Overall, I enjoyed the dinner experience, but I was disappointed about a few things. Our server was extremely kind and knowledgeable. The food was delicious, especially the scallops. However, a few cons: - There were six courses and it took 3.5 hours to get through. Way too much time would pass in between courses. In a way, it’s nice because you don’t feel rushed. But if you’re hungry, it’s pretty torturous. - We left feeling hungry. I’ve never had this happen before with a tasting menu. - Dessert isn’t included, which I thought to be odd given how expensive it is. They also knew the dinner was for a celebration. A complimentary piece of cake would’ve went a long way.

Absolutely amazing experience. I came here 7 ish years ago and loved it then as I do now. It is much harder to get a reservation now that they have a star but I managed to get one to revisit an old favorite spot. The service is so warm and welcoming and the atmosphere was fitting and intimate. Each dish was very tasty and you were given the course of the entire evening to enjoy yourself. The menu always changes which is a delight. I really loved our first course in particular but the entire experience was excellent. Can't wait to come back for another special occasion!

Excellent multicourse takeout dinner. Service (gratuity) is included in the price. $75 pp. Absolutely gorgeous food. Highly recommended. 2 dishes needed simple reheating at home.

Believe the hype!!! The food is exquisite! 5 courses of pure delight! They provided really clear instructions for prepping the meal at home, and photos of each plate so we could try to simulate a fine dining experience chez nous. The nice little personalized touches in our take-out experience make us look forward to dining in at Edulis in post-pandemic times.

This hidden gem in King West is probably the best restaurant in Canada. The menu has a seafood theme which I appreciated but I’d like to bring attention to their vegetable dishes as well. Their vegetable courses will make you appreciate their attention to detail when it comes to ingredient sourcing and cooking techniques. The chefs spent numerous years traveling globally and bring their diverse knowledge of food to the menu. I found their service to be equally good. Our waiters were kind, friendly, and attentive. Some reviews erroneously describe the place as tight and packed but the truth is that it is warm and cosy. When you get it, it feels like you’ve gone for lunch in the countryside. The restaurant has traditional Spanish decor and is absolutely charming. I look forward to returning for Sunday lunches and dinner when I have a chance.

Absolutely phenomenal. The staff went above and beyond, and were extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the food and where it was sourced from. The presentation was grade A, and the food itself was phenomenal. I have zero complaints. They even printed a personalized note and had it sitting on the table upon arrival as we had attended for my mother-in-laws' birthday. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very homey and intimate. The experience from start to finish is exactly what I expect from a Michelin Star restaurant, if not more. Especially one in Toronto. This has been, BY FAR, the best restaurant experience I've had so far in Toronto.

Edulis mastered the combination of a sophisticated, delicious 6 course tasting menu with a homey and inviting atmosphere. For my birthday, they personalized the carte for me, which was a personal touch to make me feel special! The meals, which focused on fresh seafood and seasonal vegetables, offered a variety of flavours that left me and my partner eager to try the next dish! Our server was wonderful: easygoing, knowledgeable (providing us the background on the resto’s name Edulis), and happy to indulge in our photo taking at the end of the meal. I also highly respect the restaurant’s no tip ideology, as they pay their staff a fair and liveable wage at baseline. Altogether, I can easily understand how Edulis got their Michelin star and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to splurge for a special occasion!

A reservation at edulis is hard to secure and the second you walk in you know why. The restaurant is cozy and welcoming with tables for only 22 guests on any evening. When you sit down you are greeted with a welcome letter which is a really lovely touch. They really encourage conversation and so the atmosphere is lively without being loud. At no point in the evening do you feel rushed. They start with the drink menu, which includes a nice wine list, and a few add on selections. Once you settle in the meal begins. Each course was a unique combination of foods I love served in a way that I never experienced before. Each plate was incredibly thought out, from the sauces to the fresh vegetables to the seafood. Edulis' focus on seafood, vegetables and wild mushrooms shines making this one of the best tasting menus in the city! If you are looking for a restaurant that feels as welcoming as a home cooked meal and is as complex as you'd expect from some of the top chefs in the city, this is it.

One of the hardest restaurants to book in the city, I am glad I was finally able to book it and the food most definitely lives up to its reputation. A great selection of very refreshing seasonal ingredients mixed with innovative combinations makes this one a must on any foodies to dine list.

The single best meal to be had in Toronto. It’s not just a Michelin tasting menu — the attention to detail and warmth makes this an experience I can’t recommend enough. Order the Joselito Jamón to start your night, and just put yourself in the hands of their incredible team. Phillip was our waiter and made the experience a joy. The meal consisted of about 10 different bites + mains, leaving you happy and full. I truly can’t recommend any restaurant in Canada over Edulis — they go above and beyond. Thank you for having us!

An amazing meal with impeccable service start to finish. A very small an intimate space that makes you feel as if you are briefly in Europe. Menu is seafood-focused and perfectly executed. Reservations are released in blocks monthly and are well worth planning ahead for

After reading the many positive reviews I was expecting to be blown away but unfortunately wasn't for this season's menu. Overall, I'd say the dishes were "nice" and cleanly executed but nothing too complex or rich in flavor probably because fresh vegetables were used a lot. Most of the vegetables were local grown and the proteins from Europe/Canada. Perhaps this was another reason why I wasn't "wowed" because I grow some of the ingredients myself such as tomatos, shiso, and other leafy vegetables, so the flavors were all too familiar for me. A fall/winter/truffle themed menu might have been better for me. The pace of the dishes could have been a little faster but I understood that the staffing model is 4 people. There wasn't a set wine pairing menu as the menu frequently changes I was told. The wine recommended to us was good, we ordered 2 different bottles of white wines. Setting wise, it's a small rustic place and on the darker lighting side. The service was great and the waiter answered any question that we had. If I had to sum up my overall experience in Edulis it would be "nice".

I rarely post reviews but this was my worst dining experience in Toronto. We had dinner reservations at 8 15 and were in the restaurant for 2.5 hours waiting for a five course dinner . The breaks in between each course was way to long . Nothing tasted exceptionally good and everything was completely bland . I can't believe the positive reviews in this place because I would have been disappointed with the quality and taste if this is what was served in an all you can eat buffet . After waiting more then thirty minutes for our main course my girlfriend and I had to return the dish because our pork was completely flavourless and dry and cold . It tasted like it was made three hours before . We complained to the waiter and he said he would bring us another dish which was even worse when it was served . My girlfriend and I had 1 bite each and couldn't eat anymore as it was a complete failure . We immediately asked the waiter for our bill and said we did not want to try anything else . The best experience of the restaurant was the professional waiter who knew about all the wines and described all the food in extreme detail , with great passion but unfortunately the food didn't Taste even close to the descriptions. Would never recommend this place to anyone and definitely not worth 200 dollars not including the liquor . After returning two main dishes to the server not even a discount on the meal was offered which was also extremely disappointing.

It’s incredibly disappointing to write this review, like anyone who goes out for an elevated dining experience, I wanted to be blown away and just wasn’t. I wasnt even going to write a review but since dining at Edulias I cant stop thinking about my experience. I am incredibly impressed with how accommodating they were with dietary restrictions, the delicious tuna belly dish and the wine list, but the positives stop there. In each dish, I found myself searching for a fresh or even acidic element and was most disappointed with the chewy octopus and flavourless beans. It took 3 hours to go through 7 courses (none of which included dessert-they want you to add it on) and I  STILL left hungry!! I didn’t feel at all satiated and when you’re spending that amount of money on a meal, it feels like robbery. I have had the privilege of enjoying some amazing tasting menus around Toronto and I would encourage anyone to save their money and go elsewhere.

Truly exquisite cuisine in one of the warmest, truly hospitable rooms in Canada. Owners/chefs Toby and Michael continue to operate with what occasionally seems like to disregard for business profitability (truffles at cost? What is this madness). We are truly lucky to have a place like this to go celebrate special occasions. Would give extra stars if I could.

First time back at Edulis since 2018! Still absurdly fantastic, and the Michelin star hasn’t changed the vibe or dishes at all. Great Canadian seafood-themed tasting menu and a fantastic wine selection. Do not miss the rhubarb dessert.

After almost a full year of trying to get a reservation at Edulis, we finally had the pleasure of dining at the most elusive restaurant in TO! Right off the bat, Edulis deserves every ounce of respect and praise it gets, everything here is phenomenal, down to the most minute detail. Edulis really makes you feel right at home and I understand why booking is always filled, walking in, there’s only a couple of tables and you actually do get the table for the entirety of the evening so you never feel rushed. The service was amazingly attentive and the pace is slower than what one might be used to in comparison to the quick hustle of bustle that other Toronto restaurants have. This is definitely a dinner where you take your time and connect with each other and the food. All of their ingredients are foraged, farmed, and sourced based on the season so you’ll be getting the freshest and most flavourful dishes. Among my favourites this season were the mackerel and pigeon dishes. There are some light appetizers, followed by 6 courses, and dessert. There are caviar and jamon options. I HIGHLY recommend the jamon as it’s 100% worth it. I’ve had jamon iberico in Spain and even this jamon blows that out of the water. Edulis has easily worked itself into my top 3 in Toronto and I’m definetley going to do my best to come as often as I can!

We have been going to Edulis only about once a year for special occasions, but they make us feel like regulars. We were warmly greeted and seated, treated to some Cava. The service was so warm and friendly, it felt like the ultimate dinner. Not only was the service exceptional, each course of the 7 course tasting menu was a delightful surprise. Complex flavours very well executed. This is excellence. Edulis is a treasure and and a gift to us who live in Toronto.

The menu is extensive - every possible burger toppings you can think of. I had the Mac Daddy (burger patties, mac & cheese, pulled pork) and it was AMAZING. My other half had the burger with blue cheese and it was equally as good. The tater tots fantastic, the service was good, the burgers were fresh, the prices are reasonable and portions are large.

Edulis is always an amazing experience! I have eaten there many times and it is always a food exploration that expands my culinary world wrapped in an amazingly friendly, unassuming environment accessible to everyone. Edulis earns it's amazing reputation and builds on it's past successes every time we have the pleasure of dining there.

In my view, possibly the best restaurant in Toronto. Went here for a birthday dinner and were absolutely blown away by the courses and attentiveness of the staff. Each course was delicate, refined and perfectly complemented both the prior and subsequent course. An exceptionally crafted and executed menu. It will stay in your mind for a while. Full disclosure: we went here about 2 years ago (forgot to write a review then), but I'm confident from the recent reviews I've seen that it is still at the top of its game.

WHAT TO TRY?! Their set lunch menu! I wasn't expecting much and I also didn't know what to expect because I thought it would be a typical brunch/lunch menu! This restaurant is really small so it definitely gives you a cozy feeling. I say the restaurant can fit at most 25-30 people. Most of their ingredients are sourced from organic farms. I was wowed by their first dish which is their soup of Farro Verde. The ham from El Rincon Joselito was just utterly delicious!! The flavor from that ham was just incredible. The bread was made in house and was freshly served in a cute bag. Even though there were a lot of dishes, I liked the balance of veggies to meats and seafood. The flavors of the dishes were impeccable. We also ordered the scallops which were freshly deshelled to order. The simple addition of garlic and butter with some minced parsley got our mouths drooling because we could smell it from the other table as they were getting their order of scallops! The scallops are additional add ons to the fixed menu though. Overall, though this was a filling lunch, I would say it has been one of my best lunches I had in Toronto because just the ham itself, was worth my visit to this restaurant. The Sunday cake that they made which was an espresso cake, was also a great dessert to end a happy meal. LAST TIP?! The scallop is worth the order in addition to the fixed lunch menu because you can smell the sizzling scallops fill the entire restaurant the moment they take it out from their kitchen. If you like ham, you'll like the ham here which is from El Rincon Joselito!! The fixed lunch menu is not cheap ($55 pp) so I recommend you to save this lunch for special occasions!! And lastly, all their bottled wines are 50% off on sundays! Take advantage of that!

We found this restaurant on Canada’s 100 Best list. It is absolutely worth its position on the list and the excellent rating in terms of food quality, plating, service and environment. We ordered the 7 course tasting menu and it couldn’t be better! It was a lovely dinner!! Highly recommended.

Delicious experience, I went for Valentines. We got the add-on joselito ham which was delicious! Very seafood focused tasting menu which was fine by me! King crab, scallop, various whitefish, caviar, truffles, really tasty experience. You can tell the team puts a lot of care behind the menu and experiences. I don’t want to spoil the experience too much but lots of little touches here and there that made this night special. Also, their freshly baked sourdough was incredible when paired with the freshly whipped butter. I probably ate too much.

Honestly such an experience. I’ve personally never tried to book reservations here before, but I’ve heard they go really quick. They have a release date for the upcoming month or so and you have to have reserve the date before anyone else does. Luckily, our friends were able to secure us a spot for a Friday night. It’s a very cute and intimate restaurant. I would say maybe 20-30 people could fit in here. Inside is candle lit, making it a great spot for a date (or to enjoy by yourself). They only have one seating per table per night, which is why it’s probably so hard to book. It made it more special and unique because we didn’t feel rushed and we could just enjoy our company, take our time eating the phenomenal food and ask whatever questions we had. The menu was also personalized with our names on it - such a nice touch! The food itself was amazing. Each dish tasted so fresh and we loved that a lot of the seafood was sourced in Canada and the other ingredients from Ontario farms. The food was so good that it made us like and appreciate things we don’t usually like (that’s when you know it’s really good)! Even though the food was incredible, the star of the show for me was the bread. Oh my goodness. I probably had two whole loaves to myself, not even exaggerating. It was sooo good with the butter they had, and they just kept refilling the loaf every time we finished one. I honestly wanted to bring some home. Price wise, it seems pricier than other restaurants but you don’t tip on top. So it’s pretty comparable given the quality of food and service. Next time, we will try the lunch menu as we’ve heard good things about it too, and it’s supposed to be a different vibe. Overall, this actually ties the #1 spot for us for fine dining restaurants in Toronto!

There are no words... but know and trust that this is one of the top 10 restaurants in Canada for a reason! Edulis is ranked among the top 100 restaurants in Canada. I think it deserves the spot, it was a great experience and I will be returning. The Menu: The menu is a pre-fix menu and the dishes are not listed on the printed menu on the tables. Our host told us the dishes are frequently changed and there is a completely new menu approximately every 3 weeks. You need to be comfortable with not knowing what you're about to pay for. There are two options you can order, a 5 course and 7 course for $65 & $85 (the prices have since gone up). We were told that the amount of food is roughly the same as the portions will be adjusted down for the 7 course meal, although you will try two extra dishes, so ordering the 7 course meal solely for the purpose of getting more food may not be a feasible option. To start they brought out stuffed olives, house-made bread and butter. The seven courses we tried are briefly below: 1. Sashimi 2. Shredded snow crab 3. White asparagus and morrel mushroom 4. Georgian Bay lake trout with radishes and almonds 5. John Dory with muscat grapes and leeks 6. Chicken stuffed with foi gras, crawfish on a push pastry, and mushroom 7. Dessert came in two parts, one is a Cake with a rum syrum and creme, the other is a rhubarb frozen yogurt made with goats milk. Overall I was really happy with the menu. While the dishes are small they are very flavourful and rich, and as a result you dont find yourself wanting more. By the end of the meal I was definitely full. In addition to the above we tried their in house made sodas. We tried the apricot and elderflower which I would highly recommend. Atmosphere: The atmosphere is casual, and the restaurant looks like a small cottage inside and out. I think it is very well suited for a date night, as it does have a romantic vibe to it. Service: The service is good, not bad by any means but also not anything special. It was about what you expect from a higher end restaurant but nothing over the top. No complaints here. Parking: There is a parking garage just around the corner (about a 3 minute walk), with underground parking for about $4 which is nice and convenient. Will I go back? 100%.

Delicious food! A lot of flavour and care was definitely placed in their ingredients and menu. Staff are unbelievably polite and the fact that the gratuity is all included is honestly a stress reliever for me and proves to me that the staff are genuinely awesome because they don’t feel the pressures of receiving tip or delivering a “tip worthy” experience. Loved the ambience of the space and felt extremely safe in this current environment dining in. Thanks for an amazing experience!!

The only restaurant deserving of a star but at the end of day this spot doesn't need any recognition from an overly paid Tire Company. Hands down the best food I've had in Toronto. Each plate was simple yet the perfect execution made it magical. Too many chefs spawn great ideas in our city but no one can execute quite like Michael & Tobey. Cheers

Eduils is an exceptional restaurant. The food is very good and well presented. It is cozy and not pretentious. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly. I've visited more than once. I do feel that the pacing of the meal is quite relaxed and this often leads to 3 hours+ at the table, which is too long. Reducing the break between dishes by about 7-8 minutes would make it a near perfect experience, I think. That said, I sense the pacing is deliberate and not a lapse. They want you to enjoy your company and the dining experience at an unrushed pace. For me it ends up being like a great movie that runs about 30 minutes too long.

Great food and amazing service. Our server, Philip, was fantastic with explanation of courses and optional extras. Also great at recommending wine options; when we explained a general idea what we were looking for he was able to suggest some countries and varietals we wouldn't normally try that were perfect and great with the upcoming courses. Really enjoyed the entire experience.

I had a nice meal, though I prefer to have a less vegetable heavy tasting menu, even though I didn't have any truffle dishes. This place has mushrooms and truffles displayed everywhere. The half bottle wines does make it a nice touch since they have a great selection and recommendation. Probably won't go back for brunch, but I may check out the dinner menu one day. Super friendly service and quaint cozy place.

We were offered a variety of seafood dishes, all of which were absolutely beautiful. Each dish presented flavours, which danced in your mouth. Their main courses featured a fish dish and a pork dish. I was a great fan of the fish dish. The pork dish, unfortunately, was good but not mind-blowing.

I first visited Edulis in 2017 and had a fabulous experience - one of the best dining experiences in Toronto, both in terms of food and service. Recently I ordered their take out menu (offered on the weekends) as well as some cheese and vegetables from their suppliers (all available through the online ordering portal). The food provided was phenomenal and required minimal preparations/plating on our part - including a roast duck dish that was perfectly cooked so that when we warmed it up it did not become overcooked (we were impressed!). The packaging is all compostable and included fun labels and kind notes about how to prepare the food and the sourcing of some of the ingredients. The takeout menu is absolutely worth it and such an important way to support a wonderful restaurant like Edulis in these times. Highly recommend!!

Restaurant has 2 small dinning rooms but very cozy, with excellent seafood and service. Main menu contains the choice of either a 5 or 7-course Chef Special Dinner. We ordered the 7-course dinner for ourselves. The seafood and ingredients are from various regions of Canada and Portugal etc. and delicately and very well prepared. Absolutely delicious, and the fact that one doesn’t know what to expect on your next dish just makes it so much more fun. Absolutely a culinary experience you do not want to miss!

Lovely atmosphere with great food. If you want a cozy, intimate night, this is the place. Food is expertly served with friendly staff. Kitchen is fast and efficient and all the food flavours are clean and dance in your mouth.

rating only a 3 only cause we didn't have a opportunity to dine there, i guess we were to early. If in the area just before Stanley Park look for this beautiful restaurant..now that we know its their if in area will visit.

Fantastic brunch tasting menu (featuring half price wine) we added a number of their options because everything sounded so good. This is definitely a special occasion venue but the relaxed feel is really nice compared to other more pretentious high end places.

Considering the hype and difficulty in getting a reservation, my visit definitely fell short of my expectations. There were definitely several items that I truly loved. However, due to the nature of a tasting menu, there will be food that doesn't do anything for me.

This is my number one restaurant of all time. Had a great meal last night, truffle season. You walk into Edulis and immediately feel taken care of. The intimate vibe and cute mushroom decor. Service and food both impeccable. A must try.

There are not enough superlatives to describe the 10 course meal I enjoyed with my family at this restaurant tonight. The staff of Edulis leave nothing to be desired in attentiveness nor insight into the tasty variety of ingredients from varied corners of the world. All in all a uniquely delicious meal from start to finish.

Have eaten in the restaurant (beautiful natural light) but also now ordered from their Edulis at Home menu and it was amazing: packed and made with care.

The food was extremely pretentious. The sheer succulence was masked by the minuscule proportions. The so called waiter was constantly adjusting his wig-piece. I caught a glimpse of the beast nibbling on a banana. Mediocre at best.

Such a lovely special Valentine's menu. Charming service, beautiful food, outstanding wine pairings and unique venue. Not our first time, won't be the last!

This place was unique, the food was too notch. The service was above and beyond. The price is high but it's worth it. Overall, a great experience. I'll be going back (next year once my bank account recovers ;)

This place is almost a 5 star. They did a number of things right. Accommodated an infant, provided an amuse Bouche that created excitement, had a great first course of raw fish with a beautiful sear, took beef to a new level that took a type of cow that is typically not purchased for consumption, and a dessert that was complex yet simple. Finally they did a beautiful job of recognizing my birthday. Our overall service was fantastic!!!! What was missing or could have been improved? - the dry aged fish was missing flavour - the calamari was over cooked in some bites, perfectly cooked in others, and one of the piece was under where it had some slimyness. When you only get 3 pieces its important that it is all cooked perfectly - the beef was a cool idea but the cut was 60%fat and 40% beautifully cooked meat. I would have liked to see a 30% rendered fat, 70% meat ratio to equal out the bite. If remained as is, they give Alo a run for their money, with better service. If they improved they smaller details, watch out michelin guide!

Best dining experience in Canada I’ve had. Luncheon was over 3 hours of incredible food, with local and seasonal ingredients in a warm and charming setting. Everything was next level delicious and the price was extremely reasonable. Great value even at $100/person. Highly recommend if you get the chance.
