A
liquid
foundation
that
is
MY
exact
colour
match...
GASP!
After
years
of
being
‘misdiagnosed’
at
EVERY
cosmetics
counter
and
by
every
make-up
artist
I've
ever
met
or
worked
within
the
last
25+
years…
the
solution
is
at
Mix
Beauty
Lab
in
Toronto!
SOME
BACKGROUND
Having
recently
gone
through
three
very
expensive
Armani
pressed
powders
in
a
three
month
period
(due
to
the
fact
it
was
the
best
colour
match
I
had
found
to
date
and
so
little
product
in
the
package)
I
thought…
‘This
is
insane!
Surely
in
all
of
Toronto,
one
of
the
largest
cities
in
the
world,
there
HAS
TO
BE
A
PLACE
that
can
custom
make
a
liquid
foundation
that
would
work
so
I
can
stop
wasting
money
on
fixing
my
foundation
colour’.
After
some
on-line
research
and
a
quick
phone,
a
week
later
my
daughter
and
I
were
in
the
Mix
Beauty
Lab
for
a
great
experience.
Because
there
is
so
much
ground
to
cover
and
already
lot
of
wonderful
Google
reviews
for
their
other
services,
I’ll
be
reviewing
my
liquid
foundation
experience.
THE
REVIEW
- EXCEPTIONAL
customer
service
(friendly,
genuine
and
kind
staff)
- KNOWLEDGEABLE
—
we
each
received
a
colour
match
so
perfect
I
honestly
don’t
even
worry
about
that
usually
obvious
line
between
my
neck
and
jawline!
I
still
take
care
LOL,
but
I’m
ready
for
ponytail
season
that’s
for
sure!
- EXTRA
MILE(S)
–
having
notoriously
sensitive
skin,
I
did
experience
a
mild
allergic
reaction
to
my
first
bottle
of
foundation.
I
called
and
Mix
and
quickly
they
whipped
up
and
popped
in
the
mail
2
more
samples
(removing
some
of
the
possible
ingredients
-
turned
out
to
be
the
illuminating
ingredient)
for
me
to
test
and
replaced
my
original
bottle.
Then,
after
using
the
full
bottle
of
the
corrected
formula
without
any
irritation,
I
called
about
a
thicker
consistency
and
Mix
sent
out
for
both
my
daughter
and
I,
small
samples
of
a
thicker
mixture
each
in
our
formula
and
colour!
- CUSTOM
when
I
say
custom
I
mean
custom!
Consider
their
Mixologists
to
be
true
artists
who
fully
understand
colour
theory.
Drops
of
colours
were
going
in
our
bottles
that
you’d
never
dream
of.
In
addition,
they
worked
with
us
over
time
to
find
the
consistency
and
thickness
we
preferred
as
mentioned
above.
They
keep
amazing
records
so
that
they
always
have
our
formulas
on
hand!
- QUALITY
—
from
foundation
ingredients
to
pretty
and
practical
pump
dispensing
packaging,
you
couldn’t
ask
for
more!
- LEARNING
CURVE
—
IMPORTANT!
this
will
require
you
to
re-think
how
you
look
at
foundation
application.
And
for
the
better!
We
personally
were
so
use
to
how
we’d
been
applying
our
mismatched
foundations
that
we
should
have
treated
this
with
more
of
an
open
mind.
So
my
recommendation
for
you
is
to
buy
their
foundation
brush,
forget
everything
you
THINK
you
know
about
your
years
of
foundation
application
(regardless
of
how
many
brushes
you
own
or
experience
you
have),
and
take
advantage
of
their
complimentary
colour
match
and
mini
application
session
to
re-learn
what
you
think
you
already
know.
