Absolutely in love with this place! Surprisingly, was passing by on the way to work every single day and didn't know about this awesome place until yesterday. Good size pay & display parking with reasonable prices: up to 4 hours £1.40, which gives plenty of time to explore different trails and enjoy the surrounding beautiful lakes with swans and ducks and wildlife. If you would like to stay longer there, over 4 hours is £4. If you didn't come back before gates are shut, you have to wait until next morning when park will be open again (7:30 am) to retrieve your car. So, make sure, you are not late! At the moment it is open until 9:00 pm, but soon will change to 8:30 pm. Season parking ticket £40 a year. Not bad I would say if you are local or living near by. The area quite big, so your kids and dogs will love it! Lots of benches everywhere and playground for kids, children's play area includes an adventure trail, cargo net, monkey bars and a smaller play unit for the younger ones. There is also seating and picnic benches in and near the play area too! The play area is located near the Ocean Lake. There is also the cafe, also near Ocean Lake . Refreshments are available every weekend, bank holiday and school holiday's (weather permitting). Serving freshly cooked hot or cold food, drinks and variety of snacks, ice creams, bird seed for the ducks andeven treats for the dogs! But that is not all! We have found out that Leybourne Lakes offers a wide range of water sports too via Watersport Centre. Activities include: stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, scuba diving, small paddle boats, open water swimming and wind surfing. They also host Aquathons and Sprint Series triathlon events via Ocean Lake Tri Club. If you like walking, there are every Tuesday and Thursday one hour healthy walks through variety different routes around the country park organised too! Lots too consider I would say! :) Pleased we have found this place, apparently , 230 acres still to discover(!) and definitely recommend it!

Great place to spend some time with your family, friends and dogs in the nature by the lakes. Kids always exited to see dosens of wild rabbits and squirrels close to them. Also ducks and swans. Plenty picnic areas. Playground for kids. All paths are clean and nice. Loads of parking space. £4 for parking for a whole day.

Our first time visiting and we had a lovely time. Lovely large car park. The play area wasn't too far from the car park. Good range of play equipment in the play park for younger and older kids. Picnic benches inside the middle of the play park and benches. Just outside the play park were some wooden play animals. Haven't been on a proper walk yet but looking forward to a revisit.

It’s a lovely setting and walk around the lakes but there is always so much going on, especially in the school holidays. Families and dogs out for walks and play, fishermen, water activities of all sorts, cyclists. Cafe is dog friendly. Plenty of dog waste bins. Ample parking. Overall nice location for the whole family, but in peak times can a bit much.

Visited this country park a few times and it's a really great place to visit. I have fed the ducks, cycled and walked around here on different visits. This particular visit was on 14.12.22 when it snowed! It looks even more beautiful than it usually does. It's a great place to come and get a bit of fresh air. Good for children too as there's a playground. Great place to walk dogs. Would recommend visiting here!

I’m only going to talk about the Parkrun as that was what I was there for. First off the parking was straightforward, there is also an overspill car park which was more or less empty. I don’t think you can pay there but it’s a short walk. That brings me to cost, it’s quite reasonable but beware the machine will default to a longer stay if you’re only doing the Parkrun. There is an app option but not necessary. I paid £3 but was staying to the end. The cafe and toilet facilities are right next to the start but expect to queue for a few minutes. The run itself was well run by all the volunteers, plenty of marshals and barcode scanners. Nice view of the lakes as you run. It’s all flat, on paths and a big chunk is shaded for those hot mornings whenever they come back! This looks like a nice PB setter. Some pics from the short walk rather than the run as my phone was being used for barcode scanning.

Parking is cheap lots of wildlife to see, the pictures of the dragon fly was from the car when we parked up. Nice walks and play ground but could do with some shady areas for when it's hot. Water sports to do/ hire Burger bar it's expensive

Beautiful place. Lovely areas for walking your dogs. Some great changes since our last visit. New cafe area with toilet facilities. My only issue would be not enough outdoor seating. It's a great place for children, a lovely playground. Car parking is nice and easy, not expensive. Well worth a visit.

Good place near Maidstone. Especially if you do not wish to drive far away from town centre. Not very suitable for people with child in a pram, would be great if there was a specially designed pathway. But apart from that it is a great place.

Lovely country park, a mix of open grassland and wooded areas. Plenty of wildlife to see and teach children about. Quite a few places to rest/sit for picnic too.

Beautiful place for a walk. Dont go there at the moment. Too many people. Too many people with no respect for distancing. People walking 4 abreast down 2 metre wide paths. Made me very angry.

You can fish on the lakes there are about 5 lakes. There are different events on throughout the year . For family activities.

One the best parks there are always things to do and great for dog walking. Takes about 40 mins to move round the lake which is perfect. Their renovating the park as I speak to make it better on the foot path.

Nice lake with reasonably priced parking (£4.20 for a full day). Need more clear signs - was threatened by a fixed penalty for dipping my feet in the water (I was literally standing ankle deep with no intention to swim)

Lovely lakes to walk round. Nice and flat so fine for people with mobility problems or babies in push chairs. Lots of wild life in the lake. The cafe at the end of the walk is welcoming. Only had tea, so don't know how varied the menu is. But lovely to sit outside overlooking the lake on a nice sunny day.

Absolutely loved it here, such a great place to visit. There is a lovely cafe which dogs are allowed inside. There's the water sports centre which looks cool. The main lake walk took us about 45 minutes and the path is pretty flat. Parking was convenient and you can use RingGo. There's also a play area. Looking forward to visiting again.

Stopped off on our way back from France to give our dogs a short walk and swim. Park isn’t huge but it’s Clean and well maintained. Small inlets for dogs to have a swim. Lovely cafe with fantastic views of the lake. Paid parking available. Will stop here again.

One of our favourite days out with the children. The play park and drop slide are amazing. Animals are not shy and there is plenty of variety. Our personal favourite are the European elk and of course the bears. Membership is cheap and provides free entry throughout the year. Highly recommend.

Grew up in the area so I've been visiting the lakes my whole life. In recent years the paths have been greatly improved so they are a lot more accessible and less likely to flood, and the new cafe is a great addition. The parking charge is very reasonable (as at Jan 2023 it's £2.10 for 4 hours on the Ringo app). We love bringing our dog here for walks, and my husband will sometimes do the Saturday morning Park Run (5k run).

Lovely country park just off the M20 at j4. Good sized car park , with nice clear touch screen payment meter . There are free paper maps to help you find your way around. Dog friendly cafe with lovely staff and good choice of food and drinks . Geese were wandering around the outside seating area . Nice all weather path to use for walking around the main lake . Clean unisex toilets . Plenty of bins and benches dotted around . Clear signage for where dogs should be on leads .

Great place for a wander around large lakes with plenty of wildlife. Popular with dog walkers and those who engage in watersports. It is pretty flat so suitable for pushchairs/wheelchairs. The cafe has reasonable prices with indoor and outdoor seating.

We stopped over to break up a long journey (it's very easy to get to from the motorway). There are some nice walks and a good cafe. There are car park charges, but not too bad for a short stay. There is plenty of space for kids to run around or for everyone to stretch their legs.

Great place for a stroll. Plenty to see and do too. Many routes to tire you and yours out truly. Bring your wellies when it's wet. Park in Tesco's for free, a 2 minute walk from their park. Watersports on offer when the weather is warm. A bit rocky for the babies in the pushchairs but you won't get stuck in the muck.
