Aside from the construction going on when I was there, is an excellent place to go for a walk or just enjoying the day, plenty of businesses around and a place to rent kayaks etc.

Nice park clean. It can get crowded during concerts and activities but very lovely and nice people. Call the dock master for boats and seasonal operations i.e.docks and restrooms are currently unavailable due to COVID-19 restrictions

Was super cheap to dock over night.. but only down fall was given a ticket for non payment.. even after we paid. Was taken care of as soon as we showed the receipt..

Very interesting. I never knew about this lication until someone told me about this historical site. Now I plan to return when it is open, just love the history of the area. Good family learning opportunity.

This park on the Erie Canal and Erie Canalway Trail is clean and well kept. Located on the pedestrian only Canal Street, it's at the confluence of Ellicott Creek and the Erie Canal as it travels along Tonawanda Creek. I understand that there are events here, but I have only biked along through the park, so I can't comment on those events. Just across from the canal is a restroom area, and at the back of that is a bike tool station, and a vending machine with bike parts. Last year there was a water bottle filler/drinking fountain there too, but on my recent trip there it was missing. Hopefully it will be back, as it's a great resource and rest stop for cyclists.

A pretty place to sit and watch the water. You can take a walk and enjoy the park. The only negative is that there were some loud vulgar drunk people hanging out the last time I was there. They were mostly harmless - just annoying.

Great place for a walk or just a place to sit and relax. One of my favorite places to go near by. The city of North Tonawanda holds concerts just across the river from here. Great place to sit and watch the concerts.

Very beautiful little location a good place to sit back and enjoy some coffee or food with the family or even taking a stroll down by the canal lots of history and plaques located along the canal to keep you informed of the history of the location

I used to have my apartment here in the old "Packet Inn" that faced out towards the Erie Canal. I lived there for almost 10 years, and had some very neat experiences there over all them years. Lots of boats and concerts in the Summertime, but definitely dead in the cold depths of Winter. I once saw a cold snap so intense that I literally watched from my window from time to time and saw the canal icing over from West to East almost in front of my eyes! That was a VERY cold Winter, I think in 2003 or so.

Very cool place to watch the sunset, people watch and sit by the canal. They’ve done tons of remodeling over the past 10 years and it’s on one of the oldest roads around.

The Gateway of Tonawanda is a beautiful place that I love to stop at when I ride the bike trail along the Niagara River and the Erie Canal. I can’t help but to reflect on the rich history that belongs to that corner and celebrate the progress we’ve made as a community.

Beautiful since they revitalized it. Food truck Thursdays. But not enough use of space. Needs more things happening

Went to listen to a band that was playing on N.T. side, it sounded great on Tonawanda's side, and we sat on a bench to listen to the music.

An old town with many new updates. A host of new restaurants and establishments. River and Canal walks and a small epicenter of boaters and water activities. Definitely an area of worth a visit anytime of the year for great bars and food or just a walk or bike!

Fun near water. Come by boat, walk or video to the free music Thursdays with lots of food trucks and vendors. I especially love #buzzedhoneyand glass. Best gemstone bracelets and earrings. Also Dirty bird chicken and Waffles!

A great walkable space for people to mingle, attend events, and check out historic attractions. The parking may be a bit of an adventure sometimes, but the city has done a great job in turning an old road into a community-useful space

Visited Canal Fest 2023, on my birthday to watch the grand parade, eat local food, play games (which I wasn't really good at), and rode rides on the midway. Had a blast and can't wait to come back next year!

Beautiful architecture and delicious smells coming from restaurants all along the canal here. Small parks and dog friendly people make it a great spot to walk the puppo too.

A perfect kayak launch that enables you to either kayak down the Erie canal, Ellicott Creek, or the Niagara river if you are adventurous and a good kayaker (currents could be very strong, so beware)

The end of Canal Fest 2019. Fireworks to end the festival. Always a great display. The canal whether on the Tonawanda side or the North Tonawanda side is beautiful. Plenty of places to sit or whether you prefer to walk and take in the beautiful sites.
