Toowoomba Showgrounds Caravan Park

Event venue Rv park Fairground

👍 Good camping grounds at reasonable ($30 power and water), sites fairly level and heaps of areas to choose from(carpark, lake, trees), amenities blocks with showers scattered throughout park. Very quiet only the sounds of the birds to wake you up. People often mention stay, sites, good, grounds, night, spot, water, lake, amenities, showers,

This is a nice place to stay for a couple of nights. It was very cold but we had heaters so was all good. Was abit boggy down the bottom part of grounds after all the rain but you have to expect that. Up top was obviously abit drier but still had some patches of mud. This is all to be expected after the amount of rain they had. So take the mud away and this is a good place to stay with plenty of room. As I said it can get quite cold so if staying here during winter a heater might be a good idea. We had ice on our car in the morning it was 1°. Thankyou for a nice place to rest a weary heads.

Sensational place to camp. 248 acres of playground for you to enjoy. Now I know about this place I will be back.

We thought this was overpriced for what was available - especially as we had stayed at free campsites with better amenities. The lady at reception was very friendly and helpful. The toilet blocks really need updating and thorough cleaning. The sites were very muddy. There was one washing machine and one dryer - not adequate for the numerous sites. The sites were large but at $30 a night it was not good value.

Very good place to stay on the outskirts of Toowoomba. There are numerous powered and unpowered sites, all costing $30 per night. There are showers and toilets that are kept fairly clean and tidy, but in need of some upgrades/maintenance. I would definitely recommend staying here as there is plenty of space, and even a small lake to admire.

Great showgrounds. The carpark could do with work to help with clearing cars in a faster, more refined way.

Fantastic spot for a stop over or a few nights stay. $25 for the night was a good price but the ladies showers were not clean. Only two suppled. Apparently gets very busy when events are on. Hige area.

Free hot showers. Clean amenities. Lots of space. Lovely grassy sites. Plenty of water and power. Views. Laundry facilities. Quiet. On edge of town yet still close to shopping areas. Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful use of showgrounds property, with a well thought out position of different entertainment and vendors. The grounds are kept tidy and it's easy enough to navigate. The Toowoomba Show is one of the main reasons we have visited the grounds but even at other times throughout the year the property is well maintained. The only thing lacking sightly is the carpark, simply being a section of the grounds without pavement - but that's really no big deal.

Another very pretty spot to stop. Lovely grassed lake front site so almost perfect. Showers could use some maintenance and a good clean but we have onboard facilities 🤷‍♀️

Beautiful and spacious! We pulled up in our bus and spent 4 nights here. The price was good and it was a nice peaceful spot. There is even an obstacle course on site! Doggy friendly too! Oh and the staff were absolutely lovely. An utter delight from check in to check out.

This is quite a large camp ground that is easy to access and conveniently located at the front of the Showgrounds entrance.

Lovely showgrounds with huge sites, beautiful views and sunset, a huge dam with ducks and geese. Lots of horses around which electrified the atmosphere. Loved staying at the campgrounds. Staff was very helpful and friendly. We will be back.👍👍

Good place for a short break. We stayed 3 nights. Only down side was the dreadful amenities. Very old . With the amount of money they make from campers surely they can upgrade toilets and showers. Near 100 vans each night we were there at $30 each.

The showgrounds cover a lot of land including an oval, green sloping areas running down to the lake and kids arena, as well as an upper flatter grassed area with fine dolomite gravel underfoot. We arrived after recent rains however the weather had been warmer for several days. Great camping spot in finer weather with basic amenities adjacent the various camping areas. $30 a night with power and bore water. The later water is reasonable for drinking purposes providing it it run thru a filter. We camped on the grassy slope down the hill from the office and main oval. The commercial washer and dryer holds a lot of clothes and was ideal to catch-up with our clothing, bed sheets and towels. The drawback with the showgrounds is that when it rains everything turns to a lush mud underfoot. This makes life difficult - particularly for those in tents unless shoes are removed before entry. After a night of 15mm of rain, we had 2" of water running around our caravan and it was muddy underfoot. Be prepared to get damp a little and bring work boots or similar. The price of $30 a night was reasonable considering other caravan sites were charging $40 and above. Hope this helps other travellers ...

Convenient for power and water, sites are a bit disorganized, I don't mind paying $30 a night, however I think it's a bit steep considering showers and toilets are filthy. A very substandard show ground, not what I was expecting from such a large organization.

This is a big place that can handle a lot of campers. The facilities are not perfect but are adequate. It is a little difficult to get power and water in the same spot, but not impossible. The staff are friendly. We stayed 3 nights and each in a different spot, but that was great. I would recommend this place to stay.

Verrry large showground $30/night. Easy access to Toowoomba area. Max 7 day stay.

Massive Show grounds, pretty place to stay with good amenities, and cheap to stay $30 per night for powered/ water sites

Loved this place. Stayed a week. Can get a bit windy. Huge spaces to park your van. 4 different level. Laundry, dump spot. Not many trees though. The lower level, has a pond. With sites avail right on top of this pond..just a beautiful spot to spend time. It is a big town. Has everything you need

Was a great stop for us. We unfortunately had mechanical issues with our MH & Brooke at the office was very understanding & helpful. Hot showers, toilets, rubbish bins well looked after grounds. Would recommend & will return under better circumstances.

A very picturesque setting by the lake with a number of well kept facilities and dump point. Washing machine and dryer $4 p/load needing $1 coins. Approx 6kms from the cbd. Highly recommend.

We went for Meatstock the Showgrounds themselves are great Meatstock however was a complete Gyp $68 to walk in the gate and that's all it buys. Then you have the privilege of massive lines for overpriced BBQ extreme disappointment. Won't be sucked in again. Do yourself a favour and go to Phatburgers.

Terrible organisation. No guides as to where vehicles should exit, you're just meant to know by some magic ability or word of mouth. Put up signs before someone sues YOU as a venue you have partial responsibility for vehicles entering and exiting.

Visted this great place for Nitro Circus and Toowoomba Swap Meet, and used extensively for horse events etc. Mulitiple large areas/arenas and under cover buildings. Multiple buildings allow easy purchase of food and soft drinks etc. and the food quality and value was very good, with a few serving alcohol also. Easy access to the grounds via Toowoomba city roads and parking for hundreds of vehicles. Car park attendants were very friendly and helpful. Large arena has grandstand style seating with a large building serving food and beverages. Plenty of public toilets and very clean portaloos were also available. The grounds also has some very nice views and plentiful bench seating near a small lake and in addition has a large caravan and camping grounds with black tank emptying facilities. Thank you.
