Don't know about the other locals around here but every time I go into this Target it looks like we are 5 years into the end of the world. Every other aisle in this place is missing product. I mean NO eggs NO milk, NO bread. Every time it's different aisles but always large amounts of empty shelves, otherwise they are just completely dishevelled. If you don't believe me the next time you have nothing to do take a walk up and down the aisles. If you don't find at least a handful of aisles with empty shelves I'll eat my own shoe. It's been like this for the last few years and frankly I would suggest just skipping this location all together if you're shopping for any kind of groceries or toiletries. Otherwise you'll find yourself annoyed like I have been that you have to visit two stores to get everything you need. You're better off driving 5 more minutes and hitting up the ShopRite on Fischer Blvd..

This store is a disaster. There have been boxes blocking half the isles in the store for more than two weeks now. Not to mention when things actually ARE stocked they don’t do a good job keeping up with cleanliness

I like the store and we’ve been shopping there for years, but they need to train their order pickers better. Several times recently I’ve received picked produce that should have been thrown in the dumpster. Shame on me for continuing to use the app for fresh items and not checking the order after they put it in my car. The strawberries in the pics leaked all over everything else in the bag.

Any one who price gouges when there is a crisis during a shortage is a scumbag. $45 for 6 8oz bottles of baby formula is outrageous!!! Amazon has a 24 pack for half the price.

Love Target ! It's clean, neat and organized. They have a great selection of Clothing, Home Decor and Beauty Products. The aroma of Starbucks walking in is always a Bonus, from a true Coffee Lover !

I generally like Target but I had such a bad experience here yesterday. After finding the product I wanted at Target for $15 more, I ordered here to save myself the 30 min drive to Freehold to buy elsewhere, after verifying the price matching policy on the website. When I actually tried to get my price match the employee instantly became combative and lied about the policy in order to stop helping me. I asked her kindly and was so taken aback I just let her win and went looking for a manager/customer service desk. No luck, apart from the desk I was being "helped" at, so I left. It's one thing to be an uninformed person, and it's another to be rude, but to have your employees be uninformed about your own policies and rude about it to boot, that is bad business.

Great location, we shop here very frequently. But I’m writing this review today, because last night we were there later in the day close to closing. We had lost our baby’s hat and we went back to see if it was on the shopping cart where we left it and it wasn’t. So the man doing carts took the time and curtesy to bring the hat inside to customer service. I wish I knew who it was so I could thank him and buy him a lunch.

Well stocked store. Very clean and organized. The weak spot is check out. Not enough self checkout and checkers.

Was surprised I found my local Walmart much nicer than this Target. Not a fan. Overpriced and honestly don't even know why they bother having groceries there..

Drive through pickup is super convenient, however, 4-5pm is their business time, I don’t recommend picking your order up in that window.

The store is convenient to our home. It is clean, neat, and well-organized. Food section is well-stocked with a good variety of name brand foods, as well as Target's own brands, which are good. There is a CVS pharmacy inside the store, as well as a Starbucks. The employees are pleasant and helpful. We like the store, and go there often.

After the pandemic eased up, Target in Toms River continued going downhill. Never an issue with employees but the store never has stock. I like to place orders online and pick up and if I am ever lucky enough to find everything I need in stock, there’s a 90% chance I’ll be notified afterwards that there’s an item that’s now unavailable. Going to another store is always an option but not a great one unless I can’t get it shipped. My order placed one day ago, of course was missing two items after I entered it. I had less than a day to pick it up and went after work and dinner on day two. I waited 10 minutes in the lot and other cars were there for mobile pick up before me but not one person came out with orders, so I went in. After I got my items placed in my cart and counted them as I bagged them, I realized I was missing 8 items. Customers were calling about the length of time since they ordered and staff inside were complaining that they were far behind on fulfilling items. Again, the staff is always polite and probably take a lot of nonsense from customers. Prices are higher than ever, less help, less service and more issues. I hate to go to Walmart but it might soon be time. I’m sure I’m in for a horrible experience if I switch but I’ll have more $ in my wallet. Do better, Target!

The Walmart of Targets.. stock is always a mess and laying around in random places on pallets.. and if you're only ever going to have 1-3 serviced checkout lanes open of the 15 or so you have... Give us more Self Checkout. The lines are always so long.

I never waste time to wright bad reviews, but today was infuriating. The management in this store must not have a clue as to how to run it. 9am, before work at a fairly slow hour for them, a line half way across the store, no registers open but self check out. Only two out of four self check outs working and 4 associates monitoring the line, one I was assuming was a manager. Anyone see the problem here?

This location has gone downhill. The place is an absolute mess-especially the women’s apparel area. Everything is literally on the floor-bras, underwear, clothing, 10 carts of go backs in the active area. Pallets out during store hours while customers are shopping. I walked right out and didn’t spend a dime. The Wall location is much better. Organized, well maintained. Toms River, take notes.

Bought a gift card for someone then wanted to return it. Policy is gift cards are non-refundable. It is a youth oriented card I have no use for . Basically I spent $$ and threw it away on something I can't use. Jan 2023 update- Worked out a good solution with them. Like anything, if you feel wronged, say something.

Target makes shopping life super easy when using the app. Everything is there including a return barcode if needed. Don’t have to keep a receipt. There are many more advantages in using the Target app. Don’t have it…get it…get it now!!

Toms River target the store is well kept clean and employees are helpful and friendly. If you are in the area I would recommend using this store. I love out of state and schedule my target trips when when visiting family in the area!!

Went fairly well but that 4 of the 9 items I was looking to buy were not in plentiful stock. As per post-pandemic conditions, the pick-up area was understaffed but the woman working the desk was EXTREMELY expedient and courteous.

Terrible dirty unorganized store. Nothing is in its place, the men’s underwear and socks are thrown all over the floor, the shoe department is a mess. It looks like a goodwill. Absolutely not the same store it was years ago.

Store is messy lately, variety is slim, prices are jacked up, and maneuvering around island merch carts is hard to do, and a copy of wal-mart which has better prices, more of the same or more variety.

I had originally a bad experience due to ordering stuff and was not told that the items I desperately needed because I work two full-time jobs and don’t have any time we’re out of stock and then we pick them up and we’re not told that they were not gonna be in the bags. I called and spoke to Andrea Hewitt who was so kind totally dealt with my little freak out (she understood the overwhelmed mother in me). She personally sent me a thank you card with a $15 gift card she really didn’t have to do that. I definitely will make sure that I will go to target more often for my last minute items.

I love Target, but this location has gone downhill over the past few years. Employees generally seem bothered and inconvenienced by customers asking questions, there are rarely enough registers open (especially in the morning), the shelves are often barely stocked, and their security team is confrontational, nasty, and rude. I was using the self-checkout (the only open registers!) and had two separate orders. The security member watching self-checkout started interrogating me as if I had done something wrong simply by paying for one order before the other. Really uncomfortable, hostile, and unnecessary interaction. I’d rather drive an extra thirty minutes to Walmart than go here because of how nasty everyone is.
