The view of our room was amazing! The beds were very comfortable and the pillows, so nice! I was so comfy and relaxed I unexpectedly fell asleep watching tv, and not the slowly nodding off kind of sleep, the fast knock out good sleep. The pool and jacuzzi were nice, however I found the pool a little on the cold side. There are towels at the pool so you don't need to bring them down from your room. The tub in my room wasn't draining and both telephones had static when I tried to called "0" but other than that no complaints. The staff is friendly and the valet service is very nice and handy. Overall 4 star experience.

Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Room was older but clean and comfortable. Free parking and excellent breakfast and dog friendly. I only take away one star as we could hear people in next room fairly clearly through adjoining door. We will definitely return. And, as an aside, the people of Toronto that we met did the city well- friendly, easy going, polite and welcoming.

I stayed here with the family at the end of June, and found this hotel to be excellent. If you can, do ask for a room looking over centre island, as the views (particularly from up high) are fantastic. The rooms are nice and well kept and the facilities are superb. The gym is fully equipped, including a squat rack (a true rarity at hotels), and the swimming pool is spacious and with gorgeous views. The location is great, right in the middle of the harbour and walking distance from all the main attractions.

Stayed one night with some friends, the room was clean and the location is close to downtown. Lovely view of the lake. Very nice breakfast included. A special shout out to Bin, the director of the front office. He made us feel especially welcome and had a complimentary cheese tray sent to our room. Such a lovely gesture!

Got in late one night for 7 nights, fully booked hotel. The sink was clogged, the toilet flush didn't work - always nice when it's midnight and you've got "things" to do. Got "engineering" (plumber), made it work the next day, but sink remained clogged. Couldn't change room. Staff was supposed to come back to me to change room when some other guests checked but it never happened - and I didn't bother to call them back again either, fairly aggravated. Super noisy, walls made of carton. Even AC stopped, some noise (running water pipes?) was making a constant noise. You can hear the elevators from any rooms. You can feel the hotel's age. Staff OK, but not exceptional either. Didn't get the invoice emailed either, so now have to reach out by phone it seems from abroad. Never again and will advise my company to use another hotel in the future.

Has potential - beautiful lobby and all the essentials (coffee shop, convenience store, hot tub, etc). Unfortunately the cleanliness needs some serious work. The cups in our bathroom were filthy, there were hairs in the shower and on the towels, and stains on the bathroom walls. There was also dirty dishes outside our room when we arrived and they were still there almost 24 hours later. In these covid times I would think they'd be a little more sanitary.

Everything was great until after the first night our sink wasn’t draining properly. After the engineer tried to fix it they said that we would have to move rooms. We had to re pack all of our clothes and belongings and the unpack again in the new room. They moved us to a new room but didn’t provide any compensation for the inconvenience. A room upgrade or a discount on the fare would have been nice…

I stayed here for one night during one of the most busiest weekends in Toronto. My experience at this hotel was great based on the customer service I received. The location of the hotel was nice too. There was a big line to check in, an employee was kind enough to offer us water while we waited. Kahlil was the best, he checked me in in a timely manner, provided useful information I may need for my stay and answered all my questions. Although the room is somewhat outdated, it was clean and had a nice view.

We loved our stay here. When we checked in we had won guest of the week. My kids were over the moon thrilled that we had won something. They went crazy. And they really liked the treats and water bottle included inside the basket. Overall the staff was above and beyond friendly. The level of experience was immaculate. The whole hotel was very clean, we had 0 noise disruptions. We didn’t have to wait too long for elevators and they were hosting a couple events so the hotel was pretty full. The whole pool area was so nice. They had loungers all laid out. And then they had little kid loungers and teepee tents for them to relax in after swimming. It was so nice and welcoming.

A nice hotel with a fantastic view of the Ontario Lake. We stayed there over the weekend. Our room was not ready when we arrived, about 30 minutes after their check-in time (3pm). They did give us an upgraded room that was available, but only after we pushed for it. So, that part of the experience was not particularly pleasant. But the rest of the stay was great. You can’t have a better location. Oh, their breakfast is fantastic and a good value for money.

Our stay was comfortable & clean. One of the things I was most impressed by was the water pressure which is better than most high rise hotels. View from our room were lovely :) it is walking distance to many attractions.

The rooms are just terrible, everything is very old and dirty ... the sink is clogged, at night the toilet was noisy like a jet plane, late at night they moved us to another room, it was quieter but everything was not very clean. Air conditioner over your head of the bed... noisy all night. The balconies are very dirty. The hotel hasn't renovated the rooms since it was built. I do not recommend anyone to stay in this hotel, this is not a hotel, this is a motel, maximum 1 star.

I've been to this conference center twice, and it's a clean, modern facility with the amenities you would expect of a conference center. Food catering is good quality, including drinks. Parking seems to be a bit limited, or maybe I couldn't find their parking garage. I ended parking across the street at the RBC Water Park place. Overall I would recommend this location for events, and it is right next to the lake.

We booked 2 rooms and had our own private hallway. It was clean, cozy with a beautiful view. Jennifer at the front desk was just outstanding from the moment we arrived until the moment we checked out. She made our stay extra special. The pool was spectacular and the best part was you didn’t smell chlorine. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

My interactions with the staff on my trip down were amazing. From checking in, hailing rides, bumping into staff on my floor - everyone was so pleasant and wonderful to talk to. I had a great stay in the facility, but the staff experiences for me is what will bring me back!

What a top notch, award winning, awesome customer service excellence and professionalism. The welcome by the concierge who not only had prepared the accessibility parking for us but then arranged for the luggage to be picked up and delivered directly to our rooms!! Next was the outstanding preparation by the front desk staff who. Warmly greeted us, as Marriott members, was attentive to our needs and then gave us a briefing on all the amenities. He had a genuine smile, and welcomed us just like family. The entire staff and hotel was Covid safe conscientious and particular with regards to the highest of health standards. The rooms were immaculately cleaned and the lakeside view was panoramic. The buffet breakfast or a la carte was outstanding. The hostesses and servers were attentive, courteous, knowledgeable, friendly and enjoyable. These were professionals and outstanding hospitality industry staff with the highest standards gold level excellence. Now the food, delicious, fresh, lots of variety, in terms of freshness and quality of food products. My daughter is vegan and the restaurant the Mizzen had ample delectable items. The Westin experience was first class, outstanding customer oriented staff who worked as a team to provide a truly spectacular visit.

Beautiful big hotel. Comfortable bed good location. Nice staff. But no service. I travel a lot and I wonder why this hotel has no service when most of others have? They are using the « COVID » excuses as some other business do to give less service for same price or even more. Tried to get some wine glasses in my room and it’s forbidden because of COVID? BUT you can order a bottle and it comes with glasses. But no glasses alone. $$ Come on ! I understand the pool and other service that are closed I totally do but room service? I think an hotel has to have room service Covid or not. Adjust to the situation or close your doors. I won’t come back because of that unfortunately.

The hotel is at best ok. But the parking garage situation is completely unacceptable. I can deal with parking my own car, but after I eventually found a parking spot four levels up, I was horrified to learn that there is no elevator back to the hotel. You must walk down the ramps that the cars use. The signage is lacking, therefore making the hike back to the lobby even worse. When I was leaving I double checked and asked if I really had to use the car ramps back to my car, four levels up. Yes, that's how you get to your car. The signage going back up was even worse. I was thankful I was not parked farther up! I cannot imagine that this is actually legal. I will not be staying in this hotel ever again.

Nice staff and good view! However, the furniture in my room is the same as the ones i saw in movies from $50 night low budget motel with who knows what type of stain is on the couch , I had a Jr king suite which I think is the top or second top price rooms they offer. Definitely need to update your furniture.

Do not stay at this hotel!!!! We arrived at 4:45 and our room was not ready. We were told to leave our luggage at the front and they would being it to us in an hour when our room was ready. There was no parking on site. We stayed next to partying teenagers that were still looking for drugs at 3:30am. We called security once and they turned off their music. They continued to slam their door every 15 minutes and we could clearly hear all of their conversations in our room. The location was great but that is all this hotel has to offer

Excellent property right in the Downtown region. The views from the hotel are spectacular. We got a lake facing room on the 31st floor and we could see the Toronto Islands. The view of endless water and sunrise were very pleasing. Plus, the breakfast spread was also nice and they had good vegetarian and gluten free options. Lastly, the staff is very humble and polite. They are always ready to provide the necessary support and help the customers in every possible way.

Great place. I don't go to Toronto often, nor have I been to business meetings or conferences before, so I was uncertain on what to wear, but this place was so fancy I regretted not arriving in heels. Staff were extremely kind and helpful in finding out which room I needed to be in, and the catering service was excellent. The location was pretty good for parking, as well. Overall, a very enjoyable experience.

Stayed here many times and usually very much enjoy myself. Only complaint this time was parking was valet only. No mention of this online or anything. I had previously stayed here 2 months prior and self parking was an option upstairs. Inquired about this and was told it hasn't been self parking for over a yr. Would have parked elsewhere to save the money. All in all was nice. The location by the water is very pleasant

We spent two nights here and it was ok. The views were awesome as was the food. get the western omelette it's so good for breakfast. The only downside was that a few of the elevators were out of service meaning longer wait times but they compensated us with Marriott points. We'll definitely be back !!

Well, The Westin wasn't exactly what I expected. They're in the middle of some renovations, so it's a 50/50 gamble whether you'll get that classic Westin vibe or something more like a roadside motel. My luck leaned toward the motel side. When I got off the elevator, you could instantly tell the difference in carpet quality between the left and right hallways. My room on the right was a bit rough around the edges, with scuffed walls, an open dresser drawer that wouldn't stay shut, furniture that had seen better days, wrinkled sheets, and a bathroom in need of some TLC. With those odds, you might want to roll the dice at a different hotel.

Very nice hotel... Check in was very easy... The Marriot Bonvoy app made the process very, very simple and seamless.... The room was in good condition... The views from our room were phenomenal.... Overlooking the Island and the lake... We were able to take in some beautiful sunsets and sunrises.... Only downside was the on-site restaurant food and parking.... The parking is under construction so it's understandable... But the food was really below standard and not on par with the rest of the hotels' amenities... My daughter really enjoyed the pool.... And the protocols to limit access via appointments made for a comfortable visit to the pool .... We will be back at this hotel when we are in Toronto again.... probably before the end of the year!!!

We had a smooth experience overall. The room was clean, check in was pretty standard, the pool and hot tub were nice and the breakfast was delicious. We didn’t have any special requests and we’re not ultra picky travelers (moderately picky perhaps) so I can’t speak for scenarios when there are special circumstances. We had a lovely stay. Oh, and the AC in the room actually worked and didn’t sound like a diesel train, woohoo:)

  • 4/5 Smac 2 years ago on Google
Nice hotel. Great views of the lake. Unique location right on the water. Staff were great. The lobby drive up is under construction so you don't get to see the mirrored ceiling and lights. Annoyingly the self parking was full when we got back later in the evening. Self parking garage doesn't have an elevator so you can take stairs or walk with the traffic down the ramp. They refunded the $25 parking I already paid for but I had to drive to a lot about 400m away and pay $40. So in the end I had to pay $15 extra to not park on the hotel property. Would have been nice if they comped the off site parking price or at least the difference.

I should drop it to 3 stars. Room service has not been provided due to COVID unless specifically requested. However, a room rate keeps fluctuating depends on a season and a period of the week. Garbage bags guests leave outside of the rooms are not getting removed in a timely manner. Image how common areas look during weekends. AC units in the rooms are extremely loud and can easily wake you up. Overall it is old hotel with poor isolation.

They went above and beyond for us during our entire stay… from giving us early check in, bringing us toothpaste, warming up leftovers for us .. everyone was amazing. The customer service was so good. We had a King room with water views- highly recommend. Stunning views, super clean room, very very comfortable bed, but tv that connects to your Netflix or Amazon prime and free wifi. Perfect location as well, 1 minute walk to the waterfront and the sunrise was amazing. Pool is large- need to book ahead of time because it Covid but gym and cardio rooms you do not need to book ahead of time- just go and they were good.

Great location for a training conference with a very accommodating front desk staff, great spacious room however would like a more spacious bathroom layout. Hallways need some attention - looking a wee bit tired and worn. Overall great!

Nice business hotel, but I think that should be renew a little bit….I’m not talking about the hall, but the rooms (I was at floor 35) that are too much old, cleaned and confortabile, but old. The position is good because is possible to reach the city center walking in 10 minutes, and the train station in 5 minutes. The view from the lake side is really nice and suggestive. The breakfast in the restaurant hall start too late (8 am), otherwise there’s a Starbucks store inside the hall.

For the money commanded by a downtown Toronto hotel, you'd think the bathroom door nob would be correctly installed, the toilet paper holder would not be mounted to the wall one foot behind you nor 1.5 feet off of the ground requiring contortionist-level flexibility to reach. Also, wifi was not included, and bottles of water were strewn around without being obviously marked for a first-time guest that they NOT complimentary and would cost if you weren't a Marriott member. (They had a data breach!) On the flip side, the doormen were VERY nice and helpful and made our stay VERY enjoyable!

Amazing hotel! Location is perfect. The room was great, the view was amazing. Staff was super friendly. Restaurant is good. There is a pool and a hot tub that you can reserve. Parking available, although expensive. Definitely recommend!

Good service and they do care. A little overboard with Covid protocols but then again, I blame the government. As a result room was never cleaned. Also no valet (no warning either) and as a result have to walk up ramps (dangerous) in a falling apart garage to retrieve my car. They charge the same price though! Also one of my rooms had defective lock. Had to move rooms.

We had a very welcoming host at the reception desk- or at least that is how he sounded at first, by mentioning as a healthcare worker we appreciate what you guys do for community! He promised us a room in a quiet corner since I had to woke up early next day to head work! When we got to the room sanitized all the surfaces, unpacked and ready to head out for dinner then we realized the door was locked and we are trapped in the room with no way getting out! Called the front desk, sent two guys to our room tried fixing the door for awhile then at the end told us to go back to the desk to have your room changed!! There is nothing they can do! Here we are already late for dinner, we had to pack again and take all our stuff back to the desk to claim a different room! Went to the same guy this time despite what I expected - we were given a room that was the noisiest probably in building and took almost 24 hr until it warmed up!! Had no energy left to go back and ask for a different room - since we already sanitized and unpacked for the second time in one night!! Also the bathtub had so much mold!!!!! Expected better customer service specially when that was hotel’s fault not do proper checking of their rooms also for the receptionist as he knew that I had to leave for a shift early morning, and since he seemed to be appreciative of health care workers!!!!!!!!

We had a great stay! A bit of a glitch with our room, but Leonard the supervisor on duty was terrific at taking care of us, went above and beyond in making sure the room was to our liking, even coming upstairs to check on us. Thank you for the great service and beautiful room!

  • 4/5 Allan T. 2 years ago on Google
Very nice customer service. Unfortunately, the walls were thin and loud partying was heard throughout the night. We had to move rooms at 1am. Still, 4 stars for their accommodating presence.

My time at the Westin was absolutely fantastic! The staff were great, the food was delicious and hotel itself has everything you need. The fitness center is nice, as well as the pool area. A highlight for me for me was the business centre as they were so quick to respond and executed projects perfectly. I would definitely return to this hotel.

Absolutely stunning facility! The hotel itself if beautiful and elegant. The location is amazing. The views are spectacular. The harbour is beautiful. The park and waterfront walking trails are perfect. The rooms are high end. The desk staff, parking valet, everyone we met were extremely friendly and helpful. There are food trucks, restaurants, convenience stores all within short walking distance. Parking is right on site and covered. We were here for a Leafs game. You could see Scotia Bank arena right from the hotel. It's a quick two block walk away!

Had a fabulous experience with the staff. Lobby is great and the ping pong table was an added bonus. Outside looks a bit dated and some little things in the room that I’m sure will be refreshed in time. Great views of the lake including airplanes and ferries. Would happily return here the next time we are in the city. Key app on the phone didn’t work for the pool area so we opted to get a physical key card. Pool deck is quite slippery, wear sandals. :)

  • 5/5 Peter D. 2 years ago on Google
The friendliest hotel staff in Toronto. And the pool is fantastic. Quite large for a downtown hotel. Great for kids. Also, the sauna and steam rooms are both decently hot - sometimes hotels have them set too cool. Beautiful views over the lake.

Lovely hotel in the harbour area. Ask for room overlooking Lake Ontario, stunning views. Rooms are spacious and quiet. Restaurant and bar located in lobby are inviting. Coffee shop in lobby caters for breaky on the go. Great location within walking distance of local attractions. You might see the odd plane pass your window 😎

My stay was excellent 100% because of Leonard at the front desk. Despite being extremely busy he was very accommodating to me and my entire group. At every step he went above and beyond for us and exemplified exceptional hospitality and interpersonal skills. I would recommend he be promoted asap, Marriott needs more employees like him!!

I enjoyed my stay here. Hotel room was very nice. Very clean. Very comfortable bed. Great view of Toronto Island. Can’t say a bad thing really. Breakfast was very good. If I had one complaint and I don’t really care, it was the windows on the outside were a little dirty making it hard to take a picture. It’s April so…winter is over. I’m sure they will clean them soon.

Excellent service!!! Was at a conference that was held at Westin Harbour Castle. Staff were super amazing and attentive, especially bartender Rosa. Upon approaching the bar, Rosa recognized me from a previous conference prior to the pandemic. She remembered me and my choice of beverage. We had a quick chat and caught up, very impressive. Thank you Rosa for for making a great experience even better.

Exceptional hotel in a great location. Gerardo (Geri) went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Rooms were beautiful with a view of the lake. Thank you Geri for the incredible hospitality and customer service. We will absolutely stay here again the next time we’re in Toronto.

We had a business trip with many people staying in several rooms, arriving on different days under the same reservation. Gerardo (Geri) was at the front desk every day, greeting us and ensuring we had everything we needed. There were many places for us to gather, eat, and meet at this hotel, and we will stay there again for sure! Could not have asked for a better stay. Wish we could have had more time to use their complimentary electric bicycles!

Location is the only great thing about this hotel. Room was not clean, hair strands everywhere, clogged tub drain, empty body wash and an almost empty hair conditioner. I requested for bath amenities and they provided (one) body wash in a 36 ml container! I requested for foam pillows and got feather pillows instead. I have also requested for a quiet room location but they reserved a room for me in front of the lift lobby. Woken up multiple times in the middle of the night because of the guests laughing and shouting in the lift lobby area (1am, 2am and 4am) Yes, you can hear even the toilet flush sound from the other rooms. I would understand if this hotel is not a 4-star location. We got the lake view but you cant even take a decent photo because the windows were not clean enough. If you are a light sleeper, get yourself prepared because A/C makes a horrible sound and can disrupt your good night sleep as well.

The housekeeping is lacking. Arrived at 3 pm and was told my room was not ready. Waited four hours to finally get my room. The front desk did give me two-days breakfast vouchers and a refreshing room after two hours of waiting, but still, my family wasted four hours just waiting for the room. After we entered our room, I noticed there was no rollaway bed that I requested in my reservation. So we waited another hour to get our rollaway bed. On our second day, we requested cups and coffee, but never got them. There are five elevators in the north tower. Those are fast but keep having trouble here or there. Two elevators wouldn't close. Another one always closes too fast. Other services seem nice. It's a nice hotel. However, they need better or more people in housekeeping and engineering.

My boyfriend and I visited for a weekend and had the best experience ever. It was our first time staying in a Westin property & everything exceeded expectations. The staff was so kind and was able to assist us with anything we may have needed during our stay from extra pillows, towels and toothbrushes. The view was beautiful and the room was clean with some of the most comfortable beds we’ve slept in. We will be staying here for every trip to Toronto in the foreseeable future.

Stayed here for a conference. Was given an amazing room on the 30th floor with both city and lake view. It was spectacular. Westin bedding alone is worth the stay. Discovered the Westin Store, my house now smells of the amazing white tea signature scent. Had to buy the body wash as well. Staff were incredibly. Especially considering the size of our group, check-in and check-out were a breeze. Thanks for a great stay, I will definitely be back.

The location is the only good thing about this dated hotel. We stayed in room 2726 and had a great view of the water and airport. The room had 2 double beds that were comfortable but very small for 2 adults to share, the air conditioning was weak and had a hard time keeping the room cool, which led to the AC unit being overworked. The unit would drip all night long like water dripping from the tap and it even dripped through the grates onto the bed getting the bed wet. For a hotel that is charging over $400 a night to stay, there are too many issues in this dated hotel that is living on their name & location to charge $400 a night. I would look for a newer or updated place to stay next time I come to visit & you should as well.

The Westin is always great for families with pets! The service was great beginning with check in. The room was clean and comfortable. Gorgeous views whether you have a lake view or a city view room. Family room with movies and popcorn, awesome well equipped gym. Everything you can expect from a Westin. You can tell the building is a little older, but they have updates inside and out. Not so exceptional: the comforter was stained. Doesn’t look like a fresh stain, as it seemed like the linens were washed. But it had several stains, and it was very apparent when you hold the comforter against the light from the window. I took a star off based on just this. Truly exceptional: service all around, and especially the breakfast. Had a delicious breakfast, highlighted by a delicious made to order omelette by chef Trisha. I understand why they don’t do it, but omelette bars have too jars or maybe a we code for tips. Q and Mimi understood what our table wanted even before I even said anything. Hallmark of first rate service. Thank you for a great stay.

Stayed at the Westin recently for a mini stay cation for my partners birthday. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean, and the check in and out process was seamless. The pool and hot tub were well maintained. The lounge was a nice place to grab a drink and a bite to eat. The best part was that they prepared a special birthday treat for my partner! Thanks Westin team for a great stay, would definitely stay again.

Very nice hotel. Restaurant and Starbucks in lobby are good. Minor concern with the cleanliness of my room. Corner of bathroom floor and ledges were very dusty, had hair etc. The rest of the room seemed clean but these little details make you nervous. Coffee maker was good but leaked a lot. Bed was very comfortable. Swimming pool was small but hot tub was nice. Would stay again.

Blown away! Thank you isn’t enough! You found out we were there to celebrate our daughter’s birthday and made our stay incredibly special. There was a gift and card waiting in our upgraded room, everyone was wishing her a happy birthday! She felt incredibly special. Thank you for all of the extra special touches including the food trays delivered to our room. Everyone was wonderful and we so appreciated everything. Highly recommend this hotel for any stay, but especially those special events!

The service was absolutely phenomenal at this hotel. From the moment I checked in, till our departure from the hotel, we were treated so well! Emily checked us in, upgrading our room to have a nicer view and quieter location as I was with my young daughter. She also surprised us with a complimentary breakfast coupon for a meal at the restaurant. The hotel is nicely located near the Scotiabank Arena, ideal if you’re walking back after a concert, game or show. (Less than a 6 minute walk). We didn’t explore the facilities too much as we were only there for one night, but the front lobby and restaurant were quite nice. The staff at the restaurant was so lovely and attentive, and stayed to chat with us about our stay. They had a nice fireplace set up to take photos! It is an older hotel and didn’t look great from the outside, but it was nicely cared for internally. Definitely would come back to stay here again!

The phrase for this hotel is “grand old dame”. The staff is lovely and very helpful, the property is well maintained, just older and missing some key updates. For instance the sign in the elevator says you need your key card to go upstairs but that’s not true. Anyone can ride those elevators. Same with all the lobby bathrooms and conference level bathrooms, they are all unlocked 24-7. To their credit you do need a key card to get into the pool area, but not to the changing rooms. Location is great and rooms are comfortable, just smaller because this hotel is 50 years old.

Staff is attentive. Was here for a week conference with the Salvation Army and it was comfortable - in process of updating some areas of the hotel. Beds were comfortable. In the room having a mini fridge was nice. Also in-room coffee maker. TV was nice to be able to use chromecast to watch youtube and other various video services. One elevator was out of service making elevators slow, we had a large crowd one evening and right away a staff person took some of the group up the service elevator clearing this up in 5 minutes. Would stay again - a good range of food options - sandwiches to full meal menus and great buffet.

Had a great time at the Westin Harbor Castle. Stayed in one of the king suites and everything was amazing. From the staff made it clear they wanted to do everything they could to make our stay amazing and they definitely delivered. The hotel has a ton of amenities including 4 restaurants, a bar, pool, hot tub and other fantastic items. Love the mobile key, it makes it so much more convenient than. Carrying around the key card. The room was well taken care of and had an amazing view of the bay. Definitely recommend checking it out!

Hello - Not a bad stay for the most part! The only odd service we encountered was with the same person. The gentleman who was very polite while he checked me in and admonished me as I were a child for using my nickname on my app/reservation and not my full name (I have been doing this my whole life) after presenting my AAA card, license and credit card in my full name he insisted on seeing something w my nickname on it - luckily my club card from home had my nickname. Not welcoming! On out last night there my husband became quite ill, I was able to find him meds in gift shop but he needed something to eat with the medication, so I was on the search for yogurt. Room Service didn’t serve it until morning, the shop didn’t have any so I thought the front desk could get me a small cup as they serve it at the breakfast buffet. When I was greeted at the front desk by the same person who checked me in and I explained the situation he said across the street at the market they have it, I was appalled. Not that he was rude but very dismissive of my plight. I went back to my room, sent a chat message on the Marriott App and someone in your hotel quickly dispatched a container of yogurt to our room, the gentleman arrived quickly with a smile. 😊 Great location, our room was in good repair and clean, bustling with families, couples a lively combination. Excellent breakfast service - staff was super attentive and friendly, we stopped and had a cocktail and snack the day we arrived that too was a great experience. The morning we left it was apparent my husband was in distress, one of your valet staff acknowledged us, got him some water for the car ride and quickly loaded our bags for me so I could assist him. I wish I had noted his name his compassion when I was very tired and stressed was much appreciated. Would I stay here again, yes!

My friends and I stayed at the Westin for a couple of days on a girls trip to Toronto. We loved that they provided a luggage check for us to drop our bags before we checked in and after we checked out. They also provided us with lots of water, which was fantastic considering how hot it was during our stay!

I have had an excellent experience at this hotel and convention center. The rooms are large with great views of the waterfront. The room service is great and the daily service is so nice to see again. I was here for a convention and the facilities were large and clean. Overall I had a great time and would recommend this hotel.

Very nice hotel with modern and well appointed rooms. Staff was very friendly and helpful Had a corner room on the 23rd floor with wonderful views of the harbor. Don't miss going to Don Alphonso's Restaurant while there. Highly recommend

Our flight got canceled so we ended up arriving a day later, we asked the hotel to please update the reservation start date if possible, they said no because they had let us check in about 2 hours earlier than what’s standard so we had to pay for the night before that. Family with infant. Wanted to extend our stay prior to this interaction but decided to take our business elsewhere afterwards. Terrible access to hotel for those with disabilities and strollers elevators don’t work and once they arrive after 10 minutes they come packed with people already onboard so you can’t fit and have to wait for the next one. since they are slow older elevators and the doors shut so fast that unless another adult is around to help your stroller will get crushed and damaged.

I recently stayed at this hotel and found it to have a good location with acceptable service. However, I must say that it fell short of my expectations for a supposed 4-star establishment. The cleanliness left much to be desired, and on the very first day of our visit, we faced a problem with the bathtub being clogged. Another drawback was the consistently long wait for the elevators, despite the presence of four of them. While the hotel has potential, it needs to address these concerns to truly live up to its rating.

My husband and I stayed here last weekend for a wedding and although our room was a bit outdated, the views were unreal. We got to stay on a high floor and we had a corner room with views of the water and of the city. I have stayed at this hotel at least three times and the service is always right. Staff are attentive, friendly and available to assist. Of course this is Toronto so you might have to wait in line! I've seen alot of complaints on the price but quite frankly, all hotels in Toronto are averaging the same. Their price point is not any higher than average. Cannot wait to stay again, great memories were made!

The service at this hotel was impeccable. I unexpectedly needed assistance in the middle of the night and the staff was all hands on deck and diligently followed up the next day. The pool area is clean, spacious, and very relaxing. Rooms are comfortable and clean. The lake view is gorgeous. The hotel is extremely accessible to everything. The valet system is super efficient. Everyone was so kind, caring, and thoughtful that I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel or stay here again in the future.

We loved this hotel! The service was among the best we’ve had. Everyone was so kind; they really went above and beyond. The views from the lakeside rooms were amazing. The hotel location next to the ferry is great for getting out to Toronto Island (a must!!!), and it’s a 10min walk to City Hall and other points of interest downtown. It happened to be my daughter’s birthday during our stay. They sent surprise complimentary desserts and a stuffy to our room for her. The restaurant staff always greeted us warmly for breakfast and made sure we had everything we needed. Really everyone was wonderful. The pool is also amazing - it’s the largest pool I’ve seen in a downtown hotel and has a proper deep end. My only mini complaint is that I didn’t like that the in-room Keurig was in a sectioned off area of the bathroom. I recommend that they move them to the main room, on the dresser or desk.

I recently stayed at this hotel with my wife. We had an incredible experience. We spoke with a representative named Valeriia upon check-in. She was very helpful and polite and was kind enough to upgrade our hotel room to a gorgeous waterfront view. Rooms are comfortable and clean and the service and hospitality was excellent. Hotel is located conveniently with a lot of amenities around. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend this hotel. Thanks again Valeriia for all your help making our stay memorable. Abdul W

They took a very long time to get the room ready I waited from 4:00pm to 7:30 pm to get my room which I had already checked into online. They gave me a food voucher but honestly all I needed to do was relax after a rough couple of days. It didn’t help that I became I’ll too. The rest of the stay went okay. But they gotta do better with the check in. The staff were pleasant, I spent the next two days just relaxing and watching the boats sail by.

Great location, able to walk to numerous shops. Had lake view room, nice to watch water traffic, which was quite busy. Very nice accommodations, most comfortable conference room chairs, OK to sit for several hours and remain comfortable. Good breakfast buffet.

Had a great staycation! Check in was available early. The room was super clean. Check out was extended to 1pm which was great! Room service for breakfast was excellent and came with a table! Only less than ideal thing was we were forced to valet park for $55 because the normal parking was full. Location was great for a summer night away. Also got to see the CNE air show from the room :)!

The hotel is quite old. It needs to be remodeled. When we stayed there in Sep, some construction/maintenance work is going on. There are areas blocked by the yellow tape, which is very unpleasant. The bathroom is not clean. There is black stuff on the wall of the shower. The squash room smells really bad. If you have a car, valet parking is required at the property, which costs $50 a day. Overall, very disappointed. Way below the Westin standard.

I stayed for the long weekend. I booked lake view room For 645$ a night.when I checked out I explained that if I wanted this view I would have gone to a 2 star motel for 1/4 of the price. All was offered was a waive valet fee that they impose on you mandatory. Not what I was expecting from a westin.

This location was perfect for touring Toronto. Just a couple minutes walk to the streetcar station, and 20 min ride down to the Ex. Very close to the CN tower! The staff here were all friendly; valet, front desk, luggage storage. All great. The lady who was checking us out even gave a great recommendation for a cute breakfast place. However, the room that we stayed in did not match the room pictures on the website. I understand that they are doing renovations right now, but the pictures should indicate what you are receiving. Our room was in need of some repairs; the toilet made a very loud sound when flushing, the tub didn’t drain, and the carpet was very stretched and would fold up, making a tripping hazard if you weren’t careful. The wallpaper is peeling and the windows are quite dirty on the outside. We enjoyed using the pool & hot tub, and we saw that they have bikes available to use, which is a great idea in Toronto.

Thanks so much to Westin Harbor Castle Toronto for a fabulous experience for our first time in Toronto! Marriott and its staff at the hotel surprised us with naming us Guests of the Day which was a harbinger of good things to come during our visit. In addition to falling in love with the City, the staff and accommodations at the Westin were outstanding. Everyone of the staff we came in contact with were friendly, professional, accommodating and insured our stay was 5 star. We plan to return to the Westin to enjoy more of Toronto!

FEMALE TRAVELERS AVOID!!!! I checked in on Wednesday Sept 20, 2023 (it took 25 mins to get checked in, but it was busy). I took my key and went up to my room. I unlocked the door and WALKED IN ON OTHER WOMEN already occupying that room. The hotel had issued me a key to a room already occupied. I was able to walk right in. It was SO SCARY to think how easily that happened. The clerk insisted that 'my system shows the room is available' - well that doesn't make anyone feel better!! They then gave me another room - a downgrade - a lower floor and in the elevator lobby. Then, 30 mins later, my co-worker comes to register for the last of the 5 rooms in our block, and is given a key to a room ALREADY OCCUPIED by our other team member. So, TWICE, this hotel issued keys for a woman's room to someone else. They offered me a free breakfast coupon and then followed with a call to offer a refund on my room. That is great for my company (work travel) but doesn't really make me feel better. No idea if the women I walked in on were compensated. Finally, the room had ZERO outlets. I looked everywhere for someplace to charge my phone at night and only found one in the bathroom and one in the coffee nook. Good luck if you have a laptop you'd like to work on.

The Westin Harbour Castle was the highlight of a long travel day, after being relocated from my original hotel that was oversold and staying here, the staff was phenomenal with assisting me with accommodation and overall customer service was amazing. The employee went out of their way to ensure that I had a great stay, upgraded my room to ensure that I had a nice room with a king bed, away from the elevators and with a view of the lake simply to improve my experience. On top of that, the room was incredibly clean and made for a very relaxing space to be in.

We had a great stay at the Westin last week. Service was great from the time we arrived, with the valet, the door staff letting me know where the park was for my dog and our check-in. The next morning Shams started our day off perfectly over breakfast with the best service! Overall, outstanding customer service at the Westin.

Had a fantastic stay at this Westin. The location is very convenient, and the area is super walkable. The rooms were clean and spacious. They could use an update in the near future, but overall they were fine. Bed is decently comfortable. The pool and workout facilities were great. Staff were really nice and helpful. We did not dine on-site, but did get coffee a couple of mornings. Valet service was also good, with a QR code you could scan to have your car ready for you by the time you head down. (Stayed September 2023)

The hotel is well situated with beautiful views of the lake. The facilities are good, the staff are enthusiastic and friendly. The down side of my stay was the loud sound of the four elevators, rumbling day and night, which kept me awake and made it an unpleasant stay. I was attending a conference and being deprived of sleep I struggled to concentrate, ruined the trip to be honest. Maybe there are quieter rooms in the hotel but I should have stayed elsewhere.

  • 2/5 Aaron L. 6 months ago on Google
The rooms are decent, if you get a view of the lake. The service is mediocre to lacking at best. Especially if you are in charge of booking a conference, I suggest the Sheraton Centre instead. Better accommodations, better service, a much more honest experience full of hospitality.

This is an amazing place to stay at. If you’re travelling to Toronto, you must stay at the Westin Harbour Castle. I had an amazing experience thanks to the customer service staff. Please give her a raise and promotion. 😁

On balance a three star hotel. Points for updated lobby bar with good service, waterfront location and valet app. Rooms were awkward and a terrible design for conferences. Its like walking a maze of corridors and levels with sone venues in a different building across the street. Food is mediocre and PH suites a disappointment.

We had a great experience at the hotel and the check-in staff are brilliant. They really did make our stay comforting and not to mention the views of the lake from our room was amazing. Great location as we were able to walk along the harbour or to CN tower.

Wonderful and helpful staff very friendly cordial well disposed !!! North & South tower contrast in terms of rooms refurbishment. Overall very well maintained. Regrettably, food offered as well as coffee in the rooms and the bar need some improvement Lobby would need a major upgrade in the long run.

We had a fabulous room on the 9th floor with a view overlooking the Toronto Islands. The room and bathroom were spacious, very comfortable and spotless. The body wash, shampoo and conditioner were in refillable containers in the shower. Body lotion and mouth wash were also provided, as well as complimentary bottled water. The Sleep Well lavender balm was a nice touch! Great to have coffee and tea making facilities. The buffet breakfast offered a range of food choices. Our only problem was with the elevators (hence not a 5 star rating). It was an absolute fiasco trying to get down to meet in the lobby at 7.45a.m. After waiting 15 mins, our only option was to go up to the 30-something floor, and then back down in a crowded elevator via every floor, saying "sorry full". Most unpleasant.

Stayed at this hotel during a recent medical conference. The staff mostly saved the experience - there was an exceptional server in the lounge - she remembered us each time we went there, even what we had to drink, and helped us to navigate the menu. Pervez at the front desk went above and beyond at check-in. The property is central & convenient. The level of cleanliness of my room was disappointing as I found several hairs from the prior guest in the bathroom upon entry. The banquet manager was attentive & staff were overall good, but morale seemed low. The rooms and parts of the hotel was dated, and wifi connectivity was unreliable. Wayfinding was confusing from the hotel to the convention centre and the escalators were not functional. The conference centre had issues with temperature control that went from frigid to overheating in the meeting rooms.

We were excited to be staying at the Harbour Castle but when we arrived in our Jeep, we were told it was an oversized vehicle and we would have to find public parking somewhere else. This was 3:20 in the afternoon. The manager told us that the hotel has 900 rooms and only 200 parking spots. He further told us that reservations are for rooms and do not guarantee parking. Would have been nice to know in advance. They would not do anything to assist us but offered to pay for public parking once we found it. This was terrible service and we were made to feel very unwanted. Being a Bonvoy Elite member... truly didn't matter so, i called the ROYAL YORK booked in there and left the poor service of the Harbour Castle. No problem parking our apparently oversized Jeep there.... make sure you know that parking is not guaranteed when you book your stay at the Harbour Castle ... btw for the Hockey Hall of Fame induction ceremonies, Royal York is a better option as you can travel totally underground to the hall...

Beautiful views of both the harbour and the city depending on room. Staff is friendly and always able to get situations sorted. At the time of writing this the south tower is fully under construction which did drive up prices compared to other hotels in the area.

When I stayed here, there was a power outage at about 8AM. And that would normally have been fine, but the hotel manager proceeded to wake up the entire building with the emergency sirens and intercom to announce the power had gone out. He then proceeded to go back on the intercom system and remind everyone that the power was indeed out every 5 minutes until the power came back on, rengaging the emergency sirens every time. To me this seems like a poor way to have handle this situation, if they had not announced it, most guests wouldn't even have noticed.

Why is this a dog friendly hotel but there is no place to sit with your dog in the lobby/restaurant. No designated space in the lobby/restaurants for you to sit with a small dog under 15 lbs. I understand if this is not a dog friendly hotel but this is why we felt we could bring her with us. There should be a space in the hotel besides our room where you can sit and have a coffee or a small meal. Keep in mind you can bring your dog into the building but sitting down is a problem. Rooms are mediocre. Staff was great.
