If you love steaks and seafood then this is the place for you! Very impressive selection of different steak cuts as well as a variety of fresh seafood options. I’m only giving 4 stars however because I was not impressed with the service. We got to the front and gave the name of the reservation. We were then told to stay by while ‘they prepare the table’. We then proceeded to stand there for 10 minutes waiting only to find out the rest of our party was already seated. The service also at the table was a bit chaotic. It was hard to get the attention of any servers for ordering. I would expect at a place of this caliber you would have enough staff hired to handle the amount of tables that have to be served. Other than that, I was very impressed with the food and beautiful ocean views are second to none.

The location is as breathtaking as it can get, being an ocean view restaurant. The food was good, not crazy but alright. The service is good. The drink was not that great. Make sure to have reservation in advance. Don't forget to try their pretzel bread, it ships daily fresh from Germany.

I really enjoyed Sunday lunch here. It's only indoor seating but it wasn't super crowded. The food was really good. I ordered the sea scallop entree & she got the Chilean sea bass. And you have to get the butter cake for dessert, trust me! It's expensive dining for sure but worth the splurge. Our server was excellent (forgot her name). The view is amazing.

I am still reeling from last night; the worst restaurant experience (Pump Restaurant Lounge) ever! Now I feel a personal obligation to pay homage to the great and wonderful businesses I have had the personal opportunity to experience. Yet warn of the negative experiences in hopes of saving someone else the painful humiliation I felt yesterday evening (Pump Restaurant Lounge). Now that I have vented for the millionth time please allow me to pay homage to this great restaurant and staff. Mastro’s Ocean Club of Malibu is a truly exceptional dinning experience. I’ve had the luxury of entertaining out of state family and friends at this lovely establishment since I relocated to Santa Monica. The food drinks and service are worth every dollar. I recall my experience on 8/24/21 party of 4. The valet service was excellent and the wait time was minimal. My family and I were properly greeted and seated at an amazing table. The customer service was 5 star and the food was amazing. My family’s dinning experience was truly legendary. Finally I want to tell you about the exceptional over and beyond customer service I received on Valentine’s Day 02/14/22. As usual I was hosting friends from out of town and I needed to celebrate the wedding proposal of one of my dearest friends. I looked on the website and saw there were no available reservations for same day service. However, I called and the representative was able to secure a late 10pm reservation for me at the 9th hour. Simply phenomenal over the top customer service. The table setting overlooked the ocean and we were seated amongst movie stars. This restaurant has served as the venue of some of my fondest California memories thus far.

Such a wonderful experience on a rainy day in LA. Rob, our server, and the server assistants were incredibly knowledgeable of the menu and took every step to make sure our meal was exceptional. Every step of the meal from the drinks, appetizers, salads, and entrees tasted incredible and fresh. Rob offered many suggestions that were helpful for what we had ordered and at the end of the meal brought out a birthday cheesecake for my girlfriend. We also ordered the famous butter cake which definitely sealed the deal with the entire meal. A great experience at Mastro's Ocean Club. I can't wait to come again during the day so I can see more of the view.

Outstanding! Been to Mastro's in Beverly Hills, same place except this one has a beautiful view overlooking the ocean! Everything we had was fantastic. I tried the 40oz wagyu tomahawk, unreal. My girlfriend is vegetarian and got a bunch of veggie sides and her father got the 32oz tomahawk. We finished off with the signature butter cake, you MUST try it. All in all amazing as usual, will definitely be back.

Mastros as a whole is on a scale of it's own. To rate it comparatively is almost unfair to any other steakhouse. I haven't had anything mediocre, or anything below greatness. While I usually go to their other location, I was treated to this location just recently and decided to make a review. My only critique is that their heat measurement is a hair different at this location. It caused our table to get a slightly more rare cut than we were all used to. They did a great job in describing their temperatures which we all heard, but promptly ignored. Regardless, that did nothing to stop us from leaving only skeletal remains on our plates. I don't believe any cut of meat tops their bone in filet. Not even the Waygu Beef. Their all amazing, but the Bone-In Filet is perfection. It always pairs astonishingly well with their Garlic Lobster Mashed Potatoes with a side of any of their veggies. This particular location's drinks are better than most high end bars. Can't wait to visit again.

What a great experience. We made a reservation online and had a minimal wait for a table next to the ocean-view window! Absolutely gorgeous views. They treated us extra special since it was my boyfriend’s birthday. They don’t have a vegetarian entree on the menu, but they have the option to select three or the slides which was honestly perfect. Everything we ordered had large serving sizes, including the dessert ! Chose the restaurant for the view, but will return for the food and service. Can’t wait to come back.

We had an amazing time celebrating my wife birthday here last night with her family. I made reservations 2 months ahead of time on OpenTable and asked for a table with a view for a party of 6. The day of the reservations, my wife dad wanted to add 1 extra person so I called ahead to see if that was possible and they said it would be but we would lose our table with the view since they only have high top available for 7 people so I said that was fine. We arrived early and used their valet service because I didn't want to look for street parking. A lot of people checking in or got seated wanted a table next to the window but they let them know that those tables were already reserved since people booked it like 3 months ahead. Our server was Pablo and he was amazing, he speaks many languages like Spanish, French and etc. My wife got the Chilean Sea Bass for her meal, I got the 12oz Filet Mignon, our other guest had other steaks and salad. For our sides, we went with the fries, mushroom, asparagus and Mac & chesse. The fries were too salty so they took it back to remake it for us. I really loved my Filet Mignon at medium rare because it was juicy, tender and seasoned perfectly. My wife loved her Sea Bass especially the portion that they give and she loved the mushroom. The Mac & chesse was delicious as well and the table loved the asparagus. All of the staff here were amazing and will serve you your side dishes. If you have a party of 5 or more I believe tip is included in the bill. We finish off with my wife getting her chessecake and we sang happy birthday to her. You cannot go wrong coming here to celebrate a special occasion and the food is amazing. My score: Food: 5 star, you cannot go wrong with the steak here or the seafood. The sides are also delicious as well and if something not right just let your waiter know. Parking: 4 star, it's basically street parking or valet here so you don't have that much option. The price to valet your car is pretty high but the valet people take extra precaution when they are parking your car. I have a dashcam so I was able to see how they drove my car. Service: 5 star, the staff here are all professional and amazing. Just be respectful and understand that sometime they can't accommodate a window seat or a seat with a nice view because they are already booked up.

I love to eat. I have eaten at great restaurants all over the country. Mastro’s Ocean Club is my favorite restaurant, bar none. The ocean views are spectacular. The food is outrageously delicious. The service is extraordinary. When I have an opportunity to eat there, I take it. My last visit was with my wife and a good friend from Canada. We went for it on the food, ordering enough for at least one more person. We had the seafood tower appetizer, lobster bisque soup, bone-in ribeye, halibut, scallops, asparagus, creamed corn, blueberry butter cake a la mode and two extra scoops of ice cream. Every dish was mouthwatering. The steak was tender and cooked to perfection. The scallops were firm and excellently seasoned. The seafood tower was a piece of artwork, spewing smoke as it was served. The shrimp were huge. The crab was completely pealed with large chunks ready to dip In delicious sauces and eat. A full lobster was split with big claws ready to crack open. The steak was served sizzling on a very hot plate. Each bite tasted better than the last. Our waiter was Rob. He had a great sense of humor, he knew the menu backwards and forwards, and his recommendations were spot-on. I was completely satisfied with every aspect of a perfect dining experience. $450 for three people without any alcohol is an expensive night, but it was worth every penny and more. I praised Rob’s service to the manager who said Rob would be rewarded as a result of my going out of my way to praise him to his manager. The perfect end to a perfect night.

Went here for day before Mother’s Day for a Nice leisurely paced lunch. Great food, nice server, excellent live music with stellar singer and wonderful views. We sat in the glass addition part. Lunch was Expensive but I didn’t see the bill. Steak in the $50+ range and sides $25+ Food was very good. Mushrooms and mashed potatoes were delicious and so was my steak. Plates are very hot. Everything is a La carte but shareable. They had just added a new side - truffle fries for $27. Definitely on the pricey side but we were there for 2.5 hrs and never rushed. My daughter insisted on Dessert and it was yummy too. Everyone was taking home leftovers - including us - lots of food. You do have to pay for valet parking and there are nice views from parking lot. There’s a bench to sit on with the beach view behind. Lovely experience. 😊

Service: limited. Besides taking order, checked on us once, took forever to share the dessert menu.. by the time she returned and asked, I was in no mood of dessert (not sure how long we would have to wait). Good: salad was okay. Drink was good. Tuna tartar was good. The steak was AMAZING! (bone-in ribeye). Overall: the view was great. But based on the service, from the front desk to overall service, I think we will try other locations. (I know that the other locations would ask if we are celebrating any special occasion... But here they didn't. So if you are celebrating any special occasion, be sure to let them know in advance...)

I recently had the privilege of dining at Mastro's Ocean Club in Los Angeles, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. From the moment I entered, I was greeted with genuine warmth and exceptional service that established the tone for the entire evening. The atmosphere at Mastro's Ocean Club is simply awe-inspiring. The elegant décor, sophisticated lighting, and breathtaking views of the ocean created a truly captivating setting. It was the ideal backdrop for a special occasion or a romantic outing. Now, let's discuss the cuisine. Every dish that graced our table was a work of art in itself. The menu boasted a diverse selection of fresh seafood and prime cuts of steak, all skillfully prepared and presented with artistic finesse. Each bite was an explosion of flavors, and the superior quality of the ingredients was evident in every plate. The staff at Mastro's Ocean Club went above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was nothing short of extraordinary. They were attentive, well-informed, and genuinely passionate about delivering exceptional service. Our server guided us through the menu, offering excellent recommendations and accommodating all of our dietary preferences. One notable aspect of our evening was the meticulous attention to detail. From the immaculately set table to the seamless timing of each course, it was evident that every element had been thoughtfully considered. The staff's meticulousness extended to the smallest nuances, such as discreetly refilling our water glasses. Mastro's Ocean Club boasts an extensive wine list, featuring an impressive array of selections from around the globe. The sommelier provided invaluable assistance in suggesting pairings that perfectly complemented our meal. The cocktails were also masterfully crafted and served with elegance, enhancing the overall sophistication of the experience. To add to the ambiance, live music softly played in the background, creating a vibrant yet intimate atmosphere. It served as the perfect accompaniment to our evening, elevating the overall enjoyment of our dining experience. In conclusion, Mastro's Ocean Club in Los Angeles is an exceptional dining establishment that delivers a truly remarkable experience. From the outstanding service and captivating ambiance to the exquisite cuisine and unwavering attention to detail, every aspect of this restaurant surpassed my expectations. I wholeheartedly recommend Mastro's Ocean Club to anyone seeking a memorable and indulgent dining experience in Los Angeles. I eagerly look forward to my next visit, where I can once again revel in their culinary delights.

It may be a smaller spot, but it packs a punch! We had the shrimp cocktail as an appetizer and it was outstanding. The table bread was even great. For my meal I had the 12oz filet paired with truffle butter mushrooms and lobster Mac & cheese…amazing! One of the best meals I have had. Parking can be a bit challenging there but they do have a valet to assist.

Had the A5 Wagyu and honestly I wouldn’t get it again. It was good but wasn’t amazing as I thought. I think it was the way they cooked it but it was nothing special. Caviar was really good and is more of a complementing ingredient. Definitely get it if you’re looking to splurge a bit. The view is amazing and the employees were very nice and helpful when ordering. A really good place to celebrate or take someone.

It’s a very nice restaurant and seated right on the sand so the view of the ocean and sunset during your diner. The food was good and the drinks where strong. The plates come out hot and sizzling meat sprays your shirt with butter / oil so push the plate away until the sizzle calms down. Service is not the best, I had to wave down the server couple of times to order drinks and then diner. The parking is $15, if you can’t find side of the road parking. For the cost a meal and experience it falls under “did it, done it” status. Due to lack of staff attention we will not be returning. Flemings offers just as good cuts of meats and better attention to customers.

Right along the beach. So was able to watch the sunset. This is an upscale restaurant and the prices do match, but you do get what you paid for. My rib eye was perfect and was one of the best I’ve ever had. The drinks were perfect and plenty. Lobster bisque was spot on. Had the cheesecake for dessert and the whipped cream was outstanding.

Amazing food, wine, cocktails and especially the unbelievable sides dishes, which uou pay extra and they are family style!! Only 4 stars for service because we had a reservation for over a week and they stuck us in a corner, no view at all. We were a big Birthday party and they got our business. Didn't feel catered to like a 5 Star service should be. One free slice of cheese cake only for the birthday girl. Food is off the charts delicious!

Didn't have the best customer service experience. The waitress called out the price for everything we ordered on the menu. It just felt weird. We tip'd the young man bussing tables because we communicated with him more. The waitress had the nerve to ask us directly why she didn't get a tip. Uncomfortable much. I'll still return to this establishment because the food was on point and the manager was cool and apologetic about the service.

It's a nice Steakhouse right on the beach. The food was terrific. Was a little crowded but, not a problem. I made a reservation and walked right in. Overall it was a great experience, staff were nice and knowledgeable.

Delicious oceanside restaurant with an upscale menu. The majority of seating benefits from a sea-level view of the Pacific Ocean. Had dinner an hour before sunset and enjoyed gorgeous light and colors with our meal. I splurged on an 8oz Japanese wagyu steak which was reasonably priced. Cooked to a perfect medium rare and melted in my mouth. We enjoyed the jumbo lump crab cakes which were filling and flavored well. Dessert offered a blueberry seasonal version of their famous butter cake. It was a neat and tangy departure from the original. This place is fantastic for date nights or anything worthy of a celebration. Great place as well to bring out of town guests!
