the food is delicious. . If you never been you got to go once. I didn't take photos. Next time. It is a very cute place.

First come here on Saturday night and we can’t wait to come back! From the apps to entrees everything was delicious. The waiter Gary was outstanding and attentive. Very good.

I was taken there by our hosts. I ordered vegetarian Budda spring rolls and salmon & mango rolls, if I remember the name of dishes correctly. Prizes moderate to high. Delicious food. Vegetarian spring rolls served with mustard and sweet-hot sauces. Salmon spring rolls served with wasabi, sweet-hot sauce and slices of vegetable looking like some kind of turnip. Possibility of taking out what you have not managed to eat inside.

Hostess Anna was very pleasant and sweet. Waitress Kaitlyn was on point. The service was great.

Good food and atmosphere

Took three hours for dinner even though for majority of our dining experience we were the only patrons in the building. Slowest dinner ever. Took 20 minutes to get the bill however the second I put the pen down after signing they ran right over and checked the tip AT THE TABLE. Proceeded to walk five feet away and say "they only left 30".. our bill was $150 even. The most undeserving 20% tip I've ever left. It took everything in me not to ask for the manager and my tip back. Unless you plan on spending your entire night here and being insulted I suggest saving your time and money. 🤷

Food was extremely disappointing. I get this is food service during covid, but it's just terrible. Sushi was worse than ShopRite, and my wife ordered their"legacy duo" which is supposed to be filet mignon and scallops. I forced myself to eat her meal because I won't let food go to waste.. it was so gross I could not eat it. You can get better steak and scallops at the your local Chinese take out. The edemame more enjoyable than our entrees and the fried banana with ice cream was good. This experience does not live up to the Shogun brand. Where are the owners???

Amazing waitress! Lots of options for us since we are vegan. Wish there was a vegan section on the menu though so we didnt have to ask every single time if a certain item on the menu was vegan or just vegetarian.

Heard so much great things I had to check it out, we were seated at our table at 6:00 on a Saturday night, waiter came over and rolled his eyes as he approached the table, why I don't know, then he just looked at us so I said good evening how are you, waiters reply was don't no day has started yet, this was 6 .p.m at night may I remind you, I was embarrassed by his response and should of walked out then and there, throughout the whole meal he seemed inconvience to come to our booth, maybe because it was just myself my son and his friend, any way food was good, but the service left a bad aftertaste,
