Horrible club, such creepy and touchy men here and they don’t know what the word NO means. It also gets incredibly crowded. At least the bouncers were nice. Ladies there are so many better clubs in Toronto, please look else where and stay away from this place!!!

Of all the nightclubs that I have been to in Toronto over the last few years, Fiction is the worst night club I have ever attended. On my first night here, I was accused by the security guard of stealing someone’s phone, which was obviously not true. I didn’t even have any interactions with that individual during the night nor did I know them. The bouncer then made me empty all my pockets and unlock my personal phone in front of them, I did as he asked. After emptying all my pockets and doing what the bouncer asked me to do, it was clear that I didn’t steal no phone. The bouncer then tells me to stay where I was and that the police is on their way to search me. This is absolutely no way to treat a human being. I felt as if my human rights were been violated. My friends and I just waited for about half hour then walked out without saying a word and without anyone stopping us. Save yourself time and money and go someplace else for a night out. Besides, their drinks are way overpriced, 20$+ for a rum and coke.

Do not go here, the people at this club, discriminate based on colour. I was waiting in line to enter the club when I was told that I'm wearing sneakers so I can't enter inside. If that rule was for everyone, sure I understand. But I see white males in front of me wearing sneakers and it's me the black guy and the brown people behind me that can't enter. Come on MAKE IT MAKE SENSE. Trust me there's way better clubs you can go in Toronto, that know how to treat people right.

Worst experience I’ve had downtown. The line to get in was way too long, had to wait for nearly an hour outside. All the staff are rude and careless towards the guests. Drinks are way too overpriced ($23 for a watered down vodka cran) and they do not accept tap. Mandatory coat check is completely unnecessary- something they don’t even mention online. Clearly they care about the profit more than they do the service. The best part! The night I went, I got my phone stolen from my purse (13 pro max). I met four other girls who had their phones stolen the same night, also with 12s and 13s. Sketchy if you ask me. Security did not care to help out, no one was willing to in fact. I have attempted to contact Fiction multiple times and I have gotten no answer. Save your money, folks. Not worth it. Unless you want to have men who are in their mid to late thirties dance with you at an 18+, then in that case, Fiction is for you.

MOST RACIST CLUB EVER!! They were hand picking dark skin people and kicking them out and not allowing them at all. Guys with light skin were allowed in right away. Me and my friend were not allowed in saying you dont have reservation, while our light colored guy friends were allowed in without any problems. Even after asking them we were given no answers and were asked to leave.

me and my sister decided to go here after a concert because it was the only club that was open and ended up having a horrible experience. just a bunch of old thirsty latino men violating young women. it is way too crowded and the music was not even good at all. when we arrived i also got cussed out by one of the bouncers because i put my empty cup on one of the couches. we just wanted to have a good time and dance without some creepy man coming around but instead left the club crying because of the inappropriate behaviour we experienced. just do yourself a favor and avoid this place it is NOT worth it i wish we just went straight home.

As a student, this used to be my favourite nightclub. The bouncer on duty Saturday night was refusing people entrance because apparently sneakers is against the dress code (which is weird b/c I've always gone in wearing sneakers, but if that's their dress code thats fine) What is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE is for the bouncer to be letting in white people with sneakers but refusing to let in POC in because they're wearing sneakers. I saw so many people and groups who were white and wearing sneakers get into the club, but the POC kept getting refused entry because of the "no sneakers allowed policy" Fiction, if this is in fact your policy (no sneakers) then how come the white people were let in when they were wearing sneakers??? It was clear that this bouncer was prejudiced at the least against people of colour for some reason. I'm absolutely saddened and appalled by this experience. I used to rave about fiction to everyone, and I feel so dumb for doing so now. To think my friend and I were ready to buy a bottle/booth and nobody took us seriously either. Not upset about the dress code, but I am extremely frustrated with how this rule only applied to certain individuals.

I am not sure if there is an option to not select a star. This club does not deserve a star. I have seen bouncers who are not professional trained security but just part time students who bully customers and favour around their friends to make women uncomfortable and unsafe. My recent experience was with and Asian security guard who started abusing in some weird language and pushed me around when I tried to save my female friends from molested around by of his Asian fellows.I understand my post sounds raciciy but I am a humble and open minded person. I have been to this club before this was the first and worst experience ever I had around the world.

Waste ! Pathetic! Bouncers! I was never humiliated so badly by anyone but these cheap poor bouncers they think it’s their property. I was threatened by bouncer(bald guy with a goatee) about getting my arm chopped just because I drank a sip of water from the bottle which was kept near the entrance. Waste of money pathetic bouncers who don’t respect people and can toss you out for no reason. I couldn’t get hold the manager but surely I will and escalate this matter.

Went for the Halloween event. In the main room, two shots cost me $20. In one of the rooms downstairs, two shots cost me around $36. When I told the bartender I paid less upstairs for the same thing, she said it was more expensive downstairs. I asked if we could pass on these shots since they was so expensive and she proceeded to tell me that I needed to pay or that she was going to call the cops. That comment completely threw me off and I proceeded to pay. I took my card out to tap and she ripped it out of my hand and tapped it herself before giving it back to me. The shots downstairs were also much smaller on top of everything else. I felt completely taken advantage of in this situation.

Horrible venue. The place is way too hot, especially considering that they don’t allow shorts or tank tops. There is condensation all over the walls and ceiling, which leads to liquid dripping all over as if you are outside on a rainy day. When I arrived, the security said it was fine if I brought a backpack in so long as she searched it. She searched my bag, found nothing that was not allowed, and said it was fine if I brought it in. When I was leaving, 1 security guard grabbed my bag from behind very aggressively without saying anything, and 2 others grabbed my upper body. I was left helpless, and my knee slammed into something hard which was very painful. 2 security guards grabbed my bag, searched it, and found nothing since apparently they had thought I stole something and felt the need to be unnecessarily aggressive. Never going back here, and should have never even gone considering I now know they have a 2.3/5 star rating before posting this review. Do not go here unless you want to sweat as if you’re in the Amazonian rainforest and get treated like a violent criminal.

I would’ve given ZERO star if I could!! Terrible staff! I got rubbed at the coat check 2 times!! They women at coat check are so desperate that they beg for tips!! If u don’t tip them, they will not give u ur change and would lie that they already gave it to u!! Sounds like this club needs to hire some good employees.. I wouldn’t recommend this club to anyone, don’t waste ur time and money in this club

Awful music - unless you're into top 40 from 2011. The DJ doesn't even...DJ. Just plays some garbage music. Sereiously. Please play better music( not for me - i wont be coming back) The only ones who like it are the kids who you're unsure are 19 or 17. If you're looking for a high-school prom kind of vibe then this is the spot to go to

Fun times especially on a wednesday since many clubs are only open in the weekends. It does get packed so I always keep my hand in my pocket to protect my phone. $5 bucks for a tequila is pretty good but control yourself because I do seen women getting hammered and losing their things.

Service was horrible, one of the managers was badgering young group of people and grabbing their cups or things in their hand and throwing their drinks/cups across the street. i have never seen this kind of erratic behaviour before. we were not allowed to enter even though we showed proof of our tickets, with payment and everything. they just refused. was the most horrible and unorganized club and group of workers i have ever seen in any service industry in my life. do not ever go here:)

The place has good music but the people at the front especially the Asian guy with a beard did not let my friend in.. we were 3 couples and he was a single guy and they did not let him in. There were sooo many other single guys and group of guys inside waiting to pounce on any girl they could and the Asian guy in front was racist and did not let my friend in! My friend had to leave and go home alone when we all wanted to party and be in a group

The Fiction club is the worst club I ever visited in my entire life. The security there is really rude and unprofessional. They don’t know how to deal with situations. My wallet got stolen there but know gives a damn about it. “ DO NOT GO HERE THERE ARE THIEVES IN THERE IN EVERY PARTY” they didn’t do anything in my concern and not even took my phone number to just give me a call if they find anything. I REPEAT DO NOT VISIT THERE !!!!!!!!!!!!

Y’all save your money DO NOT GO HERE!!! My phone was stolen literally pickpocketed from my purse on the dance floor and security or front desk did nothing to help. They just be letting anyone in and there’s no security inside to keep watch, and from reading the other comments it seems like a lot of girls have faced the same issue.

Worst Club ever I've ever been. You had to queue for your jacket for more than 1h just to be able to hand it in and 1h again to pick it up. The beer is way to expensive, 3dl bottle costs 10 CAD

Way too many guys. Also they say strict dress code but so many dudes dressed like bums. Worst part is all the guys come in groups of 6 or more.

Imagine reservation for restaurant then never even getting inside. Including pay to skip line??? I’m confused I hate the senile part of clubbing so much I made sure everything was set. Turns out we got screwed over regardless. I am so upset Plus never refunded for reservation too. Why pay to reserve a spot when you can’t access it let alone Serb foot inside. Was a great time with some friends, it’s a club so expect there to be people of all ages, idk why people are surprised by that lol. The owner Tom was super nice and made us feel very safe where we were, and security does a great job of leading you where you need to go,I’ll definitely visit again.

I have no idea how this club is still up and running. Every time I’ve been there I’ve had the worse experience. Bouncers and security are so rude they will swear at you and scream or kick you out for no reason. $65 for general admission literally one of the priciest clubs in Toronto when it’s one of the trashiest on the inside. The inside of the club literally looks like a badly done house party. Always super packed to the point where you can’t breathe. Trashy

Very weird crowd. I went here with my girlfriend and we stuck around for 50 minutes and during that time 2 separate men approached and grabbed one of our hips 3 separate men asked “join” 4 separate men asked if they could “watch” So on average you can get harassed by a creep once every 5 mins. That’s why we left after only 50 mins. And a bunch of people vape on the dance floor.

creepy guys and lax service! charged 5 dollars for water and had no cups of water which is abhorrent for a bar/club venue. we entered thru the back and no one stopped us 😭 found the entrance, waited in line for an hour, 2/3 of that after it was supposed to start, and ended up being immediately creeped on with no assistance. no one working was looking! everyone just vaping and scrolling.

Line too long because door and check-in too slow. Even after waiting in a really long line it's pretty empty inside until 11.30. The music is a little better than average but still a lot of rap. Stick with your friends and make sure you have enough guys to fight off the random older guys on 18+ nights.

The worst nightclub in the world. I would give it a 0 if I could. Ridiculous lines considering we had tickets, they pretty much forced us into paying an extra $25 to skip the line. Horrible layout, people randomly cutting the line with no consequences. Would never recommend this place.

I went there on Friday night three weeks ago. The club was supposed to open at 10:00, but they didn't open until almost 10:30. However, they managed the queue fairly well. The dance floor wasn't too bad, but it did get crowded. There weren't many options for beers. I witnessed men pushing and annoying girls, even when the girls rejected their advances. Towards the end of the night, I felt someone trying to touch my pocket. Initially, I thought it might have been accidental due to the crowded environment. However, when I met some girls outside, they were complaining that two of their mobile phones had been stolen. Now, whenever I think of going there, I hesitate.

We went in semi formal attire. I had converse on. We had asked how much cover was and the guard looked at us and said “there’s a dress code”. We asked what was the dress code. He pointed to my white converse and said no sneakers. Meanwhile the two couple infront of us had full on sneakers and his response was “I don’t know about that man” lol ok. Salty people salty place. Save your money

Some months ago I like it but every time is getting worst, I never come back there again, is every time more expensive, is very small, you can’t even dance because it's super crowded, the music is not that good, but the worst is the personal is super rude and treat you with any respect. I recommend you don't go there are much better clubs you can go in Toronto. it is not worth giving money to a club that does not respect you as a person.

If you are a woman just stay away from this place. There will be lots of pushy weirdos trying to touch you even you reject them. I felt horrible and guilty as a man. This place used to be a good club couple years ago. Now its full of people that dont know how to behave.

Came here for I Luv RnB. Place quickly got super crowded, no room to dance, and many people were smoking cigarettes and weed inside. When we asked the bouncers why they weren't addressing the issue, they shrugged and said we should have expected that. The photographer downstairs was cool, but would be nicer if there was music playing down there too, so people could come and chill. Drinks were $10 for bar rail, which is ridiculous considering that the bartenders get very little tips as a result. No wonder they're grumpy. Never again, Fiction.

Idk what I was expecting but my girlfriends and I paid $30 to get in and then saw a bunch of people all in a group bunched up in a corner dancing, no rhythm mind you, to terrible music. It was a sad scene and we left maybe 5 minutes later. I’m not sure about the racism I keep seeing in the reviews for this place. My friends and I (black and brown) didn’t experience that but it is a very ‘white’ club. The music and all.

Waste of your time and money. Don’t come here. The service here is terrible.

The bouncers are rude and do not give any explanation of why they do not let in on Saturdays with whiteshoes. So does wearing white shoes mean not being well dressed? Many of the shoes people wear are more expensive than a bouncer can earn in one night, ridiculous explanations.

Was a great night and I would go to fiction often until an interaction with lady at the front desk. It specifically was an obese woman of asian descent (no makeup). Someone needs to be hired to replace her. She has the worst attitude and does not support how fun the club could be, but instead kills the fun with her rudeness. I also saw there was a younger girl she was harassing earlier in line, yelling at her when all she did was ask questions. 10/10 night at fiction but this one lady made it terrible!

the music was REALLLYYYYYYYYY bad, like obnoxiously bad. the dj played titi me pregunto but cut off the best part , opting for instead repeating the same two lines 100 times. people here were really pushy and annoying too, which i know can be expected of a club but it felt multiplied x100 at this particular location. the only reason it's not a 1-star is because me and my friends managed to make it fun by just being ourselves, so the adventure wasn't completely negative !!

very bad service, Last night me & my friends went there at 11pm and said no entry even another people were going to inside. They said you have no reservation. What is this mean. I felt very bad at this club. Bouncers were very rude & have a no any respected word to speak.

Went on a Friday night for my birthday with some friends and got bottle service. I was weary because of the reviews but everything was perfect. The line to get in was fast, the service and owner was great along with the bottle girls (so nice and pretty). The music was so much fun and the dance floor wasn’t too crowded. Everyone in my group enjoyed our time and would definitely go back!

my phone got stolen from the side pocket of my leggings. the same night, my friend's phone got stolen from her small handbag (one of the ones that hangs right below your armpit). it was closed. the next time she tried to check her phone, it was gone and her purse was zipped all the way open. the same night, we met two other girls who had also gotten their phones stolen. we talked to security and there was nothing they could do. four phones (that we know of) in one night. this was on 9/29/2023. if you go, please be careful.

The crowd was great. I was very impressed with the way the bouncers handled a man who was pushing my boundaries. Definitely need more bouncers like that guy, when I told that bouncer I felt unsafe he followed me at a distance to catch the culprit and was successful. The man was kicked out of the club as he should be. I don’t know what the other reviews are talking about. The crowd is friendly and inclusive and the staff were very professional. I definitely recommend this club.

Cool spot, cool vibes & good music! Drinks are decently priced. Table service is recommended if you want your own private section. Went on a Friday and it was amazing! Highly recommend. Arrive early though if you don't want to wait in a line.

Saw all the bad reviews and was worried but had a great time, security around made my friends and I feel safe, good music and atmosphere, although some creepy guys were in the crowd so be careful, overall decent club especially for university students.

Everything was horrible for event pricing, DJ so bad at their job they literally cut off the music (literally, the music just stops, no sound) in the middle of the song for people to sing it out loud, I wanted to kill myself everytime he did that and it happens like 2-4 times each song because every one of those songs has one of those “lyrics” that everyone knows and easy to predict, simply laughable. Plus the crowd this location attracted was simply awful, non-sophisticated and rude lol. The venue itself was meh, I like the sitting area, but any other aspect of it is not worth it.

Had the worst experience at this night club. I went for a University frosh event expecting to have fun when someone went into my bag and stole my phone.The same night multiple people got their phones stolen. We went to talk to the security guards and they didn't do anything about it. DO NOT GO HERE!!

A small venue, but with a nice layout, a proper dance floor and large bathrooms. Known for the university events, a 30 dollar cover is a bit pricey with the crowd that comes. Not smoke pit must go outside but overall not a bad time, 6/10

You always take care about you stuff , is not safe over there , the security don't give you a damn about you stuff, i went to get a beer and listen some music , and someone stole my jacket , I ask to security for help but everyone told me , is not our problem. So always check you things , momentos is not a safe place.

The drinks were magnificent the bottles were poppin and the place was slammin. Very terrific place to get ur party on. Don’t let the 2.4 star fool you. My moneys going here boy

It was the worst experience ever. It was too crowded and the tickets were so expensive. The DJ wasn't good. Overall it doesn't worth it and it's a waste of money and time.

Pre paid for bottle service, but was not let in due to wearing black converse although the bouncers were letting in people with white shoes, saftey shoes and other sneakers although the cover says no white sneakers. The difference between the people let in and out was based on their race and complexion, as we showed him their own website and instagram advertisements and dress code that i competely followed but was not let in as a darkskin while the lighter races were in within seconds.

I visited the club with a free ticket, I visited at the time indicated on the ticket, but she said no to this ticket, but to my friends who went in first, it was free with my ticket, they lie beware, club size is small and works until 2 in the morning, and even in the bathroom, the staff gives you toilet paper and asks for a tip.

I've always enjoyed Fiction Latin nights. Went for Loko Saturday's Halloween event! Had the best time ever. There was a fight but security was great resolving and very respectful, on top of their game making sure everyone was safe the entire night. Bouncers were respectful too. The DJ and music were AMAZING. A mix of old school reggaeton, new latin hits and some salsa and bachata. My boyfriend and I won the best costume contest!!! They gave us the full prize $1000 immediately, no issues or difficulty. Needless to say, it's one for the books 🥳

We went to this place to celebrate my friend's birthday on Saturday and what an amazing time we had! Staff is super friendly and music is great. We really enjoyed our time there. Highly recommend!!

It was ok, the only thing I didn’t like much is that ~70% of the people there were guys (maybe a bad day), and the drinks are quite expensive.. $19 for a double vodka is too much.

I haven't lived in Toronto for quite a few many years so I wasn't sure what to do. People at the Strathcona told me about a few places downtown. And I really liked this place. They played really amazing music and I danced the night away. The non-judgmental crowd that was so much fun to be with. I'll tell you the drinks I remember drinking we're fabulous :-)

Worst club in all of Toronto. All this club does is scam 18 year olds of their money and bait them off to old men. Too many creeps for an 18+ event and the staff is incredibly rude. The staff ruins the vibe completely and they don’t know how to do their job, they should be trained better. They also scammed me 90 dollars and refuse to give my money back. This is the worst place to go if you want to have a good night.
