Always a delight to stroll around the Historic Distillery District. Each day you will see and enjoy something new and different. Shopping, Arts and entertainment. Restaurant's, wine and beer. Indoor seating and patio's to suit anyone's tastes. Fine chocolate, great clothing stores, pet stores, bagel shops, coffee delights.

So amazing 👏🏾 we thoroughly enjoyed it. This location is more suitable for young adults. But kids can definitely have fun🥰. The main attraction is the giant Christmas 🎄 tree. The best time to visit is 4pm and stay until 6pm so that you can enjoy the lights✨. The payment is contactless so don't bring cash💵! It gets extremely busy on weekends in the evenings. No social distancing but everyone must show proof of vaccination and wear a mask😷. There are endless food opportunities. Chicken 🍗& waffle🧇 in a cone, crepes🥞, specialty drinks☕🫖🍻 mulled wine 🍷 bailey's hot chocolate and warm apple cider etc. There are many social media worthy spots to take 📸 . And live Christmas carolers 🎶. I've gone 3 times this year and will definitely be back for more.

Very nice Christmas Ville that is great to bring kids around. A little bit pricey just to walk around (15 per person). I would recommend it for a one time visit, not for a repeat visit, unless you are going to experiment the different restaurants and foods that are sold locally. During the day, it is a pleasant place for either a hot chocolate or a beer.

A great touristy place to visit for eating, drinking and shopping. I was there in the evening and admission was free. The atmosphere is fantastic. It's an old Toronto neighborhood, literally a short walk from downtown - I found the walk to be pleasant and easy. The art galleries are great. It's easy to spend a few hours here, and it's worth coming back again and again. We had a great time exploring the neighborhood. Recommended!

People like me who love winter would try to find a gateways to celebrate Christmas spirit wherever they go. This place definitely gives you a true Christmas spirit and also offers some amazing spots to click memorable pictures. Try some fruit cake and eggnog latte and make sure if you wanna get some good pictures for your social accounts, you have a good phone/cam with nice flashlight or night view settings. You may not find people maintaining physical distance so please take extra precautions.

It’s been ages since I visited the Distillery District, so it was nice to see all the changes with new shops. Nice stop to take a stroll with many photo ops, plenty of options to eat, or grab a drink or coffee. We’ll have to return and try one of the many restaurants! Parking fees vary depending on how close you want. Weekends are busier.

Stunning district in all seasons. Currently the Christmas Holiday Market is going on and definitely worth it. I attended on a weekday and there wasn't a ticket involved. Vaccine passes were checked at entrances which was great. It was crowded though, no distancing.

Nice and lively outdoors, many bars and restaurants concentrated in this area. Clothing and decor shops too( there’s also a candle store). Steep but interesting and great food and drinks. Lights and sculptures outdoors lend it more charm and appeal. Lively place to even go for a late evening stroll; we went on Christmas Day when everywhere else would be shut but this place still had crowds and a festive environment despite the closed stores and eateries. Great place to take pictures too

This place was recommended to us as part of our visit to Toronto. And I have to say it did not disappoint. It was a little bit quiet due to Covid but there is a great selection of fantastic bars and restaurants. The whole place looks amazing and feels special to walk around.

I visited the district for the winter village festival 2021. Fell in love with the place and the lighting. The Christmas Tree looked so beautiful. I also loved the market. I bought some amazing stuff from the village market., it felt so good visiting the place after the pandemic.

The area is pretty small, but it's so pretty here! Mostly pedestrian streets during the day. Plenty of cafes, restaurants and other fun places here, lots of festivals and exhibits in the summer, always something going on. Really cool and highly recommended for a night out visit to Toronto. Parking is pricey around here but some street parking is available too.

It’s so sad to see that due to COVID-19, we’re not having the fun and amazing Christmas Market in Distillery District. But still, no holiday season can go without spending some time here and see the decorations. And definitely, supporting the local businesses.

Wonderful place to visit in Toronto in summer. I visited during 2019 summer. Very busy place. You get great beer at Mill st brewery. Easily accessible via public transport. Avoided this year due to covid but I will surely visit next year if life goes back to normal. I would definitely recommend a visit to this place.

A very unique area with many art-selling shops, and somewhat expensive restaurants. There are large sculptures decorating the Distillery, they really help make the place feel unique. I was a fan of the historical buildings, and the relics stored in a showcase.

It was a pleasure to visit this place, day after its opening and my family and I had fun with foods, music and lights. Big ups for the organizers! Been quite long time since we have such spirit full of good vibes due to covid and bringing back the event is a good service for Torontians who suffered from pandemic fatigues. Beautiful lights + beautiful people from different walks of life gave the event extra flavor. If you are a parent, take your toddlers early and let them experience the early vibe of Christmas.

Went to this Toronto Christmas Market yesterday. Had a huge lineup to go in. Have to book entry ticket online for $8 person, which is not bad.. You need to have QR code and ID to go inside.. weather wasn't supporting well to enjoy most of it but overall the place is good..

Visited the winter village in 2021. It was super crowded on a Sunday evening. We went around 6. Please remember to pre purchase tickets as well as have your vaccine passport and I.d. ready. Everything looked great and festive. Love that this is a pet friendly venue which allows you to bring Fido along. Personally, I felt that the food and drink was extremely over priced considering the tiny quantity being served. Compared to the 2019 setting, the 2021 one was not as impressive. Would definitely recommend if you're in and around the city and looking for something different to do.

The market is a great place to visit for people of all ages. Covid procedures are being handled exceptionally well. I almost prefer going through Covid than before as the crowds are a lot more manageable now than they ever were before. So much to drink, eat and see. Highly recommend going.

A great way to celebrate the holiday and winter season. During the weekdays and pre-evening hours it is really quiet and you are able to attend anything without a wait. We had a great time and enjoyed our time. They were very organized at the entrance and businesses to keep things moving along. If you have COVID concerns, it's best to visit on weekdays and during the day. If you're not as concerned, weekday evenings should be great as well.

I love this place. It’s been so beautifully restored and has lots of lovely shops and businesses. Sadly, I think many of them are very high- priced and outside the budget of many Torontonians. It’s a lovely place to walk around explore the high end shops and galleries, get some coffee, ice cream or the restaurant. I believe there is also a theatre here as well - I saw a live performance here several years ago. The parking can be a bit of a challenge (as it is at many places in this city). We really enjoyed watching the film Ariel at the ICFF this year. Not cheap tickets, but a fun outdoor experience (which apparently they had the ability to move indoors if it rained.) The Christmas market is probably one of their best events, that I know of.

My favorite place in Toronto, this pedestrian-only area was original home to whiskey distilleries with 19th century quaint buildings. It’s a gorgeous example of Victorian-era industrial architecture with its cobbled streets and art galleries, full of hip indie restaurants, boutiques and beautiful cafés. There is always something going on, from dances on the streets, concerts and all kind of events. I loved the vibes here!

We went here for this years 2023 Dior Christmas Market! It was phenomenal, it’s such a cute place which features many holiday festivities and fun pop up shops. It’s very vibey and cozy. Everyone is there for the same reason, to spread holiday cheer. It made it easy for people to enjoy and have fun. We also saw a proposal live at the tree!!!!

The place was really well organized. There were a lot of options for food and drinks but it kind of got muted because of the rain 🌧️ that day. But the ambience was lit and unaffected by the weather. I would recommend the bakery at the exit. Their pies were really good.

I went there yesterday in lockdown to enjoy the lights. I liked the place and decorations, especially the tree and lights. Place Islas quiet crowded but everyone was wearing masks. The amazing thing was that lot of kids were with their parents and they were enjoying. Everyone was busy in photography and videography. Enjoyable place to visit.

Beautiful place & quaint stores- especially during Christmas season/Market. Cluny is exceptional. It’s our family’s annual tradition to visit the Christmas Market & then stop in@Cluny for dinner/drinks/desserts! So many cool 😎 vendors & things to see! The Christmas tree is so beautiful 😍💯

The most beautiful place to visit in the evening. During the Christmas break, it's a must visit place if you can. Nowadays with COVID, you're required to wear mask in the premise.

  • 5/5 Cesar G. 3 years ago on Google
This a very nice place! However people need to learn to social distance. Due to the many anti-maskers and stuborn visitors (who refuse to keep their distance or wear mask), my family and I had to stay away and cannot enjoy a walk at night here on the weekend. Will wait to go on a less crowded day.

  • 5/5 Luckzani B. 3 years ago on Google
Not an actual Christmas market, but the stores that are already there are still open for takeout and there are seats outdoors. Masks required even though we're outdoors. I went around 4pm? It wasn't dark enough to appreciate the lights but by 5:30pm, a lot more people appeared. Felt safer to leave at that point. Enjoyed grabbing a bite to eat and some hot chocolate with a friend!

Always love visiting the district during the holiday season especially when all the holdiay decorations are out. Brings on the Christmas fun even more. Great restaurants in the distillery it self. There are a lot of small businesses open so its an amazing way to support them. Do visit earlier on as it does get crowded later in the month. Excellent spot for a romantic date with your significant other or even a great spot to spend some family time. Not much for kids to do there tho. Parking can be a challenge but not a surprise as it is downtown Toronto.

  • 4/5 Eric K. 3 years ago on Google
Quite a gorgeous place for a walk. Visited both before and after the start of second lockdown order. The dimmed mood of the square during the 2020 winter holiday was romantic. With less foot traffic made it feel less hectic while those who can open their doors gave this place a small town feel. When the decorations were alight for Christmas was very festive and drew a large photographic crowd towards the historic Distillery. Looking through the few accessible public areas and through windows of close-door businesses, the area is full of history and the sense of pride of it's past and maintaining the facade of the century old architecture. There isn't much beauty well aged in this city, the few that keep it have good company with The Distillery.

This place can be quite magical, especially with their festivals, themed events, and activities that drive traffic to this area every season. The parking is fine actually once you realize they have Lots all around and even underneath. I would suggest looking it up beforehand. Great place for a date and taking pictures for the gram.

Cold day during covid-19. Nothing much open. Actually good time to visit. Not crowded.

  • 5/5 Leonard E. 2 years ago on Google
What's not to like if this tourist area has received a designation as a world heritage site? There are plenty of venues surrounding a backdrop of cobblestone streets and 19th century buildings. The real bonus unlike many Toronto Ontario attractions is that it's pedestrian-only! Pick a restaurant or bar and start enjoying the surroundings or just venture here to sample the many staged performances (pre and post COVID-19) lockdowns. Toronto P street parking availability is good if your are one of the fortunate vehicle owners to find a spot.

This place is an open market that has lots of restaurants, bars and boutiques. It is the go to place on any day. The fact that it's free to enter makes it easier to visit all year long. The Christmas market they do very nice and crowded to a limit where we had to wait in line for over 30 minutes just to get a Belgian waffles. And in summer with a sunny day you'll find every single shop has tables and chairs outside(patios) and is packed. Highly recommend

The Distillery is an amazing and eclectic selection of boutiques, galleries and food. There is literally something for everyone. Love how there's always something different to see at different times of year, but of course the Christmas Market is the most exciting. Glad to see it is happening this year!

Such a cute little place. So many shops and cute restaurants here! Loved walking around and taking it all in. A beautiful experience.

A lovely district that once housed a large whiskey distillery with pedestrian-only walking areas along cobblestone streets for tourists and visitors around to browse. Very lovely area to browse and if you want to check out any art galleries, outdoor sculptures and boutique shops. There's also several restaurants and bars as well to dine at while you're in the area. It's always a nice site to view the artifacts from the distillery areas like the bottling & canning operations, malting exhibit and etc for the history of the Gooderham & Worts Distillery. There's also several meaningful art pieces throughout the site like IT (Big Spider), Symbolic Peace (Peace Sign), Love Locks (locks on a LOVE word), and etc. It's definitely pretty photogenic and attracts a lot of people to visit. Also note, they also host The Toronto Christmas Market as well. The 504A King streetcars end here at the Distillery Loop now so it's even more convenient to get to on the east side of The Distillery District.

Gorgeous place in the city all times of the year. The Christmas market is great but I recommend going on a weekday during the day if you don't like crowds and lines.

Visited the Christmas Bazar for the 1st time and loved it. Vaccine certificates and ID were checked at the entrance. There were long lines and most were wearing masks. A variety of food stalls, live music and wonderfully decorated stores add to the festive ambience and the Christmas Tree looks amazing. A man went down on his knees to propose, right next to the tree :) An evening well spent. Definitely worth visiting.

Its historic for its business in Distillery. The festive night life comes alive with glittering lights, food stalls and restaurants, shopping and a large well lit Christmas Tree 🌲 Go with your friends or family or with kids, good time to spend an evening. Follow COVID protocol, mask up. They require Vax proof at entrance along with I'd card.

Went during Christmas market time, there were lines to get in and they were checking vaccination status, which was great because I was concerned about the large crowd. It was nice knowing that everyone was vaccinated. Highly recommend everyone visit if they have a chance, and enjoy some of the drinks that are being served. The apple cider with whiskey was especially nice on a cold day.

Visited the distillery district for the winter market and had a great time checking out all the shops and galleries. Before 4pm, I was able to enter without a ticket, and while it was busy, everything was still very easy to navigate. I only had to wait in line at two stores to comply with capacity limits. This was a great choice for my first visit to Toronto.

  • 5/5 Minerva A. 2 years ago on Google
I just went to the Christmas Market at the Distillery District and it was such a lovely evening. The tickets are about $9 per person and the place is covid regulated at the entrance. The whole space is flat and with no stairs around so it’s got easy access for handicaps as well. The Christmas market also happens to be dog friendly so be ready to bring your pooch if you want to. There’s plenty of food options that go from cheap like tacos, doughnuts, schnitzel and whatnot to fancier dine-in experiences at one of the restaurants around, there’s French, Mexican and seafood options. And of course there’s lots of hot cocoa to warm up during the visit. Lastly, you can purchase a lock for $10 and hang it in the “LOVE” sign right in the middle of the distillery, it’s so cute!

  • 5/5 Alice 2 years ago on Google
It's a super touristy spot but as a local, I love it here! Whether it's taking my dog for a stroll or doing a little shopping. The restaurants here are also amazing!

When I was browsing pictures of this area in Google, it looked exciting. In fact - it was pretty, but nothing wow. Nice area to spend a time with family, even though we had a horrible experience in a restaurant which I have already shared my feedback about. My advise - visit this area before New Year and during evening time - it becomes really lovely when it's dark.

Historic site in Toronto. Very easy to reach as the TTC (Public Transportation)stops right in front of the entrance. Visiting by night is a must, as the decorations and lights are on full display. There's a lot of craft shops, food stores, pubs, and several places to eat. The outdoor decoration during winter is beautiful. An absolute must if you visit Toronto.

Do you know the coolest thing about getting to know the Distillery? Is being able to accompany her at various times of the year! As soon as I arrived in Toronto it was one of the first places I visited in winter. Even with cold and snow, the space has an unforgettable charm. Lots of lights, lots of local shops, bars and restaurants. An environment that fits all family and friends. The space is huge and surrounded by a lot of art and people full of sympathy and education. It is very worth visiting and tasting a local serve, a local ice cream and a local beer. There are some parking lots nearby, but it's also very easy to reach by bus and metro. Good accessibility for people with disabilities, with spacious and well-maintained spaces!

What an amazing place. To incorporate the history of distillery with the new shops and restaurants was a wonderful concept. The pictures and artifacts are an extra touch. I also did the Spirits of the Distillery Ghost Tour. The guide added even more history associated with the distillery district.

  • 4/5 Catarina R. 11 months ago on Google
We visited in the evening, and only a few restaurants were open in the district, but most of them were closing, or their kitchen was already closed. We weren't able to eat there for that reason but walked around and saw the place, the historic buildings and the many cute little shops around there. Will be back during the day to experience the whole thing. The lock art in the distillery district is amazing, makes us think of Brooklyn Bridge, and made us whish we had our own lock to put there. We will be coming back earlier in the day and with our own engraved lock like so many cool ones we saw there.

A great spot to celebrate life with family friends or total strangers... It's vibrant, cheerful and lively!!! Great food, awesome vibes and a safe atmosphere. What more do you want, I guess parking??? There is ample paid parking right next to the distillery entrance. "Love thy District"

With a laid back vibe, this placed surprised me the moment I stepped there. It is so well done that it became one of my favorite areas in Toronto. There are many cozy boutiques, art galleries, breweries and coffee shops. During the summer there is an open air cinema where they play international movies. You can easily spend here half a day or a nice evening with friends.

A charming slice of Toronto's history... Though not extensive in size, its compact and pedestrian-friendly layout offers a unique blend of the past and present, making every step you take an immersive experience. Housed within beautifully restored Victorian Industrial architecture, you'll find an eclectic mix of artisan boutiques, galleries, and trendy dining spots. Its cobblestone streets and heritage buildings are a testament to Toronto's rich history. The Distillery District may be small in scale, but it's bursting at the seams with culture, creativity, and a distinct character that's not to be missed.

Visiting the Distillery District in Toronto during Christmas time is like stepping into a holiday wonderland. It's one of the coolest places to get into the Christmas spirit. First off, the whole place is decked out with holiday lights. They're literally everywhere - wrapped around trees, lining the streets, and draped over buildings. As soon as it gets dark, the whole area sparkles and it's like you're walking in a Christmas postcard. The Distillery District also hosts a huge Christmas Market. It's filled with stalls where you can buy all sorts of neat gifts, from handmade crafts to unique food items. You might even find some cool stuff you'd never see in regular stores. One of the best things is the food and drink. There are tons of options, including traditional holiday treats and hot drinks. Make sure to try the hot chocolate - it's perfect for a chilly evening. And let's not forget about the giant Christmas tree. It's covered in lights and ornaments, and it's one of the best places to snap a holiday picture. In short, if you're in Toronto during Christmas time, the Distillery District is a must-visit. The lights, the market, the food - it all comes together to create a super festive atmosphere. It's a great way to get into the holiday spirit.

Love the lively vibes of this place every time I visit. Lots of cafés and bakeries for breakfast and brunches, distilleries and restaurants for brunch and lunches as well as dinners. Half an hour walk to CN tower, Roger's center, and Ripley's aquarium or a 15 min drive or bicycle ride. It's gorgeous at night. I highly recommend a visit to this place

Toronto's Distillery Historic District is a seamless fusion of past and present. Its preserved industrial architecture hosts contemporary galleries, boutiques, and eateries, creating a dynamic cultural hub. Walking its cobblestone streets feels like a step back in time, yet the energy and vibrancy are unmistakably modern. It's a must-visit destination where Toronto's history meets its thriving urban spirit.

29/Oct/2023: felt like a fall day - we went for a friend's birthday. The service was great. They really attempt to be as authentic Mexican as possible. The food is VERY expensive. ~$8 for a taco. Does the food taste amazing? The food IS good but not $27 amazing. The service is fast and efficient. The restaurant was a bit too warm for our liking which influenced our decision in leaving early. Overall, good restaurant. Lots of artistic Mexican art. Would recommend. P.S.: we didn't wait as we had a reservation

The ambiance is very lively and colorful. We went during the weekdays, so it is not that crowded, plus it is free aside from parking, of course. There are a lot of small stalls and hand made product which you can buy but a bit pricey. But, hey. Support small business. Otherwise, any season you can visit Distillery because they have different event each season.
