The cathedral is simply beautiful, both on the outside with its huge garden and green areas, and on the inside. At the main entrance there is no access ramp for wheelchair users and people with low mobility, but at the side entrance there is an access ramp. The place still carries a lot of history, and objects and chairs from ancient times. It is beautiful to be able to see the giant pianos and every detail of the stained glass and sculptures. Visitation is free, and if you want to help the space, you can make donations at the church's archdiocese. it is really worth putting on your visit itinerary, and if you have the opportunity, attend one of the masses (timetables are available at the entrance to the church)

The Cathedral Church of Saint James is a must see if you’re in Toronto! We just happened upon it while walking to see the St. Lawrence Market and feel quite fortunate! It stands super tall and the architecture on the exterior is very beautiful! We weren’t able to go inside but from pictures I’ve seen it is always quite lovely!

St James Cathedral is a beautiful example of the Gothic Revival style. The bell tower is among the tallest in the world at 305 ft above street level. It’s one of the oldest churches in Toronto, the building was completed in 1853. The stained glass windows was made by a Toronto artist, Stuart Reid. The organ was built by a company from Quebec. It has 87 ranks, 67 speaking stops over four manuals and six divisions, and 5101 pipes. It’s quite beautiful and worth a visit!

It was a serene sight especially in the evening... the courtyard is huge with lots of space where you can just relax. Sadly I couldn't enter as it was too late, but I am sure the interior would be a much better sight to see...

Had an opportunity to walk around The Cathedral Church of St. James for the first time living in Toronto. Really amazing building if you are standing in front and looking up at the work that went into building this church years ago.

Modest Gothic in the city center. A great place to reflect on life. There is a small, well-kept park around. 10/10.

Beautiful Catholic church. This is a downtown spot and many people take pictures here. However, it is not easy to park and we recommend using TTC. It's a great place for a lot of people to walk around and enjoy a little walk. There are plenty of shops nearby so it is a good place to enjoy a coffee or a simple snack.

A disturbing trend I've seen with churches across this city is the flag of Satan they proudly fly alongside their imagery of Christ, as if it's some sort of humiliation ritual. The leaders of these synagogues of satan will receive their due praise from the world and likewise their due judgement from God. 1 Corinththians 6:9 Romans 1:26-32 Matthew 18:6 Mark 10:6-9

An impressive building with a tall tower and spire. A splendid, serene interior houses beautiful stained glass windows which tell stories of the Bible and the history of the Christian church. On the rear wall of the cathedral is the pipe organ. Definitely worth a visit.

Beautiful cathedral: breathtaking stained glass artwork, original wooden seats that are over 100 years old, choir sings with angelic voices. The church is definitely something that you’d want to go see. For the architecture and history especially.

St. James Cathedral's Gothic Revival architecture is reflected throughout the structure. Every part of a Gothic cathedral is directly related to a "core dimension" which is used as an effort to achieve harmony and organic unity within the building where everything is linked rationally and proportionally, creating a coherent whole. Every element in the cathedral—including the stained glass windows, the pointed arches, high ceilings, the pinnacles, even the flying buttresses..

This is a beautiful Anglican cathedral and is both an Ontario Heritage Property and was designated as a heritage site by Heritage Toronto. It has some of the most exquisite stain glass windows and a unique exterior resplendent with the features of Revival Gothic style very similar to French Gothic cathedrals. St. James has the tallest tower and spire in Canada. Worth a visit!

I am a parishioner and attend most Sundays. BAS at 9:00 BCP at 11:00 except the first Sunday of the month. Beautiful Cathedral in the heart of downtown Toronto. Evensong at 4:30 is spiritually uplifting. One of the most historic sites in the city that is celebrating its 225th anniversary this year.

Beautiful place but terrible heart. The women staff is very rude to believers. They insult faith, hypocrites! How do you meet God at the end of the world?

Nice looking church. Once it was the tallest building in Toronto.

The Cathedral is a welcoming and inclusive space, with a great staff. COVID has been tough on churches, and it will be great to see more life return once COVID subsides. Beautiful at night or in the day with wonderful organ music and a great choir.

Beautiful Cathedral close to St. Lawrence market so if you're around the market, a walk to here is just a few minutes. The surrounding is nice too. You can sit and relax and there's this tiny garden in front of it.
