The atmosphere was perfect, the jazz band was ok... the service was good .. however the food was not good at all (except for the blackened shrimp and coconut shrimp). The rest of the food was bland. Absolutely no flavor, no spice, no seasoning. Whomever the chef is, they need a new one. preferably one that has been to New Orleans and trained along side some of worlds greatest chefs. I shouldn't have to add salt and pepper to dish in an attempt to doctor it up.... This place is good for music, drinks, and entertainment only...

Great atmosphere the moment we walked in the door. Extremely talents jazz band, great 30 year old wooden bar, great beer and the most amazing jambalaya that I’ve had in a long time. Great staff and just come here already 🤗

The location is ideal, and has so many ways to enjoy it, either quite close to the street, on the patio right beside the restaurant, or inside surrounded by amazing pictures (and in the evenings, by an amazing house band) :and all of these areas offer a great experience! As for the food, I can't comment too much, except to say the escargot was superb, and the service super friendly!

An alright place to experience some spicy Southern food and music. Interior and food are great, somehow their wine and service could improve. Prices are within the expected ($$1/2) range.

We went there for a date night on a weekday. The place was almost empty. There was live music - a woman playing piano and singing jazz music. It made the evening very special and unique. We shared an entree - jambalaya, and we both had plenty to eat. The drinks and service was great. I would definitely go back.

Had a wonderful evening. We were seated right next to the band and I'm happy to say it was found but not uncomfortable. In fact it was fantastic and we had a great time dancing in our chairs and singing along. Not the meal was typical NOLA grub. I had the Jambalaya, it had a nice mix of spice and flavour. I highly recommend making this a stop in your itinerary if your going to show or a game.

Our favourite bar in the Entertainment district. Coconut shrimp and warm mushroom salad at the bar with a draft. I don't even look at the menu any more as this is my must-have!

I came here on the recommendation of a dear friend and was pleasantly welcomed by the staff. The boys ran the food dressed in black shirts and fedoras. The music was on point, small jazz trio that played at a very pleasant volume. The food was delicious. In fact I heard patron say “I’m from New Orleans and this was very authentic”. So all in all, I enjoyed a very pleasant night. The place was decked out with images of “jazz greats” creating a cosy atmosphere in this tiny and narrow restaurant. I didn’t sit at the bar, but there is one towards the back if that’s more your vibe.

Went there for winterlicious last night. Portions were bigger than I expected for winterlicious and the food was really good! Love the decorations and the vibe there as well.
