This is a small public park in the centre of Toowoomba set in flower filled gardens that is a pivotal place for community events and family activities. There are picnic tables throughout the park as well as a permanent large marquee BBQ area, community events building, sports oval, water conservation ponds, interactive art displays and children's adventure playground with climbing castles, tunnels, walls & activity centre. Annual special events are held at the park including flower displays in the Spring Carnival. There are public amenities, water drinking fountains & on site free parking. The park is easily accessible by bus or a short walk from Grand Central Shopping Centre. A lovely place for your team meeting or lunch break all year round.

Beautiful park to walk through with the kids. Playground has always been quite busy with older kids so my toddlers haven’t had much of a play, we run around on the grass, smell flowers and pose with all the animal statues instead.

Easy parking off Hill Street. We are here in summer and although some of the garden beds are covered (I assume to be prepared for next spring) the rest of the park is lovely. There are mature trees offering ample shade along the edges of the park. A playground is not far from the parking area which has a set of covered picnic tables, perfect for a party. Saw some seats set up which would make for a lovely wedding scene. Loved the topiaries and the scattered statues throughout. Also I love hedges and this park clearly does too. :)

Gardens are spectacular, well looked after, planted beautifully. Theme of butterflies is awesome. It's a credit to Toowoomba council and the Carnival of Flowers committee. Lots of people viewing and appreciating the effort everyone has put in.

Really beautiful park with nice winding paths around the vast variety of plants. At flower festival time, the flowers are outstanding and well kept. Food stalls, entertainment with live music and information desk. Plenty of toilets and drinking fountains. Toowoomba should be proud of this park.

This park is beautiful all the time, but absolutely spectacular during the Carnival of Flowers. The work that goes into these displays is truly incredible - 1000s of bulbs and seedlings. Definitely worth a visit!

Amazing place to visit during the flower festival, grab a Devonshire tea, and soak in all the colours. Laurel Bank Park has more flower beds and sculpted bushes than the Botanic Gardens. They also carry a different variety of plants like tulips. Scones (with Jam and cream) or lamination and a tea or coffee is only $8 and a nice way to relax. Butterflies, birds and bees are also nice to see. There is a large Thomas the Tank style train made out of hedging, along with many animal shapes; perfect for photos and kids to see. Lots of space for kids to run around or for people to take a picnic blanket / enjoy the soft grass. There is also a tall platform to look down at the pansy display. Unfortunately we missed the parade, but there was enough parking in the side streets. We had a really lovely afternoon.

Beautiful gardens with lots of different flowers to see. The best time to go is September with the carnival of flowers on. Plenty of parking space during the week day Lots of green areas to have a picnic on the grass. Bbq areas and toilets are close by. There is a playground close by to. Good place for the whole family. Wheelchair friendly as well. Highly recommend going to have a look. πŸ™‚πŸ™‚

Really spectacular floral displays and other interesting features. I've been once during the festival of flowers so I can't say what it would look outside of this time but I imagine it still looks great as there's plenty of attractive trees, plants and features. It would probably be a great picnic spot.

Our favourite park in Toowoomba. Always beautiful but especially during September. We were married in the Scented Garden here in 1981 ... beautiful then, even more beautiful now.

A wonderful park. You can easily see love and care in this beautiful park. It's great to see people enjoying the multiple spaces and themes. Do yourself a favour and take some time out to take a stroll through or just relax in this special place.

A beautiful park especially in September during the Carnival of Flowers. There are plenty of spots for a picnic blanket or grab a picnic table. Options for full sun/part shade/full shade. BBQs, restrooms, playground and plenty of gardens to explore. Full accessibility on paths and a great sensory garden too. Dog-friendly too.

Compact park full of delightful hedge statues, gorgeous flower beds and hanging baskets and wisteria arch. A must see during the Carnival of Flowers.

Toowoomba's carnival of flowers is the time to visit this amazing park in september each year. For me it's the highlight of the carnival and has various beds of perennials that are a delight for everyone to enjoy.

A peaceful and engaging place to visit at any time of the year but especially wonderful during The Carnival of Flowers. The mass plantings of cineraria, alyssum, petunias, foxgloves, tulips, and clivea (and much more) combined with hedges, topiary, garden features, and trees provides one of the best garden displays you’ll ever see. A great place to sit or picnic with friends. Fantastic!

Lovely place to see during Carnival of Flowers! The gardeners out do themselves with the amount of tulips here! The topiary shapes are so cute too. There's also a train and some teddy bears! Only downside is the parking. Very difficult to find a park here during Carnival, but there is a Secure Park and Pay that is only a short walk up to the park. Also a coffee shop across the road (Urban Grinders).

Beautiful place to wander around the gardens. We visited during the carnival of flowers with beautiful flower displays but would be a wonderful spot all year round

What a magnificent park. Aromatic and meticulously cared for. A multitude of nooks and crannies to explore. Especially loved the aromatic plants and the vine covered rest area.

One of the best parks that I have been to, flowers, flowers and more flowers. Excellent park to have a leisurely stroll along the flower lined paths.

During these months (September - October) Laurel Bank Park is one of the most beautiful parks that I have seen. Full of flowers in magnificent arrangements, blooming colourful trees, lots of spaces with different atmosphere - it it truly magical.

Such a beautiful park and you can see how much effort they put into tending to the park. There is a play park for the kids here too but plenty of bushes carved into pretty icons or characters to keep the kids occupied too. The collection of flowers are amazing 😍

My favourite garden to visit during the flower fest. Design of the displays are clear and it's just absolutely stunning. Park is small but spacious with enough features to explore. Follow my adventures on IG: punk_gardener

Visited during Carnival of Flowers Sept 2022. Absolutely beautiful! We visited Toowoomba during the recent drought and what a difference! The colours were so vivid and the gardens looked stunning. Perfect picnic spot as there's plenty of space. A small carpark within the park and plenty of off street parking also. Toilets are in the park also.

  • 5/5 Bruce R. 1 year ago on Google
Awesome park with great playground for all ages of children. Toilets are close to the playground and the covered picnic tables with BBQ and water fountain. Large open area nearby even has metal cricket stumps for the family game of cricket after lunch. Lot of shady trees and flowers with an incredible floral display in September for the Carnival of Flowers #COF
