Horrible. I went here today 4/13 at noon figuring I’d get a fresh cooked lunch. I ordered two breast that were a day or two old and refried. You can tell by the pictures as well as the taste as soon as I bit into it. Disgusting dirty old oil taste of reheated refrigerated chicken. Food went right where it belongs, in a trash barrel. The only good thing about the place was the girl at the counter. She was friendly and polite.

A very unique place, with a fun almost nostalgic feeling dining room. Me and my wife walked in and were greeted very friendly, the person who helped us was polite and patient. I ordered boneless Atomic BBQ and thermonuclear BBQ both were tasty juicy well sauced pieces of chicken perfection. My wife got bone in wings in Mild BBQ, they were huge wings tangy, sweet and crispy perfectly done. This is a great little place to stop by and grab a bite to eat!

Chosing local vs chains, always a good choice. Cluck didn’t disappoint us, great flavor, good texture, reasonable prices. We order the chicken strips, plain and also with the sweet chili sauce. Laid back and kind service. We’ll give them a 5 start if their to-go containers were not styrofoam, other than that, this tasty cand charming spot is highly recommendable!

One and done for me. Tried this place out, try to order a 2 PC and told me combos only have 3 PC. ok well then after 20+ minutes my food comes up and it's terrible. The chicken was tuff and dry. The battered skin was like chewing on shoe leather. with that I say stay away from this garbage place.

I ordered 30 wings here ate a few began to realize there’s hair on the wings coming off the skin we ate a few more then to realize hair was on almost every wing on one of the wings their was a Bloch of hair and got grossed out called and they just offered me more chicken

Always great time for friends not family at this one I love to eat atomic wings traditional on bone wings with ranch and sometimes cheese fry if wife not with me and only friends haha shhhh I’m just kidding I love cluck chicken

I got "clucked!" Ordered 10 wings and 5 boneless wings togo for $24 and waited 24 min. The wings were soggy which is understandable due the styrofoam packaging. The sauce was good, but way too much. After eating one of the wings I noticed feathers on the other wings. One wing lunch I guess...

They removed the potato wedge clicker spuds from the menu and the wingers are now a RIDICULOUS price. They're still delicious, but I won't be going back any time soon at those prices and with one of my fave things removed from the menu. I spent over $40 on wings and didn't even get any celery! Such a disappointing experience.

Three times in a row now I have ordered honey chicken and they forgot the honey. It’s the whole reason we order from there. I mentioned it twice on the pickup call today because they forgot it last time, and they still forgot it anyway. Now I know that I need to check through every box while I’m still in store because this is apparently too hard for them to manage on their own.

The chicken was cooked well and was crispy as you would expect from a fries chicken place. The sides left me unsatisfied and missing that something that a delicious side typically offers in addition to a good meal. The workers were easily distracted yet when getting their attention, they were nice and respectful. Overall, I would consider a different place, but it's not completely off the dinner list either. The worst part was easily the gravy which tastes of chemicals and plastic-y.

Don't know much about the atmosphere but I spent 50.00 on old chicken and refried food full of grease both chicken and greasy sides! I did the last time too but thought to give another try but fooled again!!! Last time I'm throwing my money to people that could care less about food quality and customer satisfaction!

Really has great tasting chicken, could be some super hot sauce or try some sweet chicken! Fun place to go after a night out cuz it's open late! Friendly atmosphere!

I was surprised at how big the sandwiches. I had the grilled chicken sando. It was tasty, juicy and worth the $8. The crispy fried chicken was on point. Well seasoned, crispy and not greasy. The coleslaw was creamy and still recognizable as cabbage unlike others. The lady behind the counter was very welcoming. She answered all my questions with great detail since it was my first time to try and recommended 3 sauces to do with my meal. She's like that auntie who makes you feel at home and feeds you. The dining area needs some love. It has that college common area vibe. They also have an eating challenge, if you eat and finish 5 atomic hot chicken and not drink or eat anything gor 5 minutes after, you get a free shirt and picture on the wall of fame. I would definitely come back. Too bad I did not take a pic of my food.

Expensive!

I would have rated higher if it were clean. My feet were sticking to the floor and the tables were dirty. I got the 10 chicken strip and medium fries deal on Groupon, but the strips aren't that big and it was more like 8 and two little nuggets that I received. They were seasoned well though and were good.

It is the second time I've been there and both times the food has been subpar

I had my husband order food while I was on my way home and it was ready very quickly, even though it was peak hours and they had a lot of orders going. Great chicken for a great price!

Website says closes at 10pm get there and a sign on door says… wasted 10 mins on my 30 min break!!! Thank you for the update!!

My son tells me how great this place is all the time and how he used to go see shows here on wknd nights. Surprisingly small for that type of venue but the kids love it. We had a few sauces on wing orders and fried chicken. The food was very good.

I had high hopes, but I ordered 8 pieces of chicken and it was so dry and overcooked. Service was fast and friendly. Restaurant was clean and lots of parking.

Always the best chicken around, they have a great variety of sauces, their value meals are even cheaper than fast food chains. Their service is friendly and fast. I always recommend this location to my friends.

I loved this Cluck U location for many years, but unfortunately, on numerous occasions, including tonight. I've walked into the place 10-15 minutes before they're 9pm closing time, and they would tell me that they're closed. Meanwhile the door is unlocked, and there are multiple open signs in the window, one of them lights up. So, essentially I've been disappointed on multiple occasions, going there and being turned away, often a substantial amount of time before closing time. Not to mention, the quality of their food isn't what it used to be.

Let me start by saying Hubs enjoyed his boneless wings. Mozzarella sticks were really tasty and good. As far a my chicken wings wrong sauce, skin was soggy and chewy and chicken tasted old. I also ordered fried shrimp. That was ok. I only order from here because hubs likes it. For me it’s not worth the money or anticipation. By the way this is literally the first bad review I ever gave. I won’t be going back.

We ordered a few meals for lunch for the family. This was our 1st time here. The food was fresh & tasty. The portion sizes are excellent, the fries nice and crispy, the corn muffins tasty, the boneless wings wonderful, and the fried chicken had just enough batter, without being mostly flour and coating. Also, we all commented that the boneless wings had a great amount of sauce: not doused in it, but not with so little that they were dry. Employees professional, kind and attentive. We will definitely be back!!

Disgusting is the only word to describe my food. I waited 40mins in the store and my wings were still cold when I went to eat them. Also the prices are crazy. 2 liter bottle of soda almost 7$ Byeeeee

You need to change your online menu to say “bacon cheddar broccoli bites” instead of “broccoli bites”. As the only vegetarian in the group I’m sitting here not eating, sick, thanks.

Good chicken when the wife doesn't feel like cooking

I can't overstate how incredible the chicken sandwiches are here. Particularly the Roman sandwich, which is my go-to. If you have any sort of passing desire for chicken, I encourage you to try Cluck U. I firmly believe the sandwiches are better than chik fil a even though I love theirs as well. In addition to the quality of the food, the place is open super late past midnight and the staff is always kind. Will definitely be back next time I visit Toms River.

Exactly the same top quality boneless wings I've always known across all (real) locations. Two new sauces since my last visit near Old Bridge are Traditional Death (between Nuclear and Thermonuclear) and "911!" (allegedly above Thermonuclear). I ordered Traditional Death since I once failed the Thermonuclear challenge. I also ordered a bottle of 911! bc why not? Traditional Death was not as hot as I remember Nuclear, but some dabs of 911! evened it out. Chicken quality (whole meat, white), prepared to order, kind/sociable front counter staff, kind/sociable kitchen staff. You can't ask for more from anywhere else with service this quick (or even places with bad service). Idk how they source staff, but Cluck-U always seems to have only the absolute best. Plus flavorful sauces with heat levels to push almost anyone's limits? Eat here once and be daring with heat level. You'll have a new favorite chicken place! P.S. Went back inside after eating it in my car (no shame) and ordered a 3 piece Thermonuclear with Mac and Cheese (bc you have to get Mac and Cheese every time). So, lesson learned, Thermonuclear is the new Nuclear. So be bold and get at least 911! if heat is your thing. Did I mention staff is the best? They are. This place makes bad days good, all around. P.P.S. I just read another review (less than 5 stars) that said it isn't worth the cost. Order boneless wings once, see what you get, complain to me personally if it isn't worth the price compared to competitors who let the chicken sit under heat lamps till you order it. Fried chicken is my favorite and the only things keeping me from eating here 5 days a week are proximity and my GP (mostly proximity).

Very disappointed Have ordered delivery and pickup never a problem Tonight no food after an hour wait, called and told food was out for delivery Half hour still no food, called again told driver delivered it, he may have but not to me. U lost a customer know I probably doesn’t mean much but bad service will catch up eventually.

Ordered 50 boneless no sauce. Got 40 bone in with sauce. SOGGY. They use styrofoam packaging and are too lazy to pop the premade holes in the top. They don't have celery. The salads DO NOT come with everything listed and come with wayyy too much bbq sauce on bbq chicken salad. I ordered salad cause im dieting not cause im trading carbs for diabetes. I cant believe these complete morons

First and last time ordering from here. Ordered chicken pieces which were tasteless and over fried. While waiting for my order, I observed people in the kitchen touching salads and burgers with their bare hands. Mind you, we are in a pandemic where protection is to be used. The worker would put the salad ingredients in the to go container and proceed to wipe her hand on the seat of her pants. What a great way to spread germs.

I love the food here! Everything is so fresh and delicious. As a vegetarian who also loves fast food, you cannot go wrong with their Broccoli Bites, Corn Nuggets, and their delicious French Fries. Yum! PS. Malena is the absolute sweetest woman :) if you ever get the chance to be served by her, you're in for a wonderful customer service experience. She really goes above and beyond!
