Absolutely had an INCREDIBLE time on last night's Haunted Walk tour of Black Creek Pioneer Village. Sarah was super knowledgeable, and amazing storyteller, and had so many eerie anecdotes to share with us on our tour. It was easy to enjoy ourselves while remaining socially distant from the other 4 people that joined us. There was the perfect balance of spooky stories, as well as being able to explore the experience the houses in a brief walk-through. We even spotted two spirits while on the tour -- on the stairwell of the Half-Way House, and someone walking along the path near the church cemetery. I'll definitely be coming back for another one of these tours and recommending it to my friends.

We had a great time at the Haunted Walk Tour of Black Creek Pioneer Village. Our tour guide Jack, was friendly, full of historical knowledge of the site and full of stories of personal experiences, those of other staff members and guests. It was a fun unique way to spend a Saturday night, we are defiantly going to try some of their other tours based off the great time we had

We did the 'Alone in the Dark' tour (and investigation), which was a lot of fun. I found it much more interactive than a typical tour. Seeing the heritage buildings at night in the dark was a treat. We tried out a great mix of Victorian and modern paranormal investigation techniques, so one needs to be open to the possibility of the unknown in order to get the most out of the experience. We used runes to set intent, we did a seance, we tried provocation followed by mirror gazing, a talking board session, and an estes spirit box. Not for the faint of heart! I must also say that our tour guide Tori was excellent. She was very knowledgeable, and did a great job of keeping everyone on track, while making the effort to connect with participants in a real way. She is passionate about what she does, and you can tell! Thanks for a great experience! Highly recommended!

I went on the Distillery District Tour in August and it was incredible! Our guide made the tour very enjoyable, including lots of history as well as spooky tales. Even though I lived in Toronto for 6 years, I only knew a couple of the many stories they told. The beautiful ambiance of the district combined with great story telling and witty puns makes this a great tour for Toronto residents and visitors alike!

I was visiting Toronto for work and decided to do the Distillery District walking tour. I had a fantastic time! We had a great tour guide who was INCREDIBLY knowledgeable about the history of the area and they had a great sense of humor! These tours are always a great way to learn about the city you're visiting, and I'll absolutely go again to another one of their tours the next time I am in town! Definitely recommend!

Had a great experience doing the ghost walk in Toronto ! Our tour guide, Clarice, was an amazing story teller and made everything really interesting. Unfortunately didn’t see any ghosts but still loved hearing about all the stories, I would definitely go back for another tour or try some of the other ones that they offer.

It was so great! We got to learn about some of the history of the city and hear some great ghost stories. The tour guide was so friendly and knowledgable. My son wasn't originally excited to do a walking tour but afterwards told me he really enjoyed and would love to do it again - so great job!

Great tour! One of the people I was with had an experience and had to leave one of the buildings. It was great to be able to go into buildings! Neat to see the houses first hand. Fun time! The Mill was my favourite building, it wasn’t on the list.

Allison was visible in her costume and quickly helped us sign upIt was a spur of the moment decision to attend the walk in Toronto Historic Distillery District. It was interesting walk. Allison was superb with her dramatic flair and was very friendly. her storytelling is good and the walk was very interesting. I didn't know of even the recent haunted incidents there so enjoyed myself. It's worth doing even if you are longtime Toronto resident.

I highly recommend that the next ghost walk you take be at Black Creek Pioneer Village. Our guide Kent took my daughter and I through an evening of great story telling and spirit events. I have visited Black Creek Pioneer Village but have not had such a personal experience as was had on the Ghost Walk. This is my family’s 3rd Toronto Ghost Walk and we can’t wait for the next one! Thank you to Kent and the Toronto Ghost Walk!

I've done the haunted walks of London, England, Quebec city, Halifax, the Toronto Islands and downtown Toronto so far. Each has it's own flavor to it depending on the guide and stories offered. These tour guides have become an easy go-to option for my wife and I as they provide an insightful city walk tour that includes edgy bits of history to it. Guides have always been dressed up in costume typically with black capes and lanterns. Creepy, gory and eerie tales all based on true events... the results has only been an enjoyable time (weather pending).

Zoey was our ghost guide and she was great! She made sure our group was always in tact. Awesome to see how they used to live and the stuff they used to use on a daily basis. The ghost stories definitely left you feeling wondering.

Such a fun adventure. It was a great way to explore the city and get to find out more information about some of the local buildings. I might have even captured one of the local ghost in the window. I definitely would like to join some of their other adventures. Sare was an amazing story teller. They did an amazing job bringing light to the city.

The Ghost Walk at Black Creek Village was awesome! It was scary to walk around the village in the dark but we had flashlights. The stories were informative and scary all at the same time. It was nice to be able to walk through the homes in the dark. It put the stories in more perspective. Our guide Sare was awesome as well. I would recommend this ghost walk to everyone.

An amazing evening of an incredibly haunting history of the Distillery District of Toronto. Zack, our tour guide was very well-versed enough to answer all our odd questions, & gifted in storytelling. We were a group of 5 and it was a manageable, fun, tour for our whole crew. The final stop is one of the best stories we’ve heard on our Haunted Walks Tours. We’ve enjoyed walks in Kingston, and Fort Henry prior as well. 5/5 would *highly* recommend this event!!

We had the pleasure of taking our kids on a tour at Black Creek with Irene, our tour guide. She was friendly, knowledgeable and engaging. The kids were SO into the tour (9 & 11) and got genuinely freaked out (in a good way!) Huge thanks, these folks are very talented storytellers who genuinely love the paranormal 👻 Thank you for a really wonderful family night out 🎃

Such a different vibe walking through the village at night… very eerie. Kent was such an awesome guide, very knowledgeable and a great storyteller. Great experience! They allowed people from another tour time join ours resulting in over 20 people, which we felt was too many.

Fantastic experience with the Haunted Walk of Toronto. We learned so much about the Distillery District and the ghosts that haunt it. The tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend The Haunted Walk of Toronto if you are looking for an outdoor event. It is a great idea for a party as they allow you to book private tours.

Went to haunted walk black creek pioneer village and it was amazing the details in the story telling and the fact we were aloud in the buildings made it that much spooky and I also caught orbs in some of the haunt places we visited .

Our black-caped, lantern-carrying, brilliantly coiffed tour guide was Sarah, who led the "Spirits of the Distillery District Ghost Tour" and regaled us with creepy tales and interesting history. Sarah was friendly, charming and brimming with Toronto tales. In addition to the ghost stories, the tour is a great way to explore the historic Distillery District. On the scary scale, I'd say this is a 5 (spooky enough to keep you looking over your shoulder, but not so scary as to keep you up all night). Thank you, Sarah!

Last night a large group of us went to the Black Creek Pioneer Village Haunted Walk and IT WAS AWESOME! Lauren is a phenomenal guide, enlightening us with chilling tales of the past while guiding us through the present. Lauren is a brilliant story teller, captivating in their approach, adding humour and gravitas to the stories. They had us on tender hooks as we walked throughout all of the old buildings! This was an amazing experience that myself and 19 other adults did for my birthday. Definitely a unique, active experiences I won't soon forget! Thanks Lauren!

Went on a tour with Katie this evening and she was amazing! The tour consists of walking around the distillery district as the guide tells you stories of creepy ghost sightings and the history of the area. Our guide was very friendly and told the stories in a very entertaining way. I went ahead and cross checked some stories later on Google to see how "true" these stories are and actually did find some evidence of people coming forward claiming these things happened to them, and the history being accurate. Our guide was helpful and was able to answer most of our questions! Will definitely attend more haunted walks after this

Had a blast on the distillery district tour with my girlfriend. We ended up being the only people on the tour so it was even more special. Tour guide was fantastic and she was great at answering any questions we had along the tour and really put her all into the story telling. Definitely recommend as a fun little walking tour to take if you're downtown and like learning a little history of the area along with some spooky stories!

Our Guide was Quin(sp). They were awesome! Very personable, professional and our group was thoroughly entertained. Quin is a gem, they deserve all the appreciation, thank you so much Quin. You kept us laughing and gasping and you captivated your audience all night!

The ghost was was overall okay. I felt the guide was knowledgeable in the area of history and storytelling. She answered all questions with ease and was kind and polite. The buildings were interesting, although I do wish we could have gone in more of them. I think this would have made the tour more creepy and atmospheric. Also, I found the overall experience to be quite rushed. I would have preferred more time in each building and room to read the plaques and take pictures. This was a major downfall for me, as I was hoping a little more from the experience.

  • 4/5 Barb B. 2 years ago on Google
I really enjoyed this experience. I would’ve liked to have a longer walk through Black Creek. Perhaps I wouldn’t feel that way if the weather wasn’t as perfect as it was. All in all it was very enjoyable. Our guide was knowledgable and well spoken and very polite. She did an excellent job! She was both Funny and spooky! Great job!

Pioneer Village Ghost Walk Tours are a fun way to spend the evening at Pioneer Village at night with the whole family and friends. It is a very different experience than walking through Pioneer Village during the day, at night it is good old paranormal fun. The tour guides are very entertaining, tell great spooky stories and are very knowledgeable about events that happened with the original families that once occupied these vintage heritage homes and businesses from an era long gone into the abyss of time. Book a Haunted Walk Ghost Tour, you will not regret it.

It was a lot of fun! Our guide was knowledgeable and you could tell he really wanted us to make contact He was great at leading us through the seance, scrying, ouija board, emf meters and spirit box The only reason it wasn't 5 stars was because our contact attempts were unsuccessful Was also excited to look over my pictures after and see a face behind the fence (zoom in to the left side of the first pic)

We’ve been longtime fans of The Haunted Walk virtual campfires and experienced our first ghost tour this weekend. We loved it! The Ghosts of Black Creek Pioneer Village was so much fun. We had toured the village recently during the day and coming back in the evening with The Haunted Walk, we felt like VIPs. The village was dark, empty and was an entirely different experience from the daytime. Our guide Tammy was an engaging storyteller and brought the ghost stories to life for us. We highly recommend this experience!!

Margot hosted my husband and I and 3 friends for a private tour of Black Creek Pioneer Village. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed learning about the ghosts that haunt the Village. Margot was extremely knowledgable and passionate about the topic at hand and was friendly and encouraged us to ask questions. We would recommend this experience to anyone looking for a unique nighttime/spooky educational experience, you’ll learn a lot about the area and the people who inhabited it, and if you’re lucky you might even see or hear one of them. Fingers crossed for next time!

Went on the tour at Black Creek Pioneer Village over the weekend and had a great time! Zac was a great tour guide and a fantastic story teller. Being able to investigate these old buildings with nothing but your flashlights was an extra creepy touch! Looking forward to checking out the other tours around Toronto in the future!

Our family visited the Ghost Walk last night at Black Creek Pioneer village and it was very entertaining. Our guide Margo was informative and had the perfect voice for a tour such as this. A couple in our group had some very eerie feelings from a few of the rooms and 3 of us saw a curtain move from an upstairs window....the foggy, misty weather added to the overall spookiness of it all. Some freaky things happening there for sure.

I’ve been to Pioneer Village many times over the past 40+ years but never at night. Our tour lead by Casandra was fascinating, spooky and informative all at the same time! I highly recommend this tour to see another side of Pioneer Village and it’s the thoroughness and enthusiasm of Casandra that made this a memorable experience. In future visits to Pioneer Village, I’ll likely look all around to see if there’s any spirits in my path😀

Attended a walk at Black Creek Pioneer Village, Phi was a fun guide, very charismatic with a sense of humour. I enjoyed walking around the village at night and listening to the stories, it was a good activity for spooky season. Thank you!

We had a terrific time! It was a shame for them but great for us that the other party of four decided it was too chilly to do the walk, so we had Jack all to ourselves. He did a marvellous job telling the stories he intended to tell, and was flexible enough to meander from the script to engage in our many (likely annoying) questions and stories of our own! Thanks so much - definitely a great family memory.

  • 4/5 Tanin M. 2 years ago on Google
Great stories. Sarah was very much in character. Wish we could have had more time in the buildings.. felt a bit rushed. Also the village should have soft dark music in the background or in the houses. It can add to the effect and create a more scary environment. Overall it was a great experience.. would def do it again.

The Ghost Walk was very entertaining and informative! It was a great way to spend the evening and the distance walked, and pacing, were more than comfortable. We did the distillery tour and we discovered a lot of history and haunts in a decent sized area. Our host was great and the whole experience was memorable! Would definitely recommend.

My mom and I joined the Spirits of Distillery Haunted Walk last night and had a great time! The tour guide was a great story teller and it was interesting to learn about a lot of the history and buildings. You don't get to go inside any of the buildings which was a bit of a bummer since other Haunted Walks we've done (such as Ottawa) allowed us to go in, but the tour was still nice.

  • 5/5 Sarah h. 2 years ago on Google
We loved this haunted walk! Our guide was Jack. He was a very good guide and had some spooky stories for us! I was pleasantly surprised that the tour included going into some of the buildings! We got some interesting photos and had a few weird experiences. We would highly recommend a haunted walk in the village!

A knowledgeable and engaging guide named Noelle led us through the old pathways of the University of Toronto with an old lantern, looking a little other-worldly in her black cape. She was a fabulous story-teller, and she drew us deep into the mystery and magic of the stories because she told them with such passion that it seemed like they were her own stories. Her timing was superb as she brought us to the apex of each old tale. We had an amazing time, and we learned so much about our own U of T! I've already recommended it to my friends. We also encountered some passers by who interrupted and asked questions, but Noelle handled them with warmth and skill, not missing a beat of her performance. We loved it!

Our tour guide Jack did an excellent job. Not only did they have a wealth of historical facts about the Village but their enthusiasm during the walk was infectious! Loved the stories and the sharing of their ghostly personal experiences! Recommended experience for all those paranormal enthusiasts!

It was my first haunted walk tour, never been to a haunted tour or any tour to be honest. Sara M made me feel confortable she told the haunted stories of spirits of distillery in the best way possible, they where scary and fun and the most cool part was the history behind them. The walk was educative and our Gide was really kind, safe, professional and approchable. Sara M and the haunted walk made me get interested in more haunted walks for the near future! I’d say it’s a nice activity for couples, families and singles to treat yourself and others or just pass a fun, scary and educative time🌞
