The drink prices here are quite reasonable considering it's a king west bar. The bartenders are always on it, efficient and friendly too. It's a small space that does get quite crowded. Finding a space to stand comfortably, let alone seating, can be difficult on weekends.

I went yesterday and the bouncer did not let my 4 girls friends and I come in after asking us how old we were (he didn't even ask for our ID). Once we told him we were 22, he ignored us and let these girls who were a bit older then us, and behind us, go in first then kept ignoring us. I used to love coming here but we are never coming back. Worst service ever. Be a bit more respectful.

Terrible place, avoid like the plague if you are visiting Toronto. There are some really great places and this is not one of them. The bouncers are extremely rude for absolutely no reason, I suspect they are either racist or on some weird power trip. They made us wait in line for 45 minutes before saying "You're not coming in" we were a balanced group of guys and girls. Then they said to the line "we don't do line ups" absolutely laughable and pathetic. Do not go here!!

No proper service. Bat attenders and bouncer will show you hell lot of attitude for no reason. We are paying for your livelihood respect it else u will be starved. And please wear masks and dont touch us bare handed.

Got in town last Friday and wanted to hit up a happy hour. Locals Only caught my attention for their Buck-a-Shuck oysters that they serve during their HH from 5-7pm. Although the oysters were on the smaller end, they were a perfect starter. They were fresh and the best I’ve had in a while. They are served with lemon, their house mignonette sauce, house hot sauce (WARNING❗️ you don’t need a lot of it. A little goes a long way), and shaved horseradish. We order 2 dozens they were so good! I also ordered their passion fruit mezcalita. I highly recommend this cocktail! It was superb and the perfect summer drink. I recommend this spot as a starter to the beginning of your night. Perfect for a date night out, girls night out an or night out with friends kind of spot. Their HH also includes 1/2 bottle of wine or Prosecco. For 2 drinks and 2 dozen oysters, our bill came to about $37 cad which is about $28 usd. The vibe at this place was cool. My only con was that service was slow. This was a great start to our night and I’ll be sure to visit this little gem again next time I’m in Toronto.

male tendor stole my origami. This is a cell phone bar, fake laughs and shifty eyes. not a place for a few after work. I can promise you no locals go here. The old fashion was pretty good though, music good, stool meh, won’t come back unless buddy learns to make his own origami.

Locals Only is our favourite spot to grab a bite off the delicious menu before a ballgame or famously skipping an event because the staff and vibe is always a great time. Especially when Justin is hosting us. He’s attentiveness and amazing personality keeps us all coming back. Thank you Justin for that brilliant smile and amazing service! Please make a point to enjoy excellent food and a great time!

A great place and great location!! I like the vibe at this place and I am always happy to go back there. Mostly when I do my bar hoping. There are some cons though. If you compare prices of cocktails to other bars and restaurants on king street (even more sophisticated) they are $2-4 lower than the cocktails at Locals only. Also the service is not always the nicest. But it depends on who you get ;) I got the nice people and also the opposite too..

This may seem unfair but I’m giving 3 stars because of the way the bouncer was acting up towards us last night (7/30/23). We had been at the establishment earlier and stepped out to check another bar around the corner, came back and this black dude was being a complete A-Hole. Started off by telling me and my cousin that no more guys are allowed because “there’s too many guys”, then proceeded to let his guy friends into the bar. This happened for the next 10 black dudes and he kept turning away everyone else. We had decided to come back to locals only because the vibe was really nice but that bouncer should get a reality check. Then he proceeded to say “I know people like you come here to pick up girls.” Excuse me?! I could have been mean but decided to keep the situation candid. I’m from NYC and was here for two days for my 1y/o nieces birthday party. I would still come back to this place because the bar is nice, drinks are inexpensive, it has a sort of backyard underground feel which is really nice for people who like to find hole in the wall spots. Could do with a teeny tiny bit more ambient lighting. The crowd is also full of life and the energy in the room is uplifting, makes you want to shake it to the music.

My servers Eric and Justin were phenomenal and they’re cute to top it all off. Watermelon salad was amazing and they make a mean Campari soda. Delicious men, delicious food. 5 stars

Great energy. Highly recommend the not into yoga cocktail it was amazing. Avoid the popcorn chicken it had too much vinegar. Aside from that the oysters were great but a bit on the small side. Would recommend for a fun night out since it turns into a bit of a club at night

Absolutely terrible customer service! Especially from our girl server lightskin tone (don’t know her name) I honestly don’t even know how she got hired in the first place because clearly she lacks customer service skills. The way she replied back to us EVERY SINGLE TIME was rude and stuck up, every response was an attitude. We came around 5:30ish and it slowly started to get busy so of course to get the server attention we kindly raised our hand at her. She came to the table and said “you don’t need to wave your hand I see you“ How are we suppose to get your attention ?? Scream across the room full of people with blasted music? THEN we began to order, it was our first time here so we asked about the half price wine. We wasn’t sure if the wine was half price the day of so, we ask if it was and her response was “ya that’s what it says on the flyer … pointing at the flyer” like girl it’s your job to help us understand the menu why are you so hostile about it. I honestly never experienced such a negative energy coming from a server before. If your not happy with your job just say that!!! Explain why this is a 3 star restaurant. The poor service just ruin everything and the whole experience for us. First and last time coming here.

Dropped by for a quick drink with a friend. The staff was great and very personable. The photo I posted is the tequila shots some random sent our way which we did not drink. The second time he tried to send us shots we asked the server to send them back and she happily obliged Fun spot overall 🤣

Been going there for years since 2016- ok drinks/snacks, usually to meet with friends or have a drink with a date- until recently when I tried to go on a Thursday(at 10 PM and place is half empty), this time to just have a drink when the bouncer suddenly mentioned we don’t do solos here. Disappointing- don’t recommend the place- if you’d like to have a good time plenty of other places nearby where they have respect for patrons.

I started reading the reviews the moment I sat down at this restaurant and almost wanted to leave immediately. Honestly, I was expecting the worse after reading about the service and the terrible manager. What we experienced was night and day compared to what others encountered. I came here with my SO on a Monday night at 5:30pm. There were two dudes by the bar and a table of two girls that were about to leave. Pretty quiet like I expected for a Monday night. No sight of the scary manager. We waited a couple of minutes before someone sat us down. Order was placed within minutes, our waitress was really nice and all our food was served within 20 minutes (oysters included). My favourite dish was the buffalo popcorn chicken and shishito peppers. We weren’t stuffed given they only served tapas but were pretty satisfied with the overall experience. Not to mention there was a buck-a-shuck promo, we had no idea so it was nice to see our bill went down by $52 as we ordered two dozen of those bad boys. A dozen oysters would usually cost you $38 here. Oysters were VERY tiny. The bartender was attentive, our waitress noticed the hot sauce was missing for our oysters and the bartender was right behind her and passed it to us. Also, he made us some amazing cocktails and was generous with the amount of alcohol. I got tipsy fast from just two cocktails. Side note: staff members were wearing masks. I think they finally got the message after so many negative reviews here and probably changed their ways given the backlash from the pics online few months ago.

Staff member who had a weird power trip over his mullet wig but couldn't tell you which one he was cause they all bought their black t shirts from h&m so look the same. Girl staff staff were so helpful. keep up the good work girls.

Got the one shuck for a buck and the gyoza. The oysters were okay, kinda skinny but what do u expect for one dollar lol. I expected the gyoza to be at least 6 pcs but oh well. Tequila was tequila and the cocktails were not very yummy imo. Vibes was great and worker was very attentive and kind.

Great place for cheap eats. The food is not bad, though the cocktails are fantastic. The Tuesday specials are a real standout. Service is quick and friendly. I found the noise to be a bit loud later in the evening but it adds to the fun atmosphere.

I cannot say enough good things about this place, truly a must do for anyone in the city. Great food, tasty drinks, great prices. The staff really treats you like family, special shout out to Jasmine- she made our girls night amazing! this is my top rec for evening plans! Thanks locals!

We have had the pleasure of visiting this wonderful establishment on several occasions and never fail to be delighted. Fantastic food and outstanding staff serving it! The kitchen team have created an amazing selection of foods and we have never been disappointed! The bartenders are among the best - beverages were delicious and served with a finesse like one other! Highly recommend you give it a try!

Went here today with my boyfriend, enjoyed buck-a-shuck oysters, and had some wine! The vibe was great, and the service was amazing. Jazz and Fitz were so nice and accommodating! Would also recommend the crunch tacos - Yum!! We will definitely be back and highly recommend!

This place is great. They should have a self serve option tho because often the bar tenders are really busy checking their phones or swapping recipes with each other or other patrons.

Walked in on a whim, and I’m so happy that I did. The two staff running the place this particular night were both attentive, quick, and extremely helpful. The food was delicious and I honestly couldn’t believe the price, I can’t wait to return!

WOW WOW WOW. What a fantastic experience I had. The staff are unbelievable. Especially stephanie. She was in such a great mood and gave the best service. Her energy is unmatched. However, the rest of the staff were also just the best. The music was unreal also. I will be coming back again and again.

Such a great place with a great atmosphere! They're good is decently priced and their drinks are amazing! I would definitely recommend their cheese plate and jalapeno burger! They pair amazingly with their Cool as a cucumber drink (their version of a gin and tonic) They also have buck a shuck oysters and half price wine daily from 5-8! It's definitely a live spot! If you're looking to go with friends make sure you get there before 10 on the weekends for some seats otherwise itll be too busy!

Food is fire, try the pasta and bang bang shrimp. Also serve cold teas best cider in the game and the staff keep the party going till close. Best place in king st. Make sure you stay all night to catch the shooter show.

Easily one of the best bars in the city. People saying otherwise clearly don’t know how to have a good time. Bartenders are amazing (Justin is the nicest human ever). Food is 10/10. You won’t find another place in the city doing buck-a-shuck and half price wine/Prosecco everyday of the week. Always the best vibe and so much fun. Love this place!!!

Amazing little bar with buck a shuck oysters during happy hour and the best bartenders in the city! Fitz remembered what I drink after months of lockdown and Luca is super personable! It’s a neighbourhood fave for sure!

Came here for buck a shuck and half price bottles of Prosecco! I had Dark and Robbie as my bartenders. They were super attentive and even recommended the chicken tacos. BEST CHICKEN TACOS EVER! you can tell these two are passionate about what they do. Will be visiting again when I’m back in the city!!!!!

Came after hearing a lot of good things but the bartender was in some kind of mood. Asked for a corona and was told they only have sole and to read the menu before placing an order as he walked away from us… we did and he came back for us to order again. Continued with a huge attitude towards us so one of the guys we were with refused to tip him so he decided to cut us off and refused to serve us the rest of the night. We had 2 drinks. Terrible customer service and hospitality.

We just happened upon this awesome place while we were walking along King St looking for somewhere to eat on a special night for us. Right from the start the bartender, Julian, was amazing to us. He was kind, generous, very attentive. He made our special night just perfect! The food was also fantastic! We highly recommended Locals Only to locals and non-locals alike ;)

I love to bring my wife to this establishment. We both love the atmosphere of the bar. Lots of fun and great food! My favourite is the popcorn chicken!
