I'm
in
love
with
King
Edward!
When
I
come
to
Toronto
to
visit
friends
and
family,
this
is
where
I
stay.
I
fell
in
love
with
the
place
the
first
time
I
saw
Leonard
Cohen
lounging
around
there
in
"I
Am
A
Hotel".
Fans
of
Leonard
should
look
it
up
on
YouTube,
it's
a
gem.
Though
a
bit
run
down
in
the
mid-eighties,
the
elegance
of
the
hotel
shone
through.
I
stayed
at
the
King
Eddie
the
first
time
in
2017
and
thought
it
was
exceptionally
beautiful,
the
renovation
was
thoroughly
well
done.
I
love
the
hotel
for
the
following
reasons:
-
It
has
a
significant
history,
which
makes
it
magical
for
me.
Staying
there
is
a
bit
like
being
in
an
episode
of
Downton
Abbey.
-
It's
conveniently
located,
a
short
walk
to
the
harbour
front
or
the
Eaton
Center.
-
The
food
is
excellent.
-
The
neighbouring
streets
are
quiet
at
night,
but
by
day
are
bustling
and
full
of
great
restaurants
and
coffee
shops.
-
The
staff
are
friendly,
professional
and
gracious.
-
As
a
government
employee,
the
hotel
offers
me
a
good
rate.
-
We
can
bring
our
beloved
dog.
-
The
hotel
is
just
so
damned
beautiful!
Why
would
I
ever
stay
anywhere
else?
