I will say that this is a conditional four-star. The selection of Scotch is phenomenal, and priced affordably. The service left something to be desired, but it may be an isolated incident. At the end of they day, they have one of the widest selection of Islay and Speyside single malts in Toronto. The glass says bowmore, but it’s a Laphroiag 10.

Friendly server. Very helpful and charismatic. Nice ambiance. Awesome whiskey selection from around the world as well as interesting cocktails to try. Great place to hangout before going to the CN tower or the Ripley's Aquarium just next door. Will come again!

A lovely lounge with modern decor, a warm atmosphere, excellent service, and a thoughtful and enticing menu. Our favourites were the Thanatos (with the charming toasted marshmallow pictured below), which was a perfect holiday cocktail that was rich and festive but not too heavy or sickly sweet, and the Spritz Royale which was refreshing and featured a host of ingredients that were favourites in our party. It's worth mentioning again that the service we received from two separate servers was outstanding and reflected a consistently high standard of customer experience. Looking forward to returning!

Walked in at 12:15 am, and this place apparently closes at 2am. The guy at the bar said sorry, Google has got it wrong and that they were taking the last call and were closed for the night. Firstly this error is not acceptable from a 5 star hotel, especially because they sounded like they were aware of it, and secondly, the place was full. I would have expected them to offer to serve at least one drink, considering we were already there and the error on the time was not from our end. Usually a Marriott fan, but this leaves a bad taste.

The absolute best service I’ve received at a restaurant/lounge. Eric & Abdisa were amazing!! They were extremely knowledgeable & made my boyfriend’s birthday very special. 10/10 and we will definitely be back!!

Eric makes fabulous gin cocktails based on your tastes! He customized a martini for me using Hendrick’s Neptunia that was amazing! For food we had the Prosciutto Rolls and Boulangere Flatbread - both of which were delicious.

Great whiskey selection, u had the 26 years old glenfiddich! They are little disorganized when it comes to refusing to charge individuals instead they charge the whole table and that creates lots of issues. Suggesting charge people as they order

I have been there several times and really enjoyed the atmosphere. It's casual, "chic" and staff is very competent and friendly. They also have a good selection of cocktails and fancy whiskeys. Note that this bar in the hotel lobby and can sometimes be pretty busy or be booked for private functions.

Located in the Delta Hotel this lobby bar offered an array of whiskies from around the world. However if whisky isn’t your drink of choice then I recommend asking Ryan the mixologist. He was knowledgeable and professional and I appreciated the steps he took to ensure every customer had an enjoyable experience. The atmosphere was great along with the food making it an easy decision to want to return.

It’s a good place for some drinks and tiny bites! They have a very good version of fancy poutine. Maybe not an ideal place for dinner but if you are eating here, maybe skip the burger and get small bites or the seafood pasta.

We popped into this bar on a whim on a Saturday night, and had such a great time. Great selection of whiskies and a super knowledgeable bartender who was able to walk us through the options. He was patient & attentive and made us a custom flight upon request! The fries we ordered were great too. Highly recommend if you want a low-key place to enjoy a quality drink where you can actually have a conversation.

This was a great experience. The bartender was very knowledgeable and was able to recommend different scotches based on our preferences and price point. I will definitely be visiting Char 5 again.

Whisky bars are hard to come by. Great whisky bars with creative bartenders even more rare. Come and say hi to Ray at Char No. 5 and ask him for A Trip to Spain. I promise you will love it. The rare whisky collection is simply magical.

This bar is on the immediate left when you enter Delta. The drinks are good and the staff is friendly. It's got two separate spaces, and the seats are very comfortable.

Had to try this whisky bar. Good selection of different types of whisky to make a great custom flight. On top of that, the Portobello burger was delicious.

Chill lounge environment that has space for multiple types of parties. I went with a group of 9 after a raptors game and it was a convenient location. Be aware that for parties over 6 you all have to have one tab. However, the space is accommodating and we were able to get a comfortable set up in the back. The servers were attentive and remembered our orders.

The whisky selection is great but the bar itself is very outdated and sad looking. With that kind of markup on the drinks, I would hope for a better atmosphere.

Great drinks and love the bartenders. No idea why this place closes so early. Also staff can do a much better job servicing their clientele especially before they close. They seemed lazy.

Stopped in here several times during my stay in Toronto. It doesn't have the most extensive whisky collection, as others have noted, but for being a small bar in a hotel lobby it is quite reasonable. I had several different cocktails and I enjoyed all of them. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and the overall atmosphere was very pleasant.

A whisky bar with an online menu that hasn't been updated in two years. Really? You don't even have to print new menus, just update your online menus it's not that hard. Otherwise a chill place to hang out, and drink a $20 old fashioned, I guess.

Awesome selection of Whiskies.. Hidden little gem in the lobby of the Delta hotel.. Great way to try different scotches before bung thy bottle! Bartenders also great on recommendations on what to try! Prices a bit steep compared to some others with similar 1oz pours.. Still would recommend!

Whiskey and tequila selection is by far one of the best in the city. The service is amazing, love to go on a week day when it’s not as busy but service is great even on a Friday/Saturday.

Came here for drinks with colleagues. Pretty decent whisky selection, not sure what everyone else was talking about. It was comfortable and the service was good. Drinks came fast and the appies we ordered were good. Would definitely come back.
